The drone has an impressive stabilization, taking the drone to considerable heights (respecting the maximum altitude allowed) with wind, the gimbal of the camera does a great job, although I must mention that when using the 7x camera system it costs a little to keep the image completely stable, but this is completely understandable in the case of a telephoto lens of such a level. The image quality (4k60 on a 4/3 CMOS sensor) is definitely something that characterizes this drone and something important is that with the latest updates there is now the option to record in D-Log M in the three camera systems, as far as I understand it was previously only possible in 24mm and 70mm. This makes it possible to obtain very consistent sequences when it comes to editing and color grading. The drone has 8 sensors that allow it to dodge obstacles making the overall experience even safer but is very helpful in the tracking function.In terms of performance the autonomy is quite good, although on paper is more than 40 minutes, when flying can vary to more than 30 min about 40 min, it will depend on certain factors that much flight time we can get from the drone. It can be taken as an example that when the drone is flown in sport mode the battery can last half as long as in cinema mode, this is due to the fact that when the motors are taken to the maximum, the battery consumption increases. It is also important to consider that the system calculates the distance it takes to return to the takeoff point and the percentage of battery needed to carry out this action, always be aware of this but even so the control will inform when it is necessary to return and land the drone to the takeoff point.The DJI RC is a device that is very easy and comfortable to use, the battery lasts more than 3 hours, (enough to use to fly the 3 batteries of the drone), does not weigh much and has the option to install a strap to hang it from the neck (something I personally recommend). The controller has a pretty good signal range however when there is a bit of interference or obstacles like buildings or mountains it can lose signal easily, but in open field the signal is very consistent even when traveling long distances, I have not been able to put this to the limit but the shots I have gotten have been to my liking. Previously I flew the DJI Air 2s and having to place my phone on top of the controller to fly the drone was not one of my favorite things to do, but with this DJI RC it is the complete opposite, I am very pleased to know that it has a built in screen and will work with my drone as soon as I turne it on without any problems, very nice device.The truth is that I could go on talking about every detail and feature that make this DJI Mavic 3 Pro Fly More Combo drone a great option, but I think the pictures speak for themselves as well as the shared experience of others who like me find quality, fun and professionalism in this great product, definitely recommended.

Your results may vary. You also get a 3 battery charger, a filter pack for the lenses, multiple international plugs (though the charger just takes USB-C, so you can also use your own USB-C PD adapter to connect the charger especially if you're traveling. You also get extra propellers and extra sticks for the controller. Of course you get the controller and drone themselves as well and a soft case for all of it.I do wish there was a way to create a waypoint setup without the drone being on (maybe there is and I can't figure it out?) but that's a small thing that can be added in the future (hopefully...listening DJI??)One last thing - this drone DOES meet the new FAA standards by broadcasting it's identification. You DO have to register it (and take the safety test, which is quick) and the registration in the FAA's Drone Zone is $5 for 3 years. You then have to label your drone with the registration number (also easy). It's quick and easy and can ALL be done online, so do it!This is a great drone - so if you want to take your drone videos up to a 10 (or 12 out of 10), this is the one to get! Highly recommend!

Subject tracking is on-point: this easily follows my subject so I can still have a view of the drone for any surprise obstacles. (Don’t ask me how I’ve learned to be careful this way…).My file outputs are stunning—at 150 feet high, even with the main lens, I can see ground detail--- and this is not even using any optical zooms or the larger lenses. The option for 3 cameras is great, that I can shoot from very far, and the combined zoom (7x optical with 28X digital) captures details with less noise—even at windy dusk conditions. Of course, the switching among 3 cameras is easy with the on-screen buttons, so I have pretty hefty options with my shots. Even with just the main 24mm EFL lens, my 4K video at 60fps, gives me a lot of detail, I am so tempted to fly it above my roof to see traffic before I go out to drive— (unfortunately, I live at a controlled airspace area). Oh, and the 4K slow motion is buttery smooth.Battery life is decent—it is rated at 46 plus minutes flight time but I clocked a battery averaging at a little over 30 at full charge. Although it was very windy, so there could be some extra hover effort and the other time I was flying through obstructions, the on-drone radar detections could have affected the flight time. This fly more package comes with 2 extra batteries, so it’s easy to reload juice with each RTH. Plus, I love that it comes with intelligent multi-battery charging. At home, the connections are easy with USB-Cs on the drone and the RC for file transfers. It does connect to my phone as well, as other phone-focused drones, but this one has options to store files on the hardware.I think this is the best package considering the lens versatility, drone size, transmission range, and battery options. Any recreational or even professional videographer will be thrilled to have this in their arsenal. This is super recommended!

