I’ve used these cans of pineapple in a lot of my baking recipes over the years. One of my favourites I’ve made was these Hummingbird cupcakes. They have crushed pineapple, mashed banana, flaked coconut cinnamon in them. Then the icing is cream cheese frosting with dried pineapple flowers on top! These cans of crushed pineapple are perfect to add to drinks too! I’ve made piña coladas with it before in a blender with coconut cream rum. The pineapple is sweet flavourful with lots of extra juice in the can.

I really like using Dole Crushed Pineapple when making my upside down pineapple cake. I just add brown sugar and melted butter to one can. Spread evenly in a greased baking and add a box of prepared white cake mix on top, bake as directed. An easy and delicious dessert.

Getting fresh pineapple is difficult if one doesn't live in Hawaii. The next best option for me is canned Dole pineapple. Depending on how I would consume the pineapple, my options are Dole canned slices, chunk pieces or crushed. I love using the Dole canned crushed pineapple during the holidays to incorporate into my holiday cooking. The pineapple is sweet and juicy. Just the right texture and ripeness. Love using the dole canned crush pineapples in my candied yams recipe. Adds lots of flavor! Family loves it! my candied yams would not be complete without Dole canned crushed pineapples!

This is so good. I prefer dole to store brands- there really is a taste difference For very little cost difference. I stock up when there’s a sale. There’s no sugar added because it’s not needed- it’s perfectly sweet. I eat the pineapples then use the leftover pineapple juice for a cocktail!

Badly damaged cans

I ordered four cans of Dole crushed pineapple. Every can was badly dented! Did you pick out those particular cans to have delivered to me knowing that a shopper in the store would never choose something so badly damaged? I am truly disappointed with your service in this matter!

Good for smoothies

I would recommend this for smoothies or recipes where you plan to put this thru a blender. It contains a lot of core -which you should eat and is good for health. Without blending it, it will have too many hard pieces. So, good for recipes that require it blended, but not great if you just want to eat it as pineapple right out of the can. Pineapple is very good for healing after cuts and surgery, and it has many health benefits. So, do add this to your smoothies, but don't store it in the metal can. Once you open the metal can it will immediately start to oxidize and rust. This is a thing with pineapple (because of their acidic properties), and sometimes there will be a little rust in the can even when you just open it. For me, though, I prefer to buy pineapple juice in a bottle and add it to smoothies and buy fresh pineapple or freshly cut non-canned to eat as fruit. This will do, though, if you need canned. Dole is a good brand.

Great pineapple…..FIX THE CAN

Yes the can was dented!!! It was a little dent and I needed pineapple to go with my cottage cheese! I was not excited because I had never used Dole because it is the best but more expensive. I opened it and tasted and oh my gosh, it’s the best!!! I was not expecting that taste that fresh pineapple taste. I had to really hurry and serve myself and put it in a container and into the frig. I looked forward to having it again for breakfast along with boiled eggs. I will buy this again and again. Get those cans iced because I hate people to use this great product because of bad delivery or poor planning in constructing the right can.

NOT A HAPPY CUSTMORE!!!

I purchased 8 can of crushed Pineapple and 4 of the can are damaged. Not real happy with Wal Mart. They just through the can in a box and just rolled the brown paper in a wad , then put it into the box sealed it and shipped it. If they were packed right from the begin their would be no problem. They need to watch their packing department. This is not the first time this has happened to us.

Dried and stuck to carton so not a new break.Pineapple can, entire front of can is dented in, not a small dent it goes from top to bottom and it still made its way into the bag!?I stopped ordering produce after seeing the worst looking shriveled green peppers while I was in the store the other day and that is what I stopped in for. Not one good one on the shelf. Those peppers were weeks past their prime and somehow they were on the shelf.I love using the pickup option and use it often. However, when I continue to have to go back to the store to replace an item I may as well not use the app anymore.I can’t in good faith refund a whole dozen eggs for one broken one.
