DJI on a budget!

Came packaged carefully with everything needed to use the goggles. As they are refurbished they had a small barely noticeable ding on them but were otherwise functionally perfect(I am only pointing this out in case that sort of thing would annoy you.) What a bargain for a very good set of HD goggles! After a little bit of firmware updating, I was paired with the O3 air unit on my quad and flying in glorious hd.

Everything is great unless you have friends.

Amazing picture yes, amazing penetration yes, but it's just like DJI to make everything just complicated enough to take the enjoyment out of it. Flying with others becomes more complicated because of the convoluted player/audience thing, why can't we just tune into a channel? Would that be so hard? Updates when you least expect them, the fact that your analogue friends will have their reception blown out, and of course, don't even try to fly around a race. It's a perfect solution for the solo pilot, or videographer. If flying with friends, it's obnoxious. I'll sell these to you when HDZERO finally figures their stuff out.

I’ve been waiting for the day and wondering why in the heck this wasn’t already possible in 2016 when I started flying. It just seemed like something that should have been possible and out there already back then. With that said the fitment of the goggles is absolute crap. I’m not sure who’s face they tested on but no one I’ve ever met or taken to said the goggles fit. They’re just an odd shape where theirs tons of gaps on the sides and the middle has a pressure point and the nose piece just is not even close to being done properly. I’m not sure how a company like FATSHARK got the fitment spot on for so many people but a massive more lifestyle oriented company like DJI who you’d expect to have even better fitment, totally drops the ball. Luckily 3D printers are a thing and/or there are 3rd party options to improve the fitment using shims at the sides and nose piece. Then in addition adding thicker, contoured, and better shaped foam pads to replace the stock pads and sit onto of the 3d printed shims. This makes the goggles useable, but they’re still not great, but definitely worth the compromise. I understand they’re heavier and larger than FATSHARKS so there’s no way they would be as comfortable, but IMO there’s no excuse for DJI to release 2 versions of this goggle with the same fitment issues. Upon some research I found out that DJI actually collaborated with and got feedback for fitment from hippos, elephants, and my 600 lb life tv show contestants.

Good still
24 July 2022

This my second pair since the release of the v2. Crispy clear compared to analog. Not good for true long range as it has a 13.1 km cutoff. Very clear video up to that distance though with clear line of sight and patch antennas.I do wish the goggle came with better foam and a better pouch or case and a cover for the eye area. The original strap I have never used ever. Nice that you can use for analog as well with the digi-adapter but it won't record the OSD for later review, The DJI googles with either the Vista or Air unit are excellent as long as you know the limitations of the system. I usually wait a year or so after a new system or google has been released to let the devs work things out and update firmware. The V2 are still worth it compared to other offers ... MoreThis my second pair since the release of the v2. Crispy clear compared to analog. Not good for true long range as it has a 13.1 km cutoff. Great value at the new price
22 August 2022

DJI fpv picture quality is amazing compared to analog and HDZero. These goggles are very nice and have a giant screen(can zoom out to make smaller). People complain about the external looks but I think they are fine. I had to replace the foam for a better fit. There is an analog input. Things to be aware of. No native HDMI out or input capabilities. There is an open source project for getting video out from the USB C

Hands down, The Best!!

I started off in the hobby with 03o's and those were pretty good. But once I knew I was gonna be in this hobby for a long time I decided to get me a pair of DJI goggles.Let me tell you that it is such a MAJOR UPGRADE i was in awe at how clear the image is in these goggles. It took me less than a minute to get comfortable and I felt so relaxed while going through trees and scraggle. As a matter of fact, I've never been more comfortable flying. Some things to note when buying a pair of DJI goggles is the foam doesn't fit anyone's head good and it is worth buying their upgraded comfort foam. This is a recent bug for both windows and Mac users but don't worry, after installing assistant and activating your goggles you can re-enable your anti-virus firmware and your computer will be safe. All in all this is by far THE BEST INVESTMANT YOU'LL EVER MAKE for your fpv enjoyment.

It was good ... until
12 July 2023

These goggles were part of the fpv combo I bought July 2022. After about a dozen flights my right screen started getting horizontal lines and proceeded to a black screen. I was careful to never expose them to sunlight , never dropped and never mishandled. Warranty is over and now I sit the flying season out with a 1400 dollar paperweight. I have several dji products and these have been the first things I have had trouble with.

Liftoff in a box
7 December 2021

There's not a whole lot more to be said about these V2 goggles. It's like playing Liftoff sim with a monitor tape to your face. It's so much easier to see where you are going. I've been flying in places I never would attempt with analog. It's a big investment but if you're in it for the long haul it's definitely worth it. The penetration is way better than analog and I get a lot more range. There's a decent selection of digital fpv cameras now that work with DJI.

Maybe v3 will be MUCH better...
9 April 2021

Picture is much more clear than analog but there are a lot of trade offs. These still have slight blurring around the edges even with adjustments at their best. With the susceptibility to direct sunlight that will 100% ruin the screens some type of prevention should be built-in. The seal around the goggles still lets in tons of light. Aftermarket seals are larger resulting in further distances from the eyes resulting in less viewing area. The velcro on the included strap is nearly worthless. It peels apart VERY easily. Seems like all the things that would make these goggles better are only available by buying more accessories. Genius.

The best all rounder
29 December 2022

Basically of you want the best all round goggle that just works get this. I had the V1's and these fit exactly the same. The aftermarket foam is a must and there are loads of antenna options also available. Currently flying the vista system and the new 03 air units on this and its fantastic, I do hope they sort out the rebinding issue when switching between the two systems soon with firmware. Also be sure to get a comfy strap when buying this goggle if you dont like the DJI stock strap type and shape
