I bought one of these after reading the reviews. The first one was missing the unique cable that goes from the battery to the headset so the device wasn’t unusable. We returned that purchase to the store.The second one came with everything and was in much better condition. Both drones had “last video footage” saved in them from the Best Buy refurbishing center and the people who worked on these units last before they were purchased.If Best Buy reads this I’d suggest having a checklist for items like this to improve the experience of those buying “geek squad certified” refurbished items. It can work like a regular drone, or you can flip it into manual mode and it turns into a racer. I will say it is difficult to learn how to fly it in manual mode, one wrong move and it’s on the ground. You can put it in simulation mode and use the goggles to practice which I highly recommend. It’s super fun and very fast even in sport mode, i’ve gotten it to about 62 miles an hour in that mode.  you can put it in normal mode and that will make it behave like a normal camera drone with all of the benefits like anti-collision detection. it also has a very nice feature that they call return to home, if you go too far out and you lose video transmission it will stop and start flying back to you. The drone came thrown in the box but was in excelent condition and only had smudges from the fingers of the person who previously had it. The controller, goggles, and drone were already bound together. Im assuming the drone is still registered to the previous person, I'll have to contact DJI about that. I've used best buy refurbished in the past for other items and had good luck, but even if yours comes messed up or missing essential items, just return it, get your money back, and get another one. I'm sure if you explain the situation to someone at your best buy they will understand.

The fail-safe button didn't work, and changing the mode from manual to sport/normal didn't work. All I could do was watch my drone spin crazily from 800 feet, even with a good signal. "Sensor error," It says. I was kinda laughing at the reviews of someone else saying "Careful with this drone, it carooned across soccer fields before finally crashing, and what next prison"? Then it happened to me owning the drone for just a month. I’ve wanted to dip my toes in DJI’s version of the FPV drones but hesitated spending that much on something that I was probably going to crash. Saw the price for Best Buy’s refurbish option but got cold feet after reading some of the negative reviews. Some people were saying Best Buy wouldn’t let them return theirs or that things were missing.I spoke with Best Buy asking if they’d let me return it if it were missing original items and they said yes. So I pulled the trigger on this and am happy I did. It came in the original packaging and included all accessories packed just like it came from the factory. Mine had 3 charge cycles on the battery (after my own charge) so this this was brand new.Flew it last night and had a blast! It’s definitely a different animal.