As a recreational UAS pilot, I have not even come close to approaching this distance, but the peace of mind is huge in the event of a fly-away situation or even if, down the road, I decide to start shooting commercially!Next, the Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing and APAS 5.0 system they have implemented in this drone gives me incredible peace of mind when navigating this drone through tight areas, obstacles, and even just out and about with unexpected obstacles that may come up during good ambient light hours. It even gives me the confidence to occasionally hand over the coveted RC controller to my relatives and friends who are so eager to try out flying the drone! With the obstacle sensing in place and the usual auto-take off and auto-land and return to home (RTH) features present here, this drone feels as safe to fly as it does incredibly fun and rewarding in the pictures and videos it captures. Just note, the obstacle avoidance features do not work at night in poor ambient light conditions, so fly with caution.Another aspect of safety with the drone is the ability to easily tap into the prop cameras on each rotor with a swipe of your fingers and navigate tight areas using them! This is an incredible feature and usable on the fly; I have it set to appear in the bottom left of my RC controller while I am flying!As for the RC controller, I really can’t stop singing its praise to my friends and family, much to their annoyance. This is an iteration of the DJI controllers that appears to be truly dialed in. The battery life is great, the built-in antennas are awesome and are much more aesthetically pleasing than external ones that flip into place, and the controller stays nice and cool with an easily visible screen even in hot weather and direct sunlight! I filmed in the middle of a field on an almost 90-degree day in direct sunlight and the controller never even struggled. The screen acts exactly like an android smartphone, even down to swiping from the top of the screen down to access WIFI and Bluetooth connection, etc.The onboard 8gb of storage built into the drone is very much appreciated. It is only enough storage for a few minutes of 4K 60FPS footage, but I am quite glad to have it there and it is incredibly easy to get to the images either wireless mobile transfer to your phone with the built in app connectivity, or with a USB-C cable hooked directly into the drone while turned on. Just note, you will need to format the internal storage in order to clear it for further recording or images, deleting it on the drone-computer folder view didn’t empty it.Overall, what is being offered in this fly more combo package with the Mavic 3 Pro drone is such a good deal that it should easily push any serious professional or recreational UAS enthusiast into overdrive, clambering over their keyboard to hit that “Add to Cart” button. As more and more reviews are coming forward on social media platforms and retail websites, it is clear that what DJI has put together with this Mavic 3 Pro is truly an astonishing piece of UAS artistry that is sure to stand up to the test of time! While it has pro-level features, it isn't too complicated for a beginner to understand or feel intimidated by. Here is a rundown of some of my favorite features of this updated flying machine from DJI.UnboxingThe drone kit comes with a very nice travel bag. All the pieces and parts are shipped inside the bag for added safety for the product. Several power cables are included for international compatibility. The power adapter and cables are packaged in a separate box along with the Mavic 3 Pro ND Filter Set. There are three battery packs for the drone (one is already installed). None of them are charged out of the box. There is quite a bit of unpackaing/unwrapping you have to do to get everything ready to go. Fortunately, though, there is no assembly required. I do recommend charging the batteries and making sure the firmware is up-to-date before taking the drone outside.Camera - Main & TeleI've always been impressed with the camera that DJI includes with their drones, but the Hasselblad main and the Medium tele cameras on the Mavic 3 Pro are exceptional. I love that I can capture pristine 4K video footage and pro-quality still images from the main camera. I am a photographer at heart and have spent a lot of time learning how to capture and edit photos so they look the best they possibly can. I don't have any problem with listing the Mavic 3 Pro as one of my pieces of professional video/photo equipment because I know clients will get high-quality images like they would get from my DSLR since the Hasselblad camera supports 12-bit RAW. It's a highly impressive camera system and it's almost too good to be true on a drone like this.Obstacle AvoidanceThis is probably my favorite feature. The drone is equipped with eight vision sensors that are designed to keep the unit safe while in flight. It works like a charm. The only issue you may have is with something like leaves where the sensors can still almost see through the object. This is an obstacle I've had issues with in the past and while the Mavic 3 Pro's omnidirectional obstacle sensors do a great job and are much improved from previous DJI drones, there is always the possibility of failure or mistake.Flight Time/Battery LifeWhen a battery pack has a full charge, users can expect approximately 43 minutes of flight time. I was able to achieve pretty close to that. I think the only reason I didn't hit that exact mark is because I didn't have a windless environment. The battery warnings from the controller were spot-on and provided me with enough time to land the drone.Transmission Distance/RemoteOne of the most impressive features on this drone was the transmission distance. DJI claims that DJI O3+ has a transmission distance of up to 15km. That's approximately 9 miles. While I tend to want to keep the drone with in eyesight, I did test this feature out and found the estimate to be fairly accurate. I aimed for a target that I know was at least 8 miles from my takeoff location and was able to still receive high-quality images on the monitor. This makes it very easy to judge obstacles and capture planned video/photo subjects even when you can't see where the drone is.In my opinion, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Drone is a game-changer in the world of aerial photography and videography. With its advanced camera capabilities, intelligent flight modes, and impressive range, it offers professional-grade results for both enthusiasts and professionals alike. Whether you are a filmmaker looking to add breathtaking aerial footage to your projects or an adventure-seeker wanting to document your travels from new heights, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Drone is undoubtedly a top choice. Even if you've had other DJI Mavic models, this is an exceptional upgrade to the past.

