Probably the most famous silhouette from Dr. Martens is the 1460 boot. The 1460 is Dr Martens' original boot and is built to last. In addition to the characteristic 8 eyelet lacing, the boot is equipped with a grooved Air Cushion sole on the side and a heel loop. Thanks to the simple design, the boot is perfect for everyday wear.

My Doc Martens are out of this world, it was like putting a pair of British histories on your feet. The craftsmanship that goes into these Northampton-based shoes is outstanding, by far the best quality shoes I have. I’m proud to wear on my feet. The Doc Martens vintage made in England are pure quality And I couldn’t think of a better shoe, I’d rather have on my foot. The boots, even have the choice of wearing them in to the shape of your foot and are looking forward to this and wearing them on your feet and moulding to the shape of your feet, for the rest of your life . This is the purchase I will last you for a lifetime.

I was looking so forward to getting these boots and w/ the sale price!!! I wuz really feelin 🤡awfully good about me! BUT OMG 😲 when I put them on? Ughhh! they made me look like I was wearing big clown 🤡 shoes and I got my usual size (8) never had a problem till NOW! I was so disappointed so I returned them -- thank goodness it's so easy post office or UPS . Now I'm waiting for this other pair that I'm loving so we'll see what happens when they arrive? Usually I don't have any issues with DM boots and I have 6 pairs including sandals only shoe I will put on my feet. As far as I'm concerned these are the best boots I've ever owned and I've been wearing them for about 35yrs. DM's are a huge part of my life and I LOVE 'em and there worth every cent 😍❤️!!!

Wow is all I can say. Had a pair of high leg DMs for my 15th birthday back in the early 70s. Joined the army and always wore combat boots ever since. Hankered after a pair of DMs for some years now and when I saw that you can get a pair made in England, well, I had to buy.Lovely boot, and in my opinion worth the extra money just to know they are made in England. Excellent fit and I love wearing them. If I had the money, would I buy another pair as a spare?. Absolutely!!!!

Love these boots! Great colour and great to wear with anything. Able to wear straight out of the box with no problems. Will soften up in time. I wear a size 6 and would say they are quite generously sized. Able to wear with thicker Dr Marten socks. This is my third pair of Made in Englands. I have lots of other Dr Marten boots, shoes and sandals but the Made in Englands are so worth the extra cost for the quality. Also bought the yellow and brown laces to change it up a bit.
Always wanted to get a pair of Made in England 1460, so happy to get one. Boots Look good but otherwise it’s too early for me to comment if this is significantly better than a Columbia or Osprey boots. But one thing that truly disappointed me is the in store experience. I visited the Oxford street store twice and and the first day my experience was, ‘You aren’t welcome here’ approach! Zero oomph, ‘whatever’ attitude! These guys should understand we still come to a store because of the human interaction and to get a bad experience. The sales people on the second day were much warm and helpful.
I will be 62 years old this February. I have worn Dr Martens shoes and boots ( and even sandals ) since I was a young teenager in the 1970's. Although I have had / and still own many pairs of imported DM's, I still gravitate to the Made In England versions. I have witnessed many fashion trends come and go, in music, clothing and footwear but Dr Martens have always remained the coolest of all ( and that includes all the other apparel and accessories ). There is just something so very unique about them. My latest acquisitions are a lovely pair of Oxblood "Made In England" 1460's in the beautiful, legendary Quilon leather. Yes, they still take a wee bit of time and patience ( as well as a tad of discomfort ) to break in properly, and yet this is a huge part of the whole experience ( a thoroughbred stallion only becomes your horse when the respect has been earned ) The colour, the iconic yellow stitching, the build quality, the longevity are inimitable .. and the " coolness " of being a staunch DM lifetime owner is something which never leaves us. I may be old these days but at least my feet are still proper cool !
Love these, I already have 1460’s in black patent and leopard print so the cherry red is a welcome addition to my collection,I find 1460’s instantly comfy, and don’t need to break them in, i managed to get years of use from my black patent ones around 5-7 years! - I kinda ripped the surface of them on wire (during a craft project ) amazing value for money - no other footwear could offer this longevity especially when worn daily. Pretty much indestructible and guaranteed style and comfort for years - cost is initially high, but for the value and quality it’s worth it.Thank you for my boots I will love and appreciate them for years to come.
It took me two years to finally grow a pair and purchase these boots. My fifth pair. My first were 14 Hole black in '87, 10 Hole Oxblood in '88, 3 Hole Oxblood in '90 and 8 Hole black greasy leather in '98. These Made In England boots are beautiful! Quality is noticed immediately of the rigid, thick leather. I added store-bought inserts for added arch support and cushioning. I have narrow feet and these boots are tight width-wise. I wear a US M10.5 and ordered US 11. Fits fine. Used Wonder Balsam a few times during break-in. Going on a weeks worth of wear; coming along proper. The ONLY way to break in new Docs is to lace 'em up and wear them!
I knew that it would be difficult to break these in, I was expecting that, but I loved the look so I decided to go for it anyway. However, one thing I noticed straight from trying them on was that there was a really hard and uncomfortable seam and the bottom of the tongue, which is making them really difficult to wear even to break it because it literally bruises my foot. It just feels like something that could be avoidable, as this seam is covered in all my other shoes. Honestly, for the price this was quite disappointing and also concerning as this isn’t the discomfort I expected frombreaking them in, so it’s unclear whether this will actually improve or not.
Back in 1991, I bought my first pair, which were 8 hole oxblood, back when all Docs were made in England. I also had 10 hole black steel and 14 oxblood steel back in the day. Definitely wanted to make sure my most recent pair was made in the UK. At first, I wavered on buying these as the design is a little different than my first pair of 8 hole oxbloods: these new ones feature white stitching, brown base around the yellow stitch, and no black leather top at the top of the boot. However, I’ve found these to be really nice looking, anyway. They’ve grown on me. (I also bought black laces rather than the red ones that came with to make them look more like my first pair and since people back in the 90’s era scene all know what red laces mean.)
