The Dr Brown’s Options - the first convertible bottle that can be used with or without the green vent system. Giving parents the power of choice! The unique internal green vent system continues to create 100% vacuum free feeding, which is clinically proven to help reduce wind related colic. This is what makes 9 out of 10 Healthcare Professionals recommend Dr Brown’s for the relief of wind related colic. As baby becomes more developed the bottle can be used without the green vent system to work more like a conventional, teat-vented bottle. The new Dr Brown’s scalloped designed teat allows air to vent through bottle when green vent system is not used for when baby’s feeding it developed or parents just want the convenience of a teat vented bottle - Two vent options, one proven bottle. The unique Dr Brown’s internal vent eliminates the vacuum and air bubbles in the feed, so helping reduce colic and burping. Without the vent, Options provides a feeding experience similar to most teat-vented bottles. This teat venting creates a controlled flow, offering babies an easy and convenient way to feed at their own pace.

We absolutely love these bottles! I will say that ever baby is different and ever parent is different when it comes to preference. You just gotta find out what works best for you in the end. We are first time parents and we received them as a gift and I’m glad we did. They were about $13/14 for a 3 pack. We ended up buying more in the long run. I feel like they are easy to clean and assemble. Although some may say that they are difficult to wash or formula/ breast milk gets stuck in the blue tube or where ever it may be, we actually have had no issues so far, however we do wash our bottles out with hot water or just water right after use if we happen to be out of the house running errands and we don’t let the bottle sit with formula or breastmilk in them after a ... But I’m sure if that did/does happen a good soak and cleaning would clear it up. The white part on the top of the blue tube inside does come off to access to clean inside the tube as well as a small brush was included in our package to help clean better which we have used. I could see how some may think there are a lot of parts to this bottle but we started off using these as the first bottles our son ever used so maybe we got use to them quickly? We did try other bottles after these like the NUK and Avent and nothing compared to them. Our son ultimately stuck with these and we are still using them currently. I would recommend to anyone!

I have three children; my older two are ages 8 and 7. I used another bottle brand with the older ones and they worked great. So when I found out I was pregnant with my third child about a year ago and had to start all over with baby items, that brand was the one I naturally turned to since it worked so well for me in the past. So I was prepped with that brand and my cousin, who had a ton of Dr. Brown's bottles since she had twins had sent me all of her extras. They sat in a bag. My youngest son was born in August and I used the other brand of bottles. But he fussed so much. On a whim, we decided to try one of the Dr. Brown's bottles....and could not believe the night and day difference. They have worked SO well in combination with the sensitive formula to handle his gassiness. He's such a happy baby and it makes me happy to know how I was able to help him. Yes, there are a lot of parts that can be tedious to clean. And they really need to be cleaned after every use...and soon after use. Let them sit for a while and the smell of old formula or breastmilk will seep in and stay, and the bottles themselves may turn a yellowish tint. So it's something you really need to stay on top of. Even so, I can't complain about it. Even with all its little parts and nooks and crannies you really need to get into, I can't knock off even a star for something that really helped my baby be able to eat without experiencing painful gas.

My baby had some gas and reflux issue starting week 3 so we purchased the Dr. Brown bottles. These bottles came with the premie and no.1 size nipple. Our nurse recommended that we use the premie nipples but we find that the flow was way too slow that the baby got tired after drinking very little and ended up consuming much less volume of milk than he previously have had with the Avent Natural. We ended up using the no.1 but the flow was still very slow compared to Avent Natural and baby's consumption went down each feed and each feed takes twice as long and we also had to feed him more frequently. These bottles did help with the gas/ reflux issue. We were on and off these Dr. Brown bottles since the gas/reflux issue was somewhat resolved. Now that baby is around 8 ... Now that baby is around 8 weeks old, he is starting to notice the difference between Dr. Brown nipple and Avent Natural nipple, and he clearly likes the Avent more. The Avent ones are much softer. In terms of leaking, I find that if you tighten the bottle very very well, it will have zero leak. In terms of cleaning, yes, there are lots of parts but I don't find it very cumbersome once you get the hang of it

