With my phone (Nexus 6), the bluetooth function will not function at all and the wireless connection works providing the phone is in airplane mode with bluetooth off and wifi on. The process of switching things off and starting things up in the correct order is more of a process than you would think. I have also found the switching the osmo from video to photo kills the connection and the mimo app has to be restarted. Had I known this from the outset, I would not have dropped $59 on this device. At the moment , its value to me is about $15.

Very easy to use. Although you have to turn both Bluetooth and wifi on your mobile phone to make it work. Bluetooth to identify the device and wifi to connect to the wireless module. Maybe there's a way to just connect with bluetooth, but still unsuccessful. Mobile phone: pixel 2xl Once connected, you can have so many angle shot from it. Moving the gimbal from your phone is also seamless. You can choose between 2.4ghz or 5ghz connection. Haven't tried the 2.4 yet, but the 5ghz has limited distance which might caused delays and lags. Planning to use it to strap it to backpack or a chest-strap so distance wouldn't be an issue for me. Definitely a good addition to your osmo pocket accessories.

Great add-on that makes using Osmo Pocket a LOT simpler. Without the hassle of cables or having the Osmo Pocket directly attached to my phone, this base was simple to set up and makes the Pocket more useful and flexible.

the wireless module is helpful if you wish to operate alongside your phone without a physical connection. It also doubles as a useful stand. The negative side is that it covers one of the microphones on the unit but this has not been a concern for me....as yet! If you are using the accessory mount, this will work with that, so there are possibilities and options, depending on how you use the osmo pocket - not for everyone but handy for the toolbox
This little guy works very well! It makes charging the Osmo Pocket a lot easier. It props up the Osmo when you don't want to hold it during recording.

The Bluetooth wireless connection works great for reviewing your video clips on your Smart Phone that are stored on the memory card in the Osmo Pocket. It will also be beneficial when setting up the unit for time lapse video recordings.However, the only reason I gave it four stars out of five stars is the price of the unit. I believe that $20-$25 would of been a much more reasonable price point for this unit for what it is. It is a small piece of light plastic with a small amount of electronic components included in this plastic wireless module.In the end, I believe DJI could of included this unit with the Osmo Pocket. This little gadget is great for when you have the Osmo Extension rod or if you want to record some footage/timelapse while watching the recording on your phone. Always connects to the phone blazing fast and have yet to have any issues.The only downside is there is no tripod attachment on this wireless module. It would've been super cool to have.
A friend of mine once said that the pocket OSMO was what the original OSMO Pro should have been. It’s sort of true- but it should have come with this module built in too!That being said- this gives you so much more versatility- being able to control the camera directly from your phone.If you are interested in getting the most from your pocket OSMO, this will be a great addition.
Initially planned to use lightning male to female extension cable to connect my phone to the Osmo Pocket, which works, but the cable always seems to be in the way (as cables tend to be).The Wireless Module works perfectly as described and I had no issues connecting it to the OP. I really like that it can serve as a stand and you can recharge at the same time you are using it. Its very compact, lightweight and doesnt add bulk. I wanted to use several wireless modules at one time, each controlled by a diifferent iPhone/iPad. One at a time works fine, with a bit of a delay with the image display. When I have two operating at the same time, with two iPhones, the delay gets annoying .. unusable in some circumstances. With 3operating simultaneously with three iPhones they are essentially unusable. My work around is to use one iPhone to operate three pockets .. but I must take the time to change WiFi frequencies every time I want to control a different wireless module. I gave it a high rating because it does what it was advertised to do.
