It’s been awhile since I’ve owned a pair of Docs. I saw these in the store and fell in love all over again. Unfortunately they were out of stock, so I had to order them. The pebbled leather is soft like butter! Immediately comfortable; no breaking in. The flat laces stay tied all day. No joke. I usually wear a size 8. Ordered a 7 and they are perfect. These boots are awesome!

I work in a coffee stand and bought these after slipping and falling during a heavy rain. I have had zero slipping issues, they broke in like a dream, and these are now my most comfortable work shoes. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing these until they're literally coming apart at the seams. They do run a little big for women at least, I usually wear a 7 and I bought a 6 and they fit perfectly. Do yourself a favor and just buy them.

The leather is a bit softer and has a bit of grain to it. I like the brass eyelets. Ive been wearing Docs since the 80's.These are my favorite!
I can’t really rate the boot itself yet because I have yet to wear them, however, I can tell you they are comfy after trying on and I can tell they are of good quality. I knocked some stars off because the online buying experience is a hassle. You’d think for a shoe company that sells decently priced products they would have better return/exchange policies. I am a new mom so my feet are 1/2 size larger than pre-pregnancy. I was a 6.5-7 before and now I’m a 7.5, so, I ordered a size 7 based on other reviews that they run large. Large is an understatement. The 7’s looked like clown shoes on me. So I thought, no big deal I’ll just exchange them for a size down (they don’t make 1/2 sizes???). The leather has a really nice feeling and they’re as comfortable as any other pair of docs. But one thing that’s worth mentioning is that they’re oddly hard to take off. The leather is raw on the inside so it really grips your socks making them a bit tricky to remove without undoing a few laces.

Leather was very thin. Offered no support just floppy. Shape was nothing like the human foot so fit was bizarre. Tight and narrow at the sides, loose at the heel which rubbed and bulbous toe box.Not like the DMs I wore in the mid-90’s which were comfortable and supportive and I wore every day for 2 years! Such a shame.
these fit my narrow size 13 feet SO much better than my classic 1461 shoes (which i wear with an extra insole and a tongue pad.) the ambassador leather only took a few hours ofvwear and one application of leather honey to break in fully. only downside: super sticky laces which that require any adjustment of tightness to be done eye by eye up the boot from the issue. i’m hoping that the hiking boot laces i’m replacing them with fix this.
these are my 6th pair of docs and they’re by far the comfiest pair i’ve ever owned. took literally no breaking in because of the soft leather. wore thick socks for the first week or so but didn’t do anything differently. i picked these specifically for the matt look and brassy eyelets and i love them. i originally wanted the vegan 1460’s because of the gold eyelets but they were insanely uncomfy, so very glad i found these!
