After conversing for a while, and talking about the good times you used to have together you realize that they've changed, the spark of companionship the two of you used to share is no longer there. It comes on with strong juicy sweet and fruity/citrus brightness. Mid notes are mostly lavender, which lends a softness and touch of sophistication with some herbal spiciness from the sage and pepper before the lavender mingles well with tobacco for the basenotes with some woodiness as well. Some people like sillage bombs and in comparison to the original, this UK version is noticeably subdued. But don't mistake that for meaning poor longevit, still has good lasting power 6-7h and still projects for the first 2 hours at an arm length ... just not “as”strongly like the OG.

I received a sample of Dulce Gabbana Pour Homme. I made my husband try it. I didn't care for it. He thought it was just ok. It's got a woodsy, tobacco, leathery smell. I'm not to fond of the tobacco, leathery musk smell. To me it smells cheap. I probably would not be ok if he wore this a lot. This is very thick. The design of the bottle is pretty cool. Just not for my senses.

The opening of this fragrance is a citrus dominated accord with neroli not falling far behind. As it dries down the citruses fade to give way to lavender, tobacco, and cedar as the most prominent notes of the dry down. Performance is respectable even on very hot days when it becomes a skin scent at about the 4-5 hour mark. Sillage is strong for the first hour or two. Great every day scent if you enjoy soapie/clean fragrances. Would recommend if you can grab it from discounters under $40-$50.

But I can assure you, purchasing Dolce & Gabbana's Pour Homme is for men will not be a mistake. When I wear the fragrance, I always receive compliments - even from complete strangers. And unlike so many other competitors on the market, Dolce & Gabbana's fragrance lasts a very long time. You will not have to re-apply after a couple of hours. That says a lot about the quality of this product.

I never had much need to use cologne as I rarely "went out on the town," and as a computer IT guy, why use it just for the office. However, I tried a sample as I was walking through the Men's section of a Belks department store and ended up buying it on the spot. For years I would add a little cologne after my morning shower, and no one ever said anything about how it smelled. And, then one morning as I was having breakfast out at a local restaurant, a long-time waitress friend of mine said something to the effect that, "you always smell so good." It surprised me that anyone had noticed, but I filed this positive comment away.

I purchased this due to the super reviews and extremely good price point. However, I've been let down by the longevity of the scent. Firstly, I love the scent! I think it's incredible and it's really grown on me. Is it my favourite? It's not. But it's easy top 5! BUT I purchase a reasonable amount of smellies and they always seem to last a year-ish. I've had this bottle (100ml) for around 5 weeks and I'm more than half way through it for the following reasons: 1. It's not strong so you need to use a little more. 2. The scent doesn't last. Am I disappointed? Yes, a little! Would I purchase again? I would splash the cash on the Parfum edition. As the title says, false economy. It is cheaper but you'll go through a-lot more of it!

Tester is legit....but not as seen in the photo

I've been duped by the whole photo bait-and-switch before, and this was no exception. Expected the old-capped made in Germany version as seen in the picture, but recieved the new-capped made in France one instead. Not that big of a deal since I've tested all of the new versions and they're pretty much identical, but it never feels good to receive something different than what's expected. If it had been the Italian stickered version in the pic, I would've made sure to confirm before ordering. You'd be surprised just how many other sites still try to pull that stunt on their customers. Always confirm if it looks too good to be true!! As for the scent, it's about as 90s-laundry-fresh as you can get. Sweet lavender washing powder sums it up.

Wonderful Scent!

This is the fragrance that I have used for the longest time. I loved it immediately when I smelled it in the 1990's and I used it since then. The previous bottle was bought in 1998 and I used that bottle for more than 20 years. It is a pity that its formula was changed and when I smelled the new version in November 2022 I was somehow disappointed. However, after using the new version for several weeks, I get used to it and I now apply it primarily as a sleep scent. After taking the bath, I use the refreshing body gel and before I go to bed, I spray the perfume over my bed. My sleep condition has been somehow improved probably due to the lavender ingredient. I highly recommend this perfume.
