Dr. Bronners Castile soap is my go-to for almost everything. I swear by this plant-based oil soap. The tea tree variation is not my absolute favorite one, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still LOVE it! The bottle has a bunch of crazy writing all over it, sure to keep you busy… shower after shower. I swapped shaving cream for Castile soap it was the best switch ever. Highly recommend !! Did I mention it’s organic?

Since I was introduced to this body wash 4 years ago by a friend, I'm yet to switch to anything else. I absolutely love the smell and I also use all the other scents. This is especially my favorite. I love how calming and soft it makes my skin. I have suffered with dry skin for many years until I found this soap. It isn't the most affordable but I get them on sale.

I really like Dr Bronners’ products, they are amazing and super clean - which is what I look for in products. They also last FOREVER. And you can use them for multiple uses. And I really do like this shave gel, it’s not super thick where it gets stuck in your razor. The only reason I give this a 3/5 stars is because I wish they have better packaging for their products. As soon as you dip the bottle over even slightly, the product comes rushing out and it doesn’t make for a nice and relaxing shower time. It feels rushed so that’s where the experience of the product gets cut down for me. And for a company that supports a ‘no waste’ and eco friendly lifestyle, I feel like their product packaging does the opposite.
I like this shaving soap! It's pretty light though so if my facial hair were any thicker I wouldn't recommend it, but I have moderate facial hair and it works fine. The biggest downside is the dispensing method. I really really really wish this product came in a pump bottle. It's so thin and runny that you have to be sooo careful when you open and close it and squeezing it out is a little tricky since it trickles all over the opening. A little messy but not terrible, more of an inconvenience that doesn't make me love reaching for it, but it's better than other shaving products packed with artificial everything.
i went back to a safety razor, brush and mug several years ago and would not dream of using disposable razors ever again. I have bee using an Italian shaving soap i really liked for years but I thought I would give yours a try. WOW! this stuff is like coating your face with Teflon. I am now getting the smoothest shaves I ever have. It only takes about a third of a teaspoon for a shave so a tube will last me a long time. Excellent product!
As a shave lotion/soap, it has a pleasant fragrance and protects well resulting in good quality shaving.But I have two frustrations. The first is that the product is very thin, like water. This makes it hard to manage. I feel like I lose half of it every time I use it. Second, the tube is entirely the wrong delivery container. Trying to get the product out results in it running all over the top, and very poor portion control. It should be more viscous and come in a dispenser that allows easier portion control. I’ve shaved like 6-8 times with it and thectube is already 3/4,empty, with the majority of the product being lost down the drain.
I was a shaving cream user for decades, for shaving the legs. Then, I switched to Dr. Bonner's Organic Shaving Soap. The shave is smooooooooth and the razor rash is severely decreased. It smells great, feels great going on, and leaves the skin feeling moisturized and healthy. Love it.
As noted in other reviews on this site, I’m a longtime fan of Dr Bronner castile soaps. And now that I’ve recently taken up wet shaving, I thought it’d be nice to try out the Dr Bronner’s product.While it’s a perfectly fine and enjoyable soap, I don’t find it suitable for wet shaving. It’s a thin liquid that doesn’t readily build to a thick lather the way one would expect with a traditional shaving soap or creme. Using only the Dr Bronner’s, I did not feel my face was adequately protected against my DE razor. I had to supplement it with another, more traditional shaving soap.I would recommend this product as a shaving prep, to clean and rinse your face before applying a traditional shaving soap (like Proraso or Cella).
Just used it for the first time. I wasn't expecting it to be so similar in consistency to the castile soap (which I've used daily since the early 1980s). I'll have to get used to it since it seems a concentrated at the soap, so a little likely goes a long way.I'm always impressed by Dr. Bronner products and have used the castile soap for everything from shaving, antiseptic, mouthwash, clothes wash, deodorant to toothpaste.
