I absolutely love everything about the Dr Bonner Lavender Castile Soap! I love the strong lavender scent, i love the rich lather and clean rinsing. I use it for laundry, foaming hand soap refill, body wash and shampoo (it really cleans - strips - your hair!). I use it to clean everything in my bathroom. I give my dogs baths with it. It's absolutely the most versatile product I've found, since vinegar. It's miraculous! I bought the 3 gallon pack and I think even with everything I use it for, that amount will last me about 6 months. I would be spending so much more on individual products over that period of time, and they wouldn't smell as nice, work as well, or be as healthy to use.

I love Castile soap,it is a clean option for so many different things. I’ve used this soap as toothpaste, face wash, shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent. I’ve also cleaned wood and ceramic floors,as well as wiping counters and miscellaneous things. I chose to use Dr. bronzers for babies when it comes to my kids because it’s just not sensitive enough for little ones skin. 10/10 always recommend this product. It does burn your eyes like most soap will. If you choose to use on your hair,it cleans your hair so much that your hair will feel different. Your hair will need to detox the other products and will look and feel greasy for about one week!

✨Tips and Tricks ✨ These are some relatively unknown tips and tricks about this product! I use this product as a makeup remover and it is honestly the best makeup remover I've ever tried. The brand also markets this as an 18-in-one product, and it can be used to wash dishes and clothes as well! Ever since I've become independent and moved into my own place, I have spent some time looking into and researching different types of household products and soaps. This is because I was incentivized to look into buying new products since I couldn't use the ones my parents bought anymore! I started using Dr. Bronner products about 3 years ago and I've never looked back. The great thing is that, even though they are extremely expensive up front, they last a long time! This ... This bottle that I've pictured is actually from when I first moved out three years ago! ✨Improving Value for Money✨ I suggest buying the largest product you can find, because the unit price per milliliter is much less expensive! The largest product that I can find is that 32 oz product, and that's the one that I purchased 3 years ago that is still lasting me to this day in September 2022! I even have about 1/8 of the bottle remaining. A small amount goes a very long way, and this lathers like crazy. I mainly use this soap for hand washing clothes and as my body wash. ✨Skin and Body Care✨ I believe that the surfactants are a bit too harsh for the face, so I avoid using it on my face except for removing makeup when needed. I will only use this product to remove makeup when I'm wearing a lot of makeup and I can't get it off with a normal cleanser because this soap is so dang strong! So basically, this is a great makeup remover but I wouldn't recommend using it as a daily face cleanser because it is stripping. Scents are very personal, but I am biased towards lavender. If you love lavender as well, I'd love if you share your thoughts in the comments in the photo attached! Lavender lovers unite! 🥰 If you stayed to read this far, thank you so much!

Mosquitos. The dratted creatures love me and I would get hundreds of bites every summer. One summer, I got bitten 300 times on a camping trip in Minnesota. I found eucalyptus sprays that worked to keep mosquitos off of me, but the odors were often far too strong, felt greasy on my skin, or had other ingredients I didn’t trust.I learned lavender helps deter mosquitos and would buy lavender body sprays. They worked – I didn’t get bitten as often – but they were usually blended with other scents or had ingredients I didn’t like or trust. Like with the eucalyptus soap, the sprays that worked were hard to find. Then I found Dr. Bronners. After reading the ingredients, I gave it a try. I ordered two of the smallest bottles (one eucalyptus and one lavender) to try out. When I used them, I hardly got any mosquito bites. The next year I ordered two larger bottles and spend a summer almost completely bite free.I also discovered that I could pour a little bit in a small dish and set it on the patio to help keep the mosquitos away when the family sat outside together. I used to use those ‘yard guard’ sprays but hated the smell. Now I just pour a blend of eucalyptus and lavender soaps in little dishes as a perimeter around the patio. Sometimes you can actually spot a mosquito trying to find its way through the scent barrier. Naturally a few get through, but the difference is amazing and it smells so much better than any of the commercial yard sprays.
The best soap I’ve ever used, hands down. It’s in every soap dispenser in my house (except the kitchen, where I use Citrus). Who needs body wash when you have Dr. Bronner’s lavender soap? I also use it for handwashing “delicates.” The fragrance is heavenly, and it (and other Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap) doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin or cause my eczema to flare up. I’ve used Dr. B’s for 30+ years and have never wanted to even try anything else.
I’m reluctant to write this because the Hemp/lavender Castile soap is my absolute favorite and I want it all for myself! I shower every evening with this and the aroma fills my bedroom. It’s delightful and makes me relax. Even my dog likes to lay nearby when I shower! My neighbor uses it on her floors and her house smells amazing. This is my absolute most favorite soap! I’m so glad I went to Dr Bronners website, as it was becoming hard to find in the stores and on Amazon.
I always seek out the highest standards in my skin care products, especially since our skin is the human body’s largest organ. Dr. Bronner’s liquid castile soap meets those highest of standards! I have been using the almond castile liquid soap in my foaming handsoap dispensers and frankly, the scent is like aroma therapy. (I sometimes wash my hands just for the aroma therapy. 🙂). This product has so many practical uses that I now buy it in bulk for savings.
This is what lavender soap should smell like, actual lavender. This is not that fake, sickly sweet lavender scent. Most guys wouldn't think of buying a lavender soap. But this lavender is a natural, almost spicy scent. I switch between the peppermint and lavender depending on my mood. I keep them both on hand at all times.
I was scared buying this scent because I heard it smelled medicinal and was so strong that it was sickening. I took the plunge and tried it myself, and found out it has such a lovely aromatic scent. I truly believe washing my face with this helped me get over my cold because it cleared my sinuses gently. Showering with it is even more amazing because it fills the bathroom up with the floral scent. If I didn't have a high efficiency washing machine I would use it to wash clothes too, since it has such a great smell. As for the soap itself, I love Dr Bronner's soaps! They're natural, they don't leave a film on you, and they're like aromatherapy.
The fragrance in storebought shampoos and soaps makes my eczema worse. I couldn't find any shampoos without fragrance, so I tried using Dr Bronner's Castile soap as shampoo. What a nightmare. My hair was so coated in waxy gunk that it took about 36 hours to sort of dry, though still covered in gunk that hadn't rinsed out. All the oils got trapped in my scalp, and my hair got really disgusting after about four days (normally I wash my hair once a week). So I washed my hair with free and clear dish soap, and a gallon container of white vinegar that I took into the shower. Then my hair was clean. I also tried to use Dr Bronmer's as hand soap, but the pump kept clogging up. I then went to the kitchen to make a diluted batch of Dr Bronner's Castile soap, and after it ... I also tried to use Dr Bronmer's as hand soap, but the pump kept clogging up. I then went to the kitchen to make a diluted batch of Dr Bronner's Castile soap, and after it cooled, I poured it into the hand soap pump bottle. Some of the diluted soap went down my garbage disposal, and I was wondering why it left a white residue on the black rubber flaps over the garbage disposal. I suppose it is the glycerine. That diluted soap left a waxy gunk on my hands every time that I washed, so that I began to avoid washing my hands. Finally, I dumped that diluted soap down the drain, and filled my handsoap container with free and clear dishsoap. And today, I used Dr Bronner's liquid Castile sugar soap to wash my underarms, and found myself having to apply hydrocortisone cream because of the irritation. I think it's the glycerine. The cheap lavender non-glycerine bar soap that most stores carry does not irritate my skin. I give Dr Bronner's three stars, for trying to make a difference with beautiful natural products. But I just cannot use glycerin products for any kind of cleaning. I don't understand why my experience is so different from all the other people who wrote reviews here.
