The 02 with goggles 2 has less range than either the DJI v2 or the avatar (both with new antennas). The lens on the camera with 92 is a funhouse lens. That is it distorts the picture such that when yawing objects change shape and it looks like you are moving rapidly sideways when you are not. This distortion is apparent with the camera sitting on a table in a room as doorways, cabinets, tables appear to change shape as you rotate the camera. This clearly means that objects are distorted in any picture. Objects in the shade are darker than with v2 or avatar, so itās harder to make out those objects. Both 02 and the avatar are overheating in flight ( 100 deg F) but evaded fast forward flight with them clears the overheat.. Avatar is the smallest picture and I replaced the camera lens to reduce the camera FOV and enlarge objects.

Got Goggles V2, per recommendation of a body of mine who was sure they work with all drones. For sure with all DJI drones. Why wouldn't they?Well... they don't. According to DJI they work with the FPV series by DJI only. Definitely not compatible with my Mavic Air. If I don't find a solution, DJI is out the window for me. Never again...Anybody else with this problem?

With only limited previous experience pertaining to analog FPV systems, the DJI Goggles 2 were a breath of fresh air. The picture is incredible, clarity is exceptional, and the latency is nonexistent. The goggles were a breeze to set up, and I was up and flying in no time.Absolutely loving the FPV experience. I wouldnāt choose anything else when it comes to FPV goggles - pricey, but so worth it!Thanks, HeliDirect! Awesome service and support, as always!šš¼

Really awesome goggles the picture is so crisp! Great user interface! There are a few upgrades as far as the padding. But I found putting a little bit of extra material under the original padding at the bottom and carefully cutting out the nose foam gave me plenty of room for my wide nose. Quarter inch backer rod to fit and black or gray electrical tape. š
Man am I so glad I got the G2's. Today was my first day ripping with them and I gotta say I did notice an increase in picture quality on both the caddx and og au's. I do wear glasses and really enjoy the ipd adjusters. The fit was good. Minimal light leakage but I did order some iflight foam and will be checking that out tomorrow. For now I got no complaints but time will tell how well these hold up. Oh I do got one gripe. I did get some fogging at first but after a few mins it went away. Idk if there's a fan that kicks on or if it is just delayed longer than the v2's but it's not a big issue for now
Waited over 5 months to receivemy goggles. āTHAT IS SOME BSāNot on anybody but DJI!.That said I passed on the V2 and continued to LOVE my V1 DJI GOGGLES. I own a pair of Dominators and a pair of Dominator HDās. In my experience in the Hobby all goggles need to have some tweaking for fit. The DJI stuff is for folks with flatter faces. Get it good with 3d printed āshimsā on THINGI VERSE if you donāt 4d printYou need to. My goggles fit better than anything I have had before. Did it with shims + grey caulking + contact cement + cool foam pads from Rave day Quads.
As always Pyrodrone was great with communications. DJI really did poorly with their roll out of this goggle. The foam does not fit to my face. Therefore the optics were off. I wound up cutting foam away from the forehead portion to get them to set right so optics would work. The sides still let in lots of light.I will deal with that issue at some point later as I really just want to fly and just put up the hoodie. The Firmware updating was a pain.Other that that they are great!!
The screens (video displays) are as good as every reviewer/influencer has said.In my opinion, the operating software and user interface have not yet matured - and the changes to the interface from the GOGGLESV2 are unexplained (and not well documented). The strength of video transmitter/signal from the O3 air units is very impressive. Even with the original VISTA or DJI air units, the video signal is very very good. The fit of the googles2 is disappointing. Apparently no lessons observed/learned from the earlier generation of goggles. Aftermarket suppliers for battery wires and goggle-mask alternatives has not yet matured.
Pros: amazing video quality, intuitive interface and software (except the desktop sw...), feels high qualityCons: not very comfortable as-is, poor latency, not compatible with anything non-djiFor: people that don't mind spending extra $ for premium. Pilots wanting to cruise and explore. Can be used for freestyle but you will feel the latency if you're doing speedy stuff and going for tight gaps. Not for: as mentioned, speedy freestyle and definitely not for racers.
I haven't bought an O3 air unit yet. I've just been using these with my Vistas. Daaamn, dudes. The picture is so much more clearer and sharper than the old goggles. And i get OSD from Betaflight! I'm wondering if i should even get the o3, since the vistas already look awesome. And i can confirm that i fly further with these new goggles. Although i haven't personally tried, TrueRC says new hard limit is 30km with these goggles.
