In the event of heavy scuffing or loss of colour then clean as before but add a matching coloured wax based shoe polish and buff up the leather with brush and cloth as required.

My old pair of Doc oxfords fell apart--when I say "old," I mean 25 years old. Since I love Docs, I had to replace them. I wore the new pair to work right away, and thought (as is the case with some Docs) that they would be uncomfortable until broken in. These oxfords were comfortable right away! So durability, good looks, and comfort all together--very happy!

I bought the black ones and I loveee them. However, the texture of the white ones are very different. They’re stiff and make my feet look huge. I had to go up one size from the usual because they were so narrow and hard to even slip my foot through

They give a great polished look to any outfit and, with the right socks, I can wear them all day. The soles have that “squish” that we all love so much with this brand. Definitely worth the money.
I was looking for a "winter" shoe and these don't disappoint. I have several pairs of Dr. Martens boots and thought these would need a breaking in period but they were comfortable from the start. While these aren't made in England as Docs originally were, the quality seems to be consistent.It's worth noting these are unisex shoes. Like a previous reviewer, I also wear a women's 8 and found the UK6/US8 waaay to big. The UK5/US7 was perfect (DSW carries another style of ladies Dr. Martens which is *not* unisex and those fit true to size. No need to size down.)
First of all, the quality of Dr. Martens has gone way down since I got my first pair in the 90s. The leather and construction aren’t as good. And the Air Wear Soles just aren’t the same. They aren’t as comfortable. I had to return these because their quality control missed the fact that there was a score cut in the leather that went across the tongue in one of the shoes.
I have had several pair of Docs in the past. I couldn’t recall if they run big or small. I purchased the UK9/US11 (as advertised on the site). They’re actually US10s, but in fairness US11 is also listed on the inside of the show They *fit* but sorta tight. So I would suggest that UK9 be advertised as a US10 and you can go from there.I also ordered a pair of the 8053s. These were advertised as UK10/US11 (I normally wear an 11). They definitely fit better, but do seem a tad big. But gives some room for a bigger sock and even an insert. The padding around the ankle helps immensely.Both are great shoes. But beware the sizing, is the bottom line.
I've been wearing these since 1990. Very comfortable. They last forever and go with everything! Just ordered a pair of boots! Love Docs
I bought these & unfortunately had to return them cuz they were hurting my ankles too much. I really like the style & the leather. They're sharp looking oxfords. But since they're so stiff they rub the back of my ankle & also hit the bottom of my ankle bone. I did find a cheaper pair that I exchanged them for. Mix No. 6 has a white pair of oxfords that look pretty much exactly the same & they're WAY more comfortable. I'd recommend checking them out if you have the same problem I had.
These shoes are so stiff that they caused major blisters on my heels. The fit of most of these Dr Martens shoes are wonky, some are so slim and narrow, others are too long for the size.