The ability to track a moving object is reasonable and can cope with the subject being obscured briefly (e.g. a tree branch) but does need to be a reasonable portion of the frame and not be moving on an erratic course (not surprisingly).If you don't get a separate battery dock, the battery can only be charged whilst installed in the drone.Overall, this is a good product so far, but a bit costly.

Combined with the accessories included in the Fly More Combo, this package strikes a wonderful balance of professional usage potential and return on investment for those looking to get into professional drone usage, or hobbyists that simply want one of the coolest devices on the market.Before I continue with my abundance of praise for the M3P, I'll start with the negatives just to get those out of the way. My main con with this drone is that changing camera lenses has an associated lag time. For example, when thinking of changing lenses on your phone, for example, it's a relatively seamless and quick experience; that's not quite the case here. Tapping the 3x or 7x buttons on the screen, it's actually unintuitive whether you actually hit the button correctly. Zooming/changing lenses takes a couple of seconds and there's no visual prompt to indicate you've indeed changed lenses before it actually changes. Another con I'll throw out there is that advertised flight time pretty well overshoots what my experience has been on a single battery; advertised flight time is around 43 minutes, and thus far I've been able to stretch a single battery to about 36 minutes, even in calm weather. Flying in windy conditions drops that closer to the half hour mark. Given the hardware and tech on board, DJI gets a pass for having less than stellar flight times on the Mavic 3 Pro. Finally, object avoidance (which I'll touch more on later in the review) is frankly pretty awesome, but it's no fool-proof. Smaller twigs on trees, for example, will likely cause problems if you get too close, and on one of my first flights, I had a VERY close call with the return to home functionality nearly flying the drone into a tree with aforementioned small branches (100 feet in the air, no less). So I'm putting this hear as a bit of a con because in many cases, the object avoidance is so good that it'll make you let your guard down a bit; just be mindful when you're flying that the object avoidance isn't perfect.With those cons out of the way, I'll discuss my favorite parts of this kit. I'd be remiss to not start with the camera system on the drone. This is what sold me on this particular unit, and having used the drone for the better part of a week at this point, they've COMPLETELY lived up to my expectation and hype. Each camera in this set gives you a wonderful functionality that simply cannot be replicated with single camera setups. The primary camera, a 4/3rds Hasselblad sensor, is likely one of the best cameras I have in my possession. The picture quality is nothing short of stunning, with amazing details and color capture that again rival my DSLR and dedicated 4k Camcorder. This cam essentially gives you the typical focal length of many other drone cams, but with the quality turned up to 11. In fact, this sensor is so good that I've started pulling out the drone to take pics while holding it in my hand; that's how desirable the images are for me. Secondly, the 7x camera here adds a focal length that's unbelievably utilitarian to the experience; punching in close to shots has never been all that easy with drones, requiring you to fly a long way to get close to subjects. Now, you've got that scene at your disposal with the press of a button without having to move the drone. This has opened up an entirely new set of scenarios for capturing footage for me; with other drones, I've been leery of getting too close to certain scenes due to "drone anxiety" and a generally negative connotation of drones in society. The 7x allows me to capture footage from afar, completely curtailing that type of situation. In terms of the actual footage, the picture quality is good, though when compared to the main cam, and the 3x, it's rather pedestrian looking. And speaking of the 3x, that's my star of the show on this drone. The focal length is perfect for capturing cinematic looking footage, both from a quality perspective (the picture quality is mind blowing), and also from a composition perspective, giving you the ability to have INSANE looking parallax/depth of field footage with very little effort. This camera in particular has blown my mind in multiple instances looking at the footage I've gotten from it. This feels like the ticket to getting professional footage from this drone; as amazing as all the lenses are, this one frames the scene in such a way that makes you record cinematic looking footage. None of this would matter a whole lot without format flexibility, though, and I'm happy to report that DJI has added D-Log M color profiles to all three cameras; it was previously not available on the 7x at