This was my first time trying Downy Odor Protect - but it won’t be my last. This product gives you the same great April Fresh Downy scent when your clothes come out of the dryer. However, this version of Downy seems to re-release it’s scent throughout the day when you agitate the fabric. It’s like your clothes are fresh from the laundry continuously throughout the day. I can’t comment on how it holds up to exercise - as I didn’t exercise - but I’ll update the review when I do. By far the best fabric softener I’ve ever used. I’ve used downy products before but this was my first time trying the odor protect line and I’m so impressed. The April fresh scent smells so fresh and flowery and great and my clothes are super soft. Clothes coming out of the drier smell so good. I am a dedicated snuggle user but the Downy Odor Protect states it is designed for active wear. I have difficulty getting odors out of our dog bed covers and my husband's wprk clothes so i figured this is worth a shot. i did one load of "stinky" clothes and let me tell you- they smell brand new! there is no trace of any odor left and they smell fresh plus they're super soft. i probably would not use this on any of my normal laundry because i believe the scent would be too strong plus i have sensitive skin. It's amazing how the sweat and wet dog smell is totally gone! i will be rewashing those items again with this deodorizer. definitely recommend if you have similar issues! My first time trying Downy Odor Protect Fabric softener on my husband and I sweaty workout clothes. I am sold after just 2 loads, I usually have to prewash to soak his bike shirts and then wash them again to get the smell out. With Downy Odor protect we tried just one wash and no residual odors. Then he came home the next day after his ride and he smelled as fresh as the moment I took them out of the wash. The April Fresh scent is strong but not overpowering which he liked and so did I. Definitely did what it was intended for. I will be buying this product again and look forward to checking out different scents.
