A Clumping Litter Good for Kittens

I foster orphan kittens, loose stools are not uncommon, and they can't have regular clumping litter because they can ingest it when cleaning themselves and it's clay. Some don;t like pine. This clumps, but should they ingest it, it dissolves (I tested it with water) and should not cause the same issues clay does. Smells a bit like coffee, that's a good thing, and my older cats liked it also. Lightweight too. Will definitely keep around for the little ones.

I have 3 cats and usually use a corn based clumping litter. The coffee scent of this litter intrigued me, and I have a notorious dust tracker (orange cat, of course haha), so wanted to see how this might be for less dust. The shape of the litter pellets is different. The cats didn't seem to mind, and all readily used it while boxes with their old litter were still available. It's definitely less dust. The coffee scent is very discreet, not really too noticeable. The litter does also seem to be better with odor control. The only negatives are that the pellets didn't sift as easily with my particular scooper, and it doesn't clump quite as well. The clumps are kind of gummy and stick to the box a little.Overall, a good product. The cats accepted it well, and there ... MoreI have 3 cats and usually use a corn based clumping litter. Coffee litter?

This was definitely a different experience compared to average clay based litter. The "sent" itself was not a typical smell for a cat box, but by far not pungent. We have multiple cats so we did leave 1 cat box with the former litter while changing the 2nd box to this new "coffee" litter. The cats were hesitant at 1st, but within 24 hours had used it. They have only urinated in this new litter to this point (4 days), while using the clay based litter for their #2.

Don’t waste your time or money
11 October 2024

I had high hopes for this kitty litter. I’m always looking to try new things, but this product was a big disappointment. On the plus side, this product has little to no dust. Unfortunately, it has zero clumping capabilities, is hardly absorbent and left a huge mess. On top of that, the grains don’t work well for traditional scoopers because they are rice shaped. I swapped this product out for my tidy cats weighing 24 hours.

Great idea but our cat disliked it
7 October 2024

I love the idea of this litter but it flopped in durability. We have multiple cats at our sanctuary so we used this product with our personal pet cat who uses the litter box solo. That gave us a better idea of how it stood up to basic usage and we could see if the cat liked using it or not. We have used all types of cat litter including ones that looked and felt similar to this kind. However this did have a softer less sharp texture surely making it more comfortable to step on for the kitties. Regardless of this, our cat did not like stepping on it and refused to cover her “business”. This became a problem fast and the litter, unfortunately, didn’t last very long with us. If your cat is used to using pelleted litter they may just like this so I encourage others to ... MoreI love the idea of this litter but it flopped in durability. Great kitty litter

I love this litter Dofu Cat. I found this by accident, but it was definitely luck. Very little to no dust, when pouring the litter, also clumps very well. I nice the smell. Definitely recommend, anyone looking for a reliable and effective cat litter option!

Learning to love it
30 September 2024

Was looking for an alternative to the classic litter and stumbled upon this! My cats didn’t love it at first, but after I mixed it with their old litter they seem fine with it now! The coffee sent is pretty nice and I think we will all learn to love it. Definitely love the dust free aspect! Would recommend.

Really cool litter
18 October 2024

I wanted to try it out and see how my cats would react to this litter instead of their usual and I am impressed with how it performed. My cats didn’t even hesitate to use it. It clumped well and didn’t stick to our cat’s paws. The tracking is also pretty minimal. Since it was also coffee I fully prepared myself for a strong scent, but to my surprise, it was pleasantly tolerable. I might even say it is less fragrant than some of the other brands of tofu cat litter we have tried out before, but this is what makes it more pleasant for our cats. They usually don’t like fragrant litters and the Dofu Coffee and Bean litter was just right for them to instantly be attracted to their new fresh bed of litter.

Testing Out Litter Box Changes
11 October 2024

I used this in my cat's primary litter box, changing from a product I have used for years. I was hoping for a larger amount but dealt with what was offered. The pieces looked more like long grains of rice as opposed to my cat's normal litter. Supposedly flavored with coffee, I never noticed in the odor of coffee or any significant change in the box smell. The clumping was interesting as it did not clump as well as what I am used to. YES, it clumped but did not hold together as well as our regular brand. The solid waste did not stick to it at all so that was good when scooping as I did not lose a lot each scoop. My cat did not seem to notice a difference which was my concern. Would I buy this again? Possibly. IF it came in far larger offerings and was priced ... MoreI used this in my cat's primary litter box, changing from a product I have used for years. IF it came in far larger offerings and was priced competitively, I would certainly consider it for at least one more bag and for a longer period of time.

Wonderful, but too small of a bag
14 October 2024

I have been wanting to try a coffee based cat litter for QUITE some time. I have three cats, and the traditional clay litter always gets to my asthma. This litter was a little different, as it's pellet shaped. It is much lower dust; but still dust, and does have a sort of saw dust scent, but! It does not bother me near enough. The cats took a minute to investigate, but they seem to like it!It DOES clump, maybe not as tightly, but it is fast acting. My only real complaint; which is why it is four stars instead of three, is the price point and fact I couldn't find a larger bag. Otherwise, the product itself is wonder, and definitely something I would like to use in the future!I think for a smaller cat household, it is definitely worth the buy.
