very convenient for a quick meal and the size is great for batch cooking. I have used this in a lasagna in the past but it's a fairly flexible sauce. can use for other things than for Bolognese or just to do with an emergency paster. especially with the chunks of mushroom, works nicely it is a bit on the bland side. but you just adjusted the seasoning according to taste. I personally like a touch of chilli or black pepper.

The “Family Size” jars are now smaller in size (675g) instead of 750g that it used to be. But they still charge the same price hoping that the customer wouldn’t notice. Make it make sense. Usually I don’t leave reviews but this is absolute daylight robbery and cannot be ignored. Stop taking your customers for fools. Enough is enough!

love this pasta sauce by Dolmio it is very tangy and tastes lovely with pasta and a bit of cheese. Great for the kids as it has 95% vegetables and the subtle onions are perfect and really bring the dish together. I'm glad after all these years Dolmio have not altered the flavour like many companies do. The family sized jar is perfect for a family of 6 in my estimation as I used half the jar for 3 people and it was perfect.

I really like that Dolmio now do family sized jars. These easily make 6 good size portions. The smooth rich tomato sauce is a hit with the grandchildren as does not contain any chunky bits and does not contain anything artificial. Very easy and quick to make a perfect flavoursome spaghetti bolognaise.
I bought this mushroom bolognaise sauce for a little switcheroo. I usually buy a garlic and onion one and add the veg to it. But decided on getting the mushroom one because as much as I like mushrooms, I can't use a whole boxful in one bolognaise. So the excess always goes slimey and to waste. With this guy I had some mushrooms in my sauce and no nuisance ones left in the fridge! Winner
Nice sauce, it's a bit more chunky than the plain bolognese. Not that many mushrooms though, I've still added some fresh ones. It has a lower tomato content. I think I will stick with plain bolognese in the future and just add veg to it. It's easy and convenient and helps make a quick meal. Good to have in the cupboard for busy days. It tastes nice, kids liked it, although it is a bit pricey.
I had some friends over for dinner, thinking I would have plenty of time to get it ready, I ran out of time! I had a jar of Dolmio original in the cupboard. Fried off the meatballs and onions and garlic tomato paste etc Added a couple of tbsp of mushroom ketchup to the meat sauce for 30 mins. Really quick and tasty food. Always keep a jar in cupboard now. Well done Dolmio!
Although you can make your own pasta sauce, for a quick, really easy and very tasty meal you can't get better than dolmio. I find it superior to supermarket own brand sauces which can be a bit acidic. We use it with either beef, pork or chicken mince (whichever we have in) and often add in some grated or chopped veg so the kids get some of their 5 a day. Always have a jar in the cupboard for a quick last minute meal.
This is a lovely smooth thick rich tomato sauce which enhances the flavour of beef mince perfectly. It is great for fussy eaters with no chunky bits. Nothing artificial added either. I used it to make a bolognaise sauce for a lasagne but would have been just as good on it's own as very tasty. Dolmio jar sauces have nice long best before dates to keep in cupboard for quick meals.
Very nice bolognese sauce, great for making a quick meal with or without meat. It's easy and convenient, with a high tomato content. I like to have some in the cupboard on days when I'm short on time and can quickly make pasta with sauce. I usually add fried onion to it and some herbs to boost the flavour. The only downside is that it's on the expensive side compared with supermarkets' own brands.