I had originally hoped to breastfeed exclusively, however because my son was born almost 6 weeks early, I was told I needed to fortify his breastmilk with special formula after he finally came home from the NICU. This meant I had to first pump my breastmilk, then mix in some formula use a bottle to feed it to him. At first we tried Avent bottles, but quickly realized that those seemed to contribute to the already long list of things that upset his premature tummy. We tried everything: gas drops (before, after mixed into the bottle), feeding him sitting up keeping him upright for at least 30 mins afterwards (this was especially difficult at night), tummy massages, cutting back on the harsh formula that contained so many extra nutrients minerals ... we even tried ... We tried everything: gas drops (before, after mixed into the bottle), feeding him sitting up keeping him upright for at least 30 mins afterwards (this was especially difficult at night), tummy massages, cutting back on the harsh formula that contained so many extra nutrients minerals ... we even tried mixing THAT formula with a gentler kind then adding it to my breastmilk. Still, my son would scream cry after every feeding. It broke my heart! Finally, another preemie mom told me to try Dr. Brown bottles so I bought them right away had them shipped same day. Immediately there was a noticeable difference. My son still has some issues since his poor little digestive system has to work so hard, but at least now I don't dread every feeding. I would highly recommend these bottles to anyone, especially those with a premature baby or a baby with a sensitive stomach.
I received this product as a gift for my baby shower and my baby boy still use these bottles. I like the bottles minus the small narrow nipples. So I purchase their other bottles with the wide nipples and I & my baby love it. Overall I love using Drbrown bottles and been using their bottles since my first childyears ago. Other than that I have not had any other issues with their bottles.
I got this Narrow bottle glass that I use from DR. BROWNS in which I really love. Let me start with the bottle itself is a bit heavy because it is glass but but but I love that Dr. Browns come up with a glass bottle since i dont have to worry about the effects of plastic to our baby. I love that they made exactly like the plastic ones they have and it is so great since my baby is colicky plus he got a reflux so dr. browns glass bottle is a big help for us. I would gladly recommend this product to all the moms and this is what every moms should use because plastic is never safe for the baby especially if its heated up who knows what are the contents in that olastic that may be harmful to our little ones. My baby and I have been using Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Options+ Anti Colic 8oz Bottle for about a week now. Being a mom to 14 children I have used a lot of bottles and I was very impressed on this bottle. This bottle does not leak and my baby doesn't get a lot of air. I also like that you can use with or without the vent. The nipples are very secure in ring compared to other bottles I have used. My baby took this bottle so much better compared to similar bottles. I'm sure they're ok for babies who actually take bottles regularly but didn't find them particularly helpful for getting our bottle resistant baby keen on them. We've tried out loads of bottles and our baby doesn't really take to any of them well, including these ones. Lots of people had suggested them as they're supposed to promote the "correct" latch. We were able to get him to take maybe 30ml which is more than we've managed previously but it may have just been through our persistence. And similar to Medela bottles they sometimes leak a bit which wasn't helpful.
Using for both breastmilk and formula. Originally, I bought them just so I could screw the collar/nipple onto Similac 2oz nursette bottles. That was very convenient when first home from the hospital and we were cleared to stop using the sterile single use Similac nipples. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. These bottles leak SO badly. So, if you like your baby being covered in breastmilk or formula every time you feed them, these are great. If not…try something else (having much better luck with Mam). 3 stars because my baby does latch well onto the nipple and we have been able to use them with the nursettes.
Those bottles are the most frustrating bottles. Not only with you have 6 pieces per bottle to wash every day but they leak so bad.As a momma that is an under supplier I cherish every drop of breast milk. It's heart breaking watching it just pour out of the bottle while feeding.I have tried everything. Tightening the lid like Hercules and then barely tightening. Holding the bottle horizontal. Warming the milk separately and not in the bottle. Nothing helps. For the small fortune you will spend do so on bottles, do t waste your money on these.
