I haven't tried Diptyque fragrance before, though I was familiar with the candles. This fragrance is very fresh and spring like with a hint of mystery. Notes of orange blossom, angelica root, juniper berry and patchouli, its unusual, which is just how I like my fragrances. On application I can pick up the orange blossom and patchouli, such an interesting combo. On the dry down, the patchouli drops off and you get more green vibes. Also pick up more of the Angelica root, which has notes of earth, musk, celery, pepper, herbs and a hint of citrus. It's best to anchor bright citrus notes, so its a very interesting pairing. I really am digging this fragrance!

This is one of those scents that I was told I would absolutely love as someone who appreciates vanilla perfume but doesn't like the cloying sweetness that often accompanies it. I was sent a sample of Eau Duelle in both the EDT and EDP form and I'm glad I didn't blind buy bottles of either. They are both very nice, but I struggle to detect much vanilla in them. I find both formulas to be quite "green" in nature, with spicy/herbal undertones. Maybe Patchouli? I'm not sure. I don't have a sophisticated nose so I can't say for sure, but I definitely don't love how these mix with my skin chemistry. Almost a medicinal sense, which isn't for me. Also, this is quite strong! A little goes a very long way and lasts all day. I guess I was disappointed because so many described ... Not for me, but still quite pleasant if you like fresh, green scents. The woodsy notes are domineering (kind of like rosemary or pine?).

I bought this as part of the Holiday EDP sampler set as I liked the sound of the notes in this perfume as well as the others in the set. I was especially keen on the rose and bergamot, but I'm truly disappointed to say I don't smell those notes at all. From the beginning I'm hit with an old-lady smell (the musty, heavy kind of scent) and once that dries down the predominant note I sense is patchouli and woodiness which lasts the longest of all. This perfume is too strong for work and being close to other people, plus on the off day could give me a headache. It's only at the end of the day that I can smell a faint whiff of a delicate floral which is its only redeeming feature. So if you like heavy amber and woody perfumes from the early 1900s, then you might like ... I was actually at my local Nordstrom checking out some Tom Ford that was on sale when this random guy (probably a Nordstrom plant) told my lady and I about this brand with and interesting name. We were still deciding on Tom Ford when he came back with a sample so we decided to check them out. I ended up buying this one as my lady liked it. Smells great as it settles into a clean smell after a while, but it does not last very long for the price tag. I have several bottle of Tom Ford that last me all day using the exact same routine with a shower, non smelling lotion and application at pulse points with a couple of sprays. Even the Tom Ford my lady wears lasts all night...although she probably squirts on more than me. For the price, I think it should last longer. ... Diptyque eau capitale EAU de parfum is a beautiful and versatile scent that is perfect for both day and night wear. The fragrance is composed of a blend of floral, woody, and spicy notes that create a complex and captivating aroma. The design and packaging of the perfume is also gorgeous, making it a perfect gift for a loved one or for yourself. I personally love to spray it in the morning and it lasts all day, which is a great value. Overall, I highly recommend Diptyque eau capitale EAU de parfum for anyone looking for a high-quality, long-lasting fragrance that is both beautiful and versatile. Everyone who smells it on me always compliments it.
I like Diptype's perfumes as they are very unique. I love floral perfumes. So when I got a 7.5ml bottle of this as part of a beautifully packaged 5 piece tester set, I was very excited to try it. However, it really is quite a weak scent and not particularly floral. Depite being light in its scent it does make me feel a little nauseous. It's really hard to put my finger on why I don't like it but it smells almost cheap. If you love floral perfumes then I'd suggest trying a tester in a SpaceNK shop before purchasing this as you might be dissapointed like me. Shame.
Absolutely obsessed with this fragrance. I usually enjoy fragrances with warm vanilla, patchouli and sexy sophisticated earthy vibes. Eau Duelle isn’t offensive or overly woodsy; unisex but leans heavily feminine. Beautiful for close encounters and cozy situations like the office and intimate dates. If you love Vanilla based fragrances, I recommend it.Unfortunately it doesn’t last for more than a couple hours, which I find extremely disappointing. It’s pricy for a Parfum, especially for one that only lasts a couple hours. Absolutely NO longevity. I didn’t find other reviews mentioning this issue so maybe I received an older bottle… ?
Tried it on in the store to see how it would smell on me after an hour. OMG I was so obsessed w/ it. I didn't even take a shower the next day because I could still smell it. Well I promptly purchased it online and anxiously awaited its arrival. BIG FAIL. It's the same scent but it's much lighter and goes away very quickly. It's been 3 hours since I generously sprayed it and I can barely get a whiff with my nose pressed up against my arm. When I tried it in the store I smelled it 24 hours later and hadn't even sprayed as much. I saw another review said the same thing so now I'm wondering what's going on. I'll be returning it. Soooo disappointed as I absolutely loved it in the store.
The Diptyque Eau des Sens is a classic fragrance that has stood the test of time since its launch in 2016 in my humble opinion. The scent is a beautiful blend of bitter orange, juniper berries, and patchouli, creating a unique and unforgettable aroma. The fragrance is perfect for any occasion, and its longevity ensures you can enjoy it all day long. The packaging is simple yet elegant, reflecting the understated sophistication of the scent itself. A timeless fragrance that is equally versatile and captivating.
i received this in a discovery set and have been trying it out ever since.this is a really interesting and unique perfume. Theres something cool, like cold white chalky soap powder in this perfume. Thats the main vibe together with juniper berries. i think this berry note reminds me of the raspberry note in lncomes la nuit tresor. i dont always do well with berry notes. this one feels sharp and can give me a headache if i inhale it too much.not sure if i will invest in a full bottle just yet but i do like the clean powdery soap aspect of it.
