Most comfortable docs I own! The leather is so soft and beautiful quality. No wearing in needed, wore them out for the day straight out the box with standard cotton socks. The elastic rubbed my ankles a bit the first few wears but soon wore in. They also loosen up so they're easier to get on and off after a few wears. The toe box is wider than my smooth leather chelsea docs, I think as they're unisex. That's perfect for me as I have quite wide feet. I've literally lived in these since I got them.

Beautiful Lightweight Chelsea

I am breaking these in through travel, which is the toughest test. The airplane was rough, swelling made my feet feel a little sensitive. Took a day off, then started again. The heal and ankle fit is nice, not too tight, but snug enough. The front part of the shoe is wider than normal. That's great if you have thick socks, or even an insert. But there is movement. Dropped down in Paris and Chelsea boots are big here. But Docs definitely win in style! That yellow threading does not go unnoticed. I would say overall the quality is excellent - but sizing is definitely American and generous.

Comfortable and light

Bought these for my fiancé since she came across these while out Christmas shopping at a JcPenny's, but put them back on the shelf. Then I surprised her with the exact same boots by finding them online through your direct website. It was easy, fast and well worth the price. She is, obsessed with her pair of doc marten's. Extremely Satisfied with My New Boots!

I've had these boots for about a month now, and so far, so good. They are incredibly comfortable, making them perfect for all-day wear. The style is fantastic and exactly what I was looking for. The craftsmanship is impressive, and they feel very durable, which gives me confidence that they'll last a long time. The fit is true to size, and I didn't experience any discomfort breaking them in. Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase and would highly recommend these boots to anyone in search of a stylish and comfortable pair.

Love the look and feel

Love the look and feel of these boots. They are so cushy. They have a nice sharp look. You can use them for work and going out. I am using them for my safety job. Gives me the comfort I need along with the protection. The upper portion gives my foot stability as well. The upper might rub a bit, but that will go away and can be solved by wearing a little thicker sock. Runs a little bigger than my usual size but I would not have enough room if I did not order a size up.I like to add insoles as time goes by. Thanks Doc Marten for such a great boot.

Love them but…..

Once I got them broken in they’re the most comfortable boots I own. I love them. BUT…. I tried three sizes before figuring out which size would fit me. So good luck.Also, and for me the biggest, is that I followed the instructions of the store associate and put Dubbin on them. She didn’t tell me it would literally change the color. I guess perhaps I should’ve known it would change the color, but I didn’t.So I’m still giving them a 4 because they are absolutely great boots.

Love them!

These are great and very comfortable! Some folks have complained about the opening being too tight, but I like that they’re more fitted around the ankle. I had been looking for a pair that was just loose and gaped, and these are perfect. The sizing - I’m glad I had tried these on in a store first because I have tons of Docs and I have always gotten a women’s 8. I usually wear 8.5 in most brands of boots, and some styles of Docs are still kind of big in an 8. This is the first time I’ve had to size down to a 7. Ever. My toes are a tiny bit close to the end, but they still feel better than the 8’s did, which just felt enormous. Ultimately I’m really happy with them and they look great for a more casual style!

No break-in required

I ordered these for a winter trip to NY (rain/snow) but it was a last minute order so I didn't receive them in time. I read that the shoe runs big. I'm size 6-6.5 so ordered a US 7. I found them to be comfy from the get go, didn't require any break-in time, maybe because I ordered the larger size. I have large calves and wondered whether that would be an issue (more reason for me to size up), but it wasn't. The top of the boot didn't dig in to my lower shin, thankfully. Super solid pair of shoes. Very well made, easy to wear, and versatile. can't go wrong with these! Treat yourself.

Very disappointed

To start, I’m sure these boots are made very well and I was so excited to get them in. I’m a curvier woman so I always research and read reviews on boots to make sure they’ll work with my thicker legs. With that said, my wrists are pretty small and reaching in these boots to pull that paper out, my wrist was getting stuck. There’s absolutely no way a normal adult foot/ankle will feet in here. To test it out, I even had my 10 year old child (who is extremely skinny) to try them on and he said they were painful rubbing his ankles. I double checked the size and yes, they are for adult women size 8, but there’s no way. I don’t know how anyone could possibly get these on, much less wear them for any amount of time.
