I saw these boots one day in the store and another customer got to the box before I did. I saw her try them on and I was hoping she would put them back on the shelf but she didn’t :( Needless to say I had to have them after seeing how cute they looked in person. So i ordered them online. I’m usually a size 6.5 but bought a 6 since someone suggested sizing down a half size. The pebbled looking leather is very soft. The boots themselves are very comfortable and required no breaking in period. I worked them for 8 hours straight the first time and no blisters or pain. I love the black on black color scheme!!! Very very happy with my purchase!

Beautifully made - the quality is outstanding!Lovely soft leather.Great fit- apart from the band across the top of the foot at the bottom of the laces!I don't have a high arch - but it is soooo tight that it's painful!But the rest of the boot is so nice that I couldn't bring myself to send them back!I'm persevering with the stretching and the wearing - hoping it will improve!That's the only reason that they're not 5 star.After reading quite a few of the reviews, I can see that this is mentioned a lot!C'mon Dr Martens - take notice!I purposely bought the soft leather to avoid having to 'break them in' - so it's a little bit annoying!

I love these!It's actually my second pair, I bought my first one through a local reseller that no longer carries thee brand and unfortunately they only had the number lower to what I should be using (it would be what I usually wear with lighter shoes, but I advise anyone buying these to go a number higher for more confort). Still, they lasted me four good years, and enough to say I won't be wearing other footwear (save for summer).I'm pleasantly surprised with how fast these came through mail, and looking forward to many more years of confortable walking and saving my ankles from twisting. Also, awesome style that will never come out of fashion 😎

I've worn these boots indoors, several hours at a time, for a few weeks since receiving them. They were relatively comfortable from the very beginning but I would not recommend wearing them out for a full day without breaking them in first. I have a large forefoot and narrow ankles, so for me, there were initially hotspots around the forefoot. As Dr Martens fit large, I went a full size down from what I would wear with Nike brand running shoes (from US W8 to US W7). They're quite slimming at the ankles because there is no taping around the ankle like the original 1460 boot.I cannot speak to the durability of the boots as I have yet to wear them outside.
Bought the 1460 Pascal Virginia Leather Boots for my wife’s 45th birthday.She’s never owned a pair of Dr Martens but had recently expressed interest in getting a pair. Don’t know if she was dropping hints or not, but I’m taking full credit for remembering anyway.Went with these classic boots, as cool as some of the other styles look, I thought I’d better play it safe.The quality is fantastic and my wife loves them - I’ve been told I did very well.They were comfy from the first time she put them on. The leather to the top half of each boot is so soft, yet they look like they will last a long time, and fit snuggly around the ankle.They go great with my wife’s style of clothing - tight jeans, boot cut jeans, cargo pants etc.
My first pair of Doc Martens, I'd heard they're really hard to break in or super uncomfortable at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. They don't come in half sizes, so I ordered 8 instead of my usual 8.5 in footwear, but they feel okay. It'll take some time to really make them feel like mine, but they don't feel awful either! I might manually stretch out the toebox on my right foot a bit using the water/freezer method, but aside from that they don't need much tweaking other than regular use. They seem like they're super good quality, I feel like they'll last for years. The black monochrome look is really nice, they look really nice.
For someone who grew up wearing Dr.Martins buying these boots was not just about style and quality, but also about reliving memories from 26 years ago. This model is very soft and super comfortable leather. I have been wearing them for 2 weeks now and absolutely no discomfort. Dressed then up for office party and wore casual to the dog park.I usually wear size 6US or 36 European size. This boot is marked as 6US, but 37 European, therefore fits slightly larger. However, going a whole size smaller might not be such a good idea. This way I can still put thicker sock on or have a slight space in case foot swelling after long wear.

Felt so uncomfortably painful.... don't think it was meant to.So I did some research and a lot of reviews do say they are hard to break in and you must be prepared. But these seemed to tight on the in step for me to do that. So I returned them and got a 1/2 size bigger which they do!OMG. I love them . My foot just slotted in, I felt tightness but not being in pain ! So maybe just needed that extra room in the instep made the difference! I've worn them twice and once to break in the house. So glad that these come in the blue velvet color, because our local Dillard's didn't carry that color in-store. In fact, our local Dillard's doesn't get in half the amazing shoes that I can find online so I typically have to order them and have them sent to the local store to avoid shipping costs. But at any rate, these boots look absolutely more fabulous in person! The blue is a rich, vibrant color and I love that they came ...
