Brilliant - but.......

Beautifully made - the quality is outstanding!Lovely soft leather.Great fit- apart from the band across the top of the foot at the bottom of the laces!I don't have a high arch - but it is soooo tight that it's painful!But the rest of the boot is so nice that I couldn't bring myself to send them back!I'm persevering with the stretching and the wearing - hoping it will improve!That's the only reason that they're not 5 star.After reading quite a few of the reviews, I can see that this is mentioned a lot!C'mon Dr Martens - take notice!I purposely bought the soft leather to avoid having to 'break them in' - so it's a little bit annoying!

Comfortable!

Way more comfortable than I thought they'd be. I have never had a pair of Docs in my life, and I've been wanting some since I was in Jr. High. (since the late '90s!) I'm 40 now, and I can afford to invest in quality footwear now, so I splurged... and I'm so glad I did! These have faux fur on the inside, all the way up to the top. I will wear these with socks until the top has formed to my legs and feet, though, they fit PERFECTLY. I always wear a US size 9, and the size 9 fits exactly right. No squished toes, no rubbing. The toe box is awesomely roomy. These feel like they will last for a while, though, I found myself buying another pair in the classic oxfords, which are ALSO amazing. Comfy and warm.

Just WOW! These are my first ever pair of DM boots and didn’t want the hassle of breaking them in so went on a friends recommendation for this style. These boots are so comfy and warm. They do take a little breaking in but leather is beautiful and the fur lining is just stunning. These boots are Matt leather (I hadn’t realised) and the lace holes are black (not silver) so quite understated but this then contrasts with the cream fur lining.Had loads of lovely comments when wearing. Highly recommend.

Great boots

Great boots for work or weekends when the temperature drops to zero or below. However the left arch after 2 weeks of wearing still feels a bit tight although the right one is absolutely fine and very comfortable.Another problem is that I accidentally stained the right boot with some oil which left a couple of stains which are slowly disappearing but on closer inspection are still visible. Any idea how to remove such stains? It would be helpful if Dr Martens enclosed instructions on how to remove different types of stains such as oil.

I love these!It's actually my second pair, I bought my first one through a local reseller that no longer carries thee brand and unfortunately they only had the number lower to what I should be using (it would be what I usually wear with lighter shoes, but I advise anyone buying these to go a number higher for more confort). Still, they lasted me four good years, and enough to say I won't be wearing other footwear (save for summer).I'm pleasantly surprised with how fast these came through mail, and looking forward to many more years of confortable walking and saving my ankles from twisting. Also, awesome style that will never come out of fashion 😎

My first pair of docs . I bought them as a gift for me for my name birthday 🌸 True fit. Beautiful colour. Amazing quality.First day of wear did hurt my feet as my feet are wide and I think was just a matter of adjusting. Been wearing them for about a week now and all good. Comfortable. I heard from so many people takes about 4 weeks to “break them” but glad it wasn’t the case. The only mistake i made was not ordering the product care, for these boots i believe is the balm they recommend. Anyways, i am going to order from the website as i deffo want to keep them looking best as ever for as long as can be.I got my eyes on the next pair i am going to order - the chelsea leonore boots, in black. My wife loves her birthday present

Bought the 1460 Pascal Virginia Leather Boots for my wife’s 45th birthday.She’s never owned a pair of Dr Martens but had recently expressed interest in getting a pair. Don’t know if she was dropping hints or not, but I’m taking full credit for remembering anyway.Went with these classic boots, as cool as some of the other styles look, I thought I’d better play it safe.The quality is fantastic and my wife loves them - I’ve been told I did very well.They were comfy from the first time she put them on. The leather to the top half of each boot is so soft, yet they look like they will last a long time, and fit snuggly around the ankle.They go great with my wife’s style of clothing - tight jeans, boot cut jeans, cargo pants etc.

Originally bought these in my actual size which is 6. I put them on and I could just about squeeze my foot in. Felt so uncomfortably painful.... don't think it was meant to.So I did some research and a lot of reviews do say they are hard to break in and you must be prepared. But these seemed to tight on the in step for me to do that. So I returned them and got a 1/2 size bigger which they do!OMG. I love them . My foot just slotted in, I felt tightness but not being in pain ! So maybe just needed that extra room in the instep made the difference! I've worn them twice and once to break in the house. Not had any blisters or anything so must be good! I have literally fell in Love 😍 also the soft leather is beautiful ! So darn comfy

Brought these for myself with Christmas gift money, and have to say, they were so worth it. Ive been wearing them every day near enough. The fur lining makes the shoes easy to get on and take off and gives extra cushion for your feet, keeps your toes warm and most importantly, you don't need to wear them in as with some DM’s which is an added bonus. The colour is gorgeous and the material is so soft. However, I haven’t been wearing them in wet weather as worried about getting them dirty. Thats the only issue if you steer away from original leather pair, is these type show the dirt. That being said, if you follow the care procedure for this material then they will last and look lovely. On the whole, a wonderful pair and would buy 100% again and recommend to anyone.
