These features make it easy to capture cinematic shots with minimal effort. Range: The Mavic 2 Pro has a range of up to 8 kilometers (5 miles), which is higher than most other consumer drones on the market. This allows you to fly the drone in areas that would be otherwise inaccessible. Cons: Price: The Mavic 2 Pro is more expensive than many other consumer drones on the market, which may be a barrier for some buyers. Size: While the Mavic 2 Pro is still a portable drone, it is larger and heavier than some other models, which may make it more difficult to transport and fly in certain situations. Overall, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro is an excellent drone for professional photographers and videographers who demand high-quality footage and advanced features. While it does have some limitations, such as its higher price and larger size, its exceptional camera quality, long flight time, and intelligent features make it one of the best consumer drones on the market.

One of the standout features of the drone is its stability in flight. Whether flying in winds or smooth conditions, the drone maintains a steady hover and is able to capture smooth, stable footage. If the winds are too strong I wouldn’t fly it. The stability is thanks to its advanced flight control system and powerful motors, which allow it to make quick adjustments to maintain its position. In addition to its stability, the Mavic Pro 2 is also very easy to control. The remote controller is well-designed and intuitive to use, and the accompanying smartphone app makes it easy to view live footage and access various settings. It only took me a day or so to get comfortable flying the Mavic and I was quickly able to capture some beautiful aerial footage. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase of any DJI product. It's a high-quality drone that is easy to control, stable in flight, and capable of capturing stunning aerial footage. If you're in the market for a drone, I would highly recommend considering any DJI product.

Purchased from Wex as a Christmas present to myself and this is my first foray into the drone market having been a hobby photographer for a number of years. First impressions - very compact in the way it folds up, very portable (don't forget to buy a memory card) and easy to use instructions to get flying. I would suggest that you set it up / install the phone app at home so that it updates quickly first time without wasting precious time / battery life in the field. In order to use the app you do need to set a legislation test so read up on that first. Geofencing etc can also be installed at the same time and the drone is pre-programmed not to fly above 120mtrs. (393ft). This can be over ridden but I wouldn't recomend it in the UK unless you want to feel the long ... MorePurchased from Wex as a Christmas present to myself and this is my first foray into the drone market having been a hobby photographer for a number of years. This can be over ridden but I wouldn't recomend it in the UK unless you want to feel the long arm of the law.The drone can be used in beginner mode to start off with and is ridiculously easy to fly. The controller works like a simple playstation / xbox controller with your smart phone connected to the bottom of it. A left hand button allows you to take video and a right hand button allows you to take photos. Obviously the photos are not up to my 5DMkIV standard from such a small camera but they are great quality none the less. I tend to use f4 and adjust levels / curves in photoshop (no sharpening needed). In terms of video - I use DLOG-M which appears to be the video version of RAW - you will need photoediting software to put the colour in. I use Powerdirector 365 but there are other programs such as Premier CS, Final Cut etc that can be used. The video / photo settings do take a bit of getting used to but there are plenty of Youtube videos to help. One word of warning - if the camera is tilted up too high then you do get the props in the video. If you're quite serious about using the drone then I would suggest you get the flymore combo as I did - I quite easily go through three batteries at a time and at £129 per battery this is the cheapest way to get more.Enjoy the attached photos

I purchased the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Drone/DJI RC for my nephew for his birthday to start his new business and he loves it! I tried ordering this drone from Amazon and the maker, and each time I would order, they would cancel the order a few days later. This went on for 10 days! I remembered that I have order from for B&H for my business and checked to see if I could order the drone from them. I ordered and it was received by my nephew within in 4 days! They worked with him to have everything transferred into his name. Thank you B&H for your great excellent customer service!
