If you're in the market for a drone, I just wanted to let you know that the DJI Mini 3 Pro is one you don't want to miss. This little guy is amazing with its 4K camera and flight time. First off, let's talk about the camera. It's amazing. You can capture breathtaking footage in super high quality. With its size and weight it’s incredible what this can do. And in Canada you don’t need a licence to use this because of its weight. I am in love with it honestly. And I really like flying a drone now even though it can be a little scary sometimes. For the negative parts, I would say the obstacle avoidance is not the best, so you need to be careful.

DJI to me is pretty much the gold standard in drones.

This is the original DJI Mini and frankly I don't see any difference between this and the mini 2 and or mini SE, I supposed most of the difference is in the software. I had tried a couple other brands with stabilized gimbles and what i found to be the greatest feature is that the mini is easier to control when making very small inputs. Put it in Cine mode and you just can't screw up!!! Flight time is roughly 30 minuets and with that if there is a complaint I have it's that it does not come with an external battery charger. You put the flight battery into the aircraft to charge. I am a beginning drone user and this drone is extremely easy to operate. I was worried that I would crash it and break it, so I am pleased by the ease of use. There are two reasons it doesn't get five stars from me. The first, and this was something I suspected might be a problem, but couldn't find any clear statements about, is the dji fly app is not compatible with my Samsung, so I can use the drone only when my partner is around with his iPhone. The other reason, and this may be something we figure out over time, is the camera doesn't look down. I purchased the drone to survey a large bit of land recently purchased. The camera seems to look out over the horizon, instead of down to the ground. Great Seller Return To Home Not Effective

I had a test run with the dji mavic mini and it was my first time flying. I launched it from the fourth floor of my apartment and there were no winds. The drone unfortunately started moving towards the right side on its own as it kept going, I immediately pressed the return to home button as it took off on its own so that it would come back to me. Unfortunately it did not respond and kept swaying and flew away as I saw it going. The drone lost connection and eventually landed in a bush slightly far away from the apartment block. I tried tracking the find drone function by checking on the map but it wasnt accurate. I scouted the area and found it. Great a little drone for beginners

Purchased for occasional use, and as a beginners drone. Overall this drone is very easy to fly, but it also has it’s drawbacks, which are why the drone is less expensive. With the lack of obstacle avoidance you have to really be paying attention to where you are flying. I have to wear cheaters for most up close work, so trying to fly the mini from my Apple iPhone 11 Pro is a bit of a challenge. I ended up using some special safety glasses I have for the range that have the bifocal portion on the upper part of the lens, so when I look up to the sky for the drone I can see it, and when I look down at the screen the bifocals help me see the screen. In the summer we love using the drone to fly off the front of our boat and investigate areas near us for depth and debris that could potentially damage our boat. It helpful that I can land the drone right on my hand ifI need to.I could go on and on about all the neat features, but the bottom line is this. This is a great drone for beginners and it will provide enough experience to determine if you want to invest in larger, more sophisticated equipment. I also recommend to purchase this drone as the whole package because it comes with the extra batteries and storage case.

So many features that make it not only a great drone f o r someone starting out but a very useful piece of equipment when you don't want to take a larger, heavier drone with you. The DJI Mavic Mini also has a true three axis gimbal for the camera which is itself vibration-isolated in the body by rubber shock absorbers. This makes the captured video crystal clear. Other drone's in this price range lack 3 axis gimbals or have poor isolation between the body and the camera resulting in wavy video known as jello. And the DJI controller paradigm is vastly superior to most cheaper drones because the cheaper drones use wifi signals which are limited in range to a fewhundred yards and do not penetrate structures well. The Mavic Mini has excellent range and penetration making it less likely you will be in a situation where you cannot control the drone. It is a fact that it is HARD to crash a DJI drone. You have to make a series of mistakes in a precise and deliberate order to get past the safety features. The drone also makes breaking the law harder since it won't even take off in certain airspace or weather conditions. This might annoy some people. But it beats loosing a couple hundred dollars with a crash or a few thousand with an FAA fine! This drone falls squarely between the cheaper toy-grade and the much more expensive professional grade of drones. I would classify it as hobby grade, edging a bit into the professional grade in terms of camera quality. I attached a few photos taken by the drone and one of the drone itself in the included case.
