His books not only entertain the kids, but they also tickle the adult sense of humour. I love Dahl's quirky take on life and his "alternate" view of traditions and stories we take for granted. His use of the English language is clever, funny and always entertaining and often with surprise endings that delight kids.

My grandchildren love this book from the youngest to the oldest me included never get tiered of reading aloud to one another special times together I have brought them all one each as mine is getting a bit tiered and who do I let keep it ,

Funny and exciting stories.
My niece wanted to read this Roald Dahl book before seeing the stage play as she hadnt heard of these stories. She is now a keen reader of Roald Dahl.
