There’s some sweetness and creaminess, along with a woodiness from the fig tree bark. I was hesitant to try this at first, as I’ve never really been a fan of “green”ish Parfums. HOWEVER!! A friend of mine had this and I couldn’t stop smelling her lol. That in itself lead me to buy my own bottle! I do not regret it at all! In fact, I may just have to purchase the larger bottle next time. Because I’M STILL NOT TIRED OF IT!! It is also a great unisex fragrance. I put it on my son after his football games lol… I mean, it’s the same soap we use at the Ritz, so he does smell a little better lol. It is just so refreshing! 5 STARS for scent and Nordstrom!

Nordstrom is the best. I placed an order and it's at my door within 48 hours. Okay now the scent review. I tried on the EDP and I really liked it. I wore it around all day shopping. I could smell it a bit before my evening shower. I ordered it the next morning on Nordstrom.com. It shipped fast.... I didn't realize that I had ordered the EDT and I opened it and gave it a spray. It didn't have the same vetiver top note as EDP but as it developed I could smell the vetiver. A more subtle version with some unexpected notes that I really ended up liking. . Turns out I really like the EDT.........and EDP. LOL

Formula is inconsistent

I used to absolutely love this scent but they have changed the formula and it now has a very linear fig leaf type smell. Not complex or long lasting either. I now wear a perfume by Samuel Gravan, a Belgian perfumer here in Sydney who makes a limited run of a woody fig perfume which has depth and projects nicely. Why Mecca do not support artisan Australian perfumers is beyond me. The scent is hard to source though but the scent is divine. Worth the wait! For now I will alternate between these two or try to blend them.

Great Spring/Summer scent

This is a beautiful green, woody fig scent! It makes me feel like I am living out my cottage-core dreams on a Greek island. This perfume made me realize how much I love green notes. The fig is almost photorealistic--it is backed by a delicious creaminess and sharp green/wood note, replicating the branches of a tree. This is a beautiful light-skin scent for spring and summer. The EDT does not have excellent projection or longevity, but I still love it anyway--the uniqueness of this scent and the happiness it brings me is worth it. For the price, I would recommend sampling before buying, but I think this scent would work for many people.

Mediterranean summer in a bottle

Just beautiful. Obviously, I am a fan of fig scents but it can go really wrong sometimes. To me, Phylosykos it's reminiscent of sunny days in Sicily, stopping to pick up wild figs growing on the side of the roads. The reason why it is so special is that Diptyque have wisely included fig leaf, fig wood and fig milk scents so it really smells as natural as when you pick and break a leaf. If you like fig, this is it: an earthy, natural yet complex fragrance. I agree with others, I see this as more of a summer perfume but of course it can be worn all round for a hit of sunshine.

So disappointing!

I have been wearing this perfume ever since it first came out and have loved it. I often have a break for a few years and then go back to it!I was gifted it for Christmas & the disappointment is huge! You can definitely smell the fragrance when you put the bottle to your nose but when you spray it on the scent is literally gone after 5-10 minutes, seriously, I’m not kidding!This perfume isn’t cheap so I’m angry that I now have to find another fragrance & fork out more cash! I will definitely never purchase this fragrance again!Note - This is not Meccas fault however I would suggest they rethink stocking this product moving forward!