Known nothing about aerial photographic / video and was deciding between mavic air 2, mini 2 or mavic 2 pro. Watched a lot of videos on YouTube, have to admit I like the color of mavic 2 pro a lot. Although it is the oldest in the lineup, it is rather mature product with many firmware updates. Dji's attention to details and quality is shown. the gimbal cover now has thin layer of silicone to prevent scratching on the camera enclosure, an issue that was reported before. I also like the fact it has redundant IMUs, give additional assurance of reliability. aircraft is very stable in the air and not too hard to learn how to fly. It has rather intuitive controls. I like the Dji Go 4 that offers many options to tweak the gimbal, flight, camera and video controls. the 1-inch sensor produces beautiful details and quality. Photos and videos feel like coming out of DSLR. I can push low light to 1600, reminds me of Nikon D700's performance and quality. The camera and algorithm produce really natural and pleasing colors. Not yet mess with D-log but it has potential to get even more dynamic range and effect on video. The whole aircraft feels sturdy and high quality. Gimbal arms and camera enclosure are made of metal I think. The aircraft makes rather pleasing propeller sound, and I can barely hear it once in the air. The collision avoidance works, actually it is perhaps a better choice for new pilot like me just learning how to fly. There are also lots of pre-set fly modes and I am very excited to learn with kids together. Although the design is almost 3 years old since release, its built quality, proven reliability, excellent fly characteristics, toughness, picture / video results make this aircraft a worthy choice for long term use.
I have had these drones about 4 years, I have bought multiple version and they have, without exception, had some major issues. Fly always, motor failure (midflight), lost signal well within range (not behind objects) Ect. All met some sort of catastrophic end~! I thought maybe I was doing something wrong because they were so seemingly random, but after talking to other pilots they had the same issue. Don't bother getting the insurance... Its beyond a joke. Oh and side note.. you dont get Your drone back~! You get someone else crashed garbage, who knows what happened to the one your getting. They of course "inspect them" but if they are having problems on the new models I can only imagine what they are churning out at the repair Wearhouse. The ones I have got back in return have had small imperfections in the plastic clearly showing some major previous damage. Also don't expect your junk drone to come back any time soon... That's right a month wait at the quickest even with the expedited option $$ its weeks... I know people are having major problems with DJI but this Chinese company keeps scrubbing these negative reviews from the internet. Its funny how you can barely find a bad review and literally thousands of videos of fly always and random crashes (not owner caused). Bad reviews like this one are posted then immediately removed. Lets see how long this one stays. Also, don't bother trying to use your New Android device~! They only build for I phone and old Android phones. I have the S22 and you have to force load it from the web site. Would have been nice to know, but yet another example how big companies like this bend or break the rules and no one gives a crap, talk about false advertising.. There's no worse feeling then flying getting a great shot on your very expensive drone and watching it fall out of the sky or just fly away on its own. THANKS CRAP DJI~!Do your self a favor and buy a Parrot or Skyduo~!
The DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Standard Remote is an excellent combo. Likely rated for those looking for the larger Hassleblad 1" sensor and respective image/video quality which would be the higher end users but because of all the features - this quadcopter is easy enough to fly by a non-experienced pilot. It is always a good idea to gain experience in a simulator, a lesser cost drone, or via a "buddy setup". This is a feature I like and use frequently when training inexperienced users how to operate and fly it. This will require 2 controllers (you will need to purchase or borrow a second to bind as only 1 is included in the package), where one is the primary (instructor) and the other a secondary (student) and it uses the settings from the instructor controller. This will require 2 controllers (you will need to purchase or borrow a second to bind as only 1 is included in the package), where one is the primary (instructor) and the other a secondary (student) and it uses the settings from the instructor controller. I have been able to teach use this to expand others interest in these while also maintaining a safe flight as the instructor (where I can assume control at any point and over-ride the student's input). This has been invaluable in safely expanding awareness and interest as well as changing the mindset of anti-drone individuals. I had a great experience where I was negatively confronted about flying by two individuals in a remote park that allowed flying. I brought it in and landed, had a good discussion and offered to let them fly it as a student to experience it themselves. Their perspective changed when I intelligently discussed the product, it's features, how I use it and what I do to ensure safe operation. The Mavic 2 Pro has some major advancements over the previous Mavic Pro. The Mavic 2 is faster (45mph), a bit quieter and can fly further (although it's prudent to follow regional regulations - i.e. FAA sUAS regs to ensure safe operation). Obstacle sensing is now on all 6 sides with front and back collision avoidance technology, allowing the Mavic 2 to fly around obstacles and this works quite well. I have experienced a couple instances where it would halt and hover in place if it could not find an alternate route with no collisions. The good thing is that the obstacle avoidance sensors worked flawlessly. There are several intelligent flight modes as well as different camera shot features.Dual global navigation system (GPS and GLONASS) which allows for a greater # of satellites. The dual sat system is used to assist w/ precision flying, return to home, obstacle avoidance, waypoints, points of interest, etc..I am able to take still images at 20 megapixel and video to 4K with either 8 bit or 10 bit color, HDR, H.265 codec for higher image quality as well as many other features. It does have 8GB internal storage and will also accept a micro-sd card (u3) up to 128GB max. This will yield hours of recordable video and photos. The Mavic 2 is able to perform a variety of uses - all types of site surveying; 3D mapping of buildings/ structures; creating spectacular videos for marketing of hotels, resorts and homes; search and rescue; filming sports and commercials.Remote Controller Video Transmission is either 720p @ 30 fps or 1080p @ 30 fps.Flight time is one of the best in it's class at an estimated 31 minutes by DJI, I am seeing ~ 28 with wind and coming in with a safe battery voltage.
