They are beautiful boots and I’m partial to the Virginia leather in Docs because it’s so soft with no break in necessary. I was pleasantly surprised to see these are a muted soft white, and not bright white. I love these but they do run small. I’m an 8.5 and the 9 is short. I don’t want to pay to return and exchange so I’ll just deal with it but it would be awesome if free exchanges were available. I’ll just order from Zappos or somewhere that offers free returns in the future.

First of all, I own and love three pairs of Dr. Marten boots. The white seem to be trending so I wanted those. I originally got the smooth leather, and it was too stiff, and tight across the instep. So I tried the Virginia Leather. Softer material, the eyelets are white ,not black, and there's not the black piping around the top like the smooth leather. If they had been comfortable, I'd keep them. But they too were too tight across the instep, even though they fit front to back. I regret that I had to return them both.

I’m a huge fan of the pascals and this year I decided to get myself a pair in white. I get so many compliments on them. I did swap out the white laces for black ones because I felt like these looked too much like skates but they are so gorgeous, the leather is soft, they are matte and so comfortable. A beautiful timeless classic.

Took me a little while to break them in.. had to wear them with thick socks in doors and walk outside for short distances for a bit.. the upper part where the stitching is, digs into the upper part of my foot on one shoe only.. My in step is a bit high so that could be the reason.. but now, I can wear them with no issues! The fact that the leather is soft really helped! I wouldn’t risk getting the other smooth leather.. I’m a small 5 or a 4.5 but went for a 5 and it was the right choice, I still have a bit of extra room in front but it’s better than being too tight👍🏼
Ordered my usual sizing a 6.5 in docs, I don't have wide feet, but I could just about get these on. Once on, they were very tight across the front of my feet. Absolutely gutted because i loved them! Tried a bigger size but still didn't fit.I returned and ordered the smooth leather unisex boots.I was told you need to wear them in but I have been wearing docs since I was 15 this is not the case with these boots the fit is totally different due to the style of boot (I did abit of Googling)
Love my new White DM’s! I had a pair when I was a black pair when I was a young teenager and now these have taken me back! I instantly feel youthful like a free spirit! They make any outfit look cool any edgy. The leather is lovely and soft and the sole so supportive. I wore them round the house first to break them in. They are a little tight at the moment across the top of my foot but I’m sure they will soon break In considering how much I love wearing them!I also treated myself to some green laces to make them pop and for a different look. DM’s are still great fun!
I’ve been wearing doc Martens for many many years now I’m going to be 60 X birthday. I ride a motorcycle and I have a white helmet and a white jacket therefore I had to have the white boots. The only thing I have to complain about is they are a little tight around the widest part of my foot but in time I suppose the weather will stretch that’s the best part about leather it stretches. I think this must be my10th pair of doc martens. Obviously I like them…
I had initially bought the Bex smooth leather Docs (right picture) but even though I loved the extra height I had to return them as the leather was too stiff. I ended up getting the pascal Docs (left picture for comparison) and I love them so much better and they’re more comfortable. They run narrow so I had to break them in around the house for two weeks before taking them to the streets, true to size though. Other than that quality and style at its best 👌
First impression when I took them out of the box was they are just so soft. The leather is really supple and not stiff at all. A plus if you don't wear them every day to break them in; they pretty much arrive broken in. The part that was a bit off for me is the throat is just ever so slightly too small, so after long hours of wear I can feel it cutting into the top of my foot, and thick socks are right out. Make that throat 1/4"-5/8" bigger and they will be PERFECT. I was thinking that perhaps a bigger size would solve the issue but I doubt it, the length is fine and my toes have plenty of room, just needs a little more girth. Overall I would definitely recommend these, very well made and nice looking, I get lots of compliments when I wear them.
the shop assistants at Oxford street was very nice in helping me find the right pair! Would go to them for my next pair of docs. The shoes themselves were great, goes with most casual wear. The arches were extremely tight which may take some time to break into, and the heals rubs against my ankles a bit- but overall looks great! The craftsmanship looks sturdy. Although I’d say it’s a bit expensive but overall it’s an item worth praises!