launch. What this means is that for those who are looking to take their footage post production to the next level, you'll be able to capture footage and color grade after the fact in a totally consistent manner across all three sensors. This is honestly a huge feature upgrade to an already amazing drone camera system. This being said, the standard color profiles out of the box are also very good, and likely, any hobbyist out there would find them sufficient for their needs (I mostly shoot in the standard profiles to be honest). Pros will definitely appreciate the update, though.I'll touch on object avoidance here. Though I listed it as a bit of a con above, that's slightly negating the fact that the object avoidance in real world usage is VERY good. For the most part, the unit accurately identifies objects of concern in its vicinity, and it does this in a every single direction, which is amazing. I'll mention here another of the long list of recent software upgrades that has hit the Mavic 3 Pro to add additional functionality. DJI added the ability to actively view the object avoidance cameras in the lower left of the display, and the view automatically switches based on your flight direction. What this means is that if you're flying forward, you'll see the object avoidance cams from the front, if you're moving laterally left or right, you'll see the corresponding left or right avoidance cam feed, and so on. This adds an additional layer of peace of mind, allowing you a bit more surrounding context while you fly. Overall, the object avoidance is great, but as a flyer, you just need to keep in mind that you STILL need to be mindful of your drone's position in space and keep in mind that the object avoidance can still fail in certain scenarios.Besides object avoidance, some of the additional navigational aspects to the drone are incredibly useful, namely return to home, waypoints, and active track features. These features all take some of the complexity of 3 dimensional navigation out of the equation, allowing you to more easily fly and capture. The return to home feature, which has been around for a while, is still a great feature to have, giving additional peace of mind in cases where you lose contact with the drone. Waypoints functionality allows you to predefine repeatable flight paths for the drone, allowing you to "stage" scenes ahead of time. This works wonderfully, although it's not 100% precise on the path, but it's certainly within a reasonable margin of error. With this, just be careful if you're setting waypoints through a complex environment, like trees. There's no guarantee of a 100% consistent path repetition to the foot. Finally, active track is a feature I haven't used much yet, but the two times I have, I've been THOROUGHLY impressed with it. I've used it with the main and 3x cameras, and both have worked great. This gives you the ability to key in on a subject and sets the drone to maintain visibility (within reason) while continuing to navigate. Look so many other features here, this is one that gives you the next level "cinematic" type shots that can be otherwise difficult to get while manually flying until you're practiced a lot.Finally, I should mention the Fly More Combo with the RC Controller package here. In my opinion, this combo is an essential purchase for anyone getting a Mavic 3 Pro. The RC Controller is next level awesome, giving you flawless control over the drone at an insane distance without the need to fiddle with connecting your phone. You literally turn the drone and controller on, and you can be up and flying within 20 seconds; it's really that simple. And as mentioned, the range on this is insane. While you can opt for the RC Pro controller to get a more reliable connection at longer ranges, anyone not in an urban area with tons of interference likely won't see much of a boost from the Pro controller over this one. It has the distance to frankly put the drone out of visual line of sight, which is prohibited by the FAA anyways. Beyond the controller, this combo includes 2 extra batteries, 2 additional propeller sets, and a fast charging 100w USB C power brick, along with a 3 battery charging cradle. The batteries, in particular, are a HUGE upgrade here. As mentioned previously, I've been getting in the neighborhood of 30-36 minutes of flight time on a single battery; having 2 spares on hand at all times ensures my exploration or image capture won't be cut short because of a dead battery. The 3 battery charging cradle is great, but only charges a single battery at a time, but it seems to do this based on whatever the lowest charged battery is so it works well. Also included in this combo are the AWESOME carrying bag, which has room for all of this and feels quite protective and secure, as well as some additional lens filters, which enable more flexibility in terms of what the drone can take shots of.That rounds out my glowing review of the DJI M3Pro. If you can justify the cost, just go for it. You won't regret it.