I love the DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone. If you are looking for high definition and high quality photos as a photographer this is a great product to get. If you are looking for a cheaper option the Mavic Air 2 might be a better option for you. I have a friend that uses the Mavic Air 2 and we use it for almost all the same purposes. The Pro just provides a farther distance, better range, and better resolution photos than the Air, but still the Air is a great product as well. The app used on your phone to connect to the controller to fly the drone can be a little confusing to maneuver at first. I highly recommend looking at videos that other people have made about rules to follow and strategies when flying the drone before you attempt your first flight. The app used on your phone to connect to the controller to fly the drone can be a little confusing to maneuver at first. I highly recommend looking at videos that other people have made about rules to follow and strategies when flying the drone before you attempt your first flight. The directions provided in the packaging are good, but the videos from actual users of the device really help to see how to actually use it. If you are in the US you also need to make sure you register it with the FAA before your first flight and register for whatever you are using the drone for.Overall great product! I have also bought the fly more kit in addition to this, so I could get the extra kit and battery packs for extra flying time. One thing to note, is the smart batteries will begin to discharge energy from the batteries if the batteries aren’t used for an extended period of time, so charging far in advance will be pointless. They do this so the batteries don’t age fast and provide the longest life the batteries can provide. The drone comes with internal storage that comes in handy if you don’t have an sd card or forgot it at home. However, if you are recording for a long duration you will most likely need to insert a micro-sd card or you will run out of storage if you are spending a long time recording. One thing to note is to make sure you are careful what micro-sd cards you buy for the device. The drone requires micro-sd cards that can transfer data extremely quick because the photos and videos that are being recorded are transferring so much data at once. So just research the types of micro-sd cards that are specifically compatible because the drone will tell you they are not compatible and you will waste some money that you don’t need to.
I upgraded from the Mavic 3 Classic to the Pro 3 for the extra lenses and their compression. It is quite impressive what the longer lenses do for your creativity - it literally opens new worlds. My only issues affecting my score are (again) the lack of reach with the RC controller, and the oversharpening of both videa and images straight out of the camera. Even shot in raw, the image is over-enhanced. I hope this will be fixed in a future firmware update. As for the RC's reach - I have trouble controlling the drone the minute it goes beyond a roof, out of line of sight, and when flying out over the sea to photograph ships for my work, the drone loses connectivity at 2500m, and becomes unflyable at 3000m - which is way worse than what dji claim the drone can reach. ... MoreI upgraded from the Mavic 3 Classic to the Pro 3 for the extra lenses and their compression. Both my Classic and the Pro 3 displayed this behaviour - I suspect the culprit is the RC controller, and the lack of external antennae. Overall though, the camera is the best I've used on a drone, the machine is solid in high winds, and flies beautifully.
I bought this drone as a gift for my boyfriend who absolutely loved it since he had been asking for it for some time. He flew it recording nature, using it for business shots for marketing and making cool videos when we went hiking through the woods or on vacation together. The blades are replaced easily and the insurance would definitely be recommended since you can crash it into something easily if you don’t steer it carefully. Overall tons of fun and I don’t regret spending the amount I did when this first was launched.
