Got the Dr Martens rugged and dressed aesthetic, but also the usual issues as with most ankle-high boots made of tough leather-esque material. Needs some breaking in to make it comfortable for longer wear. At the moment, my calves know they're hitting against the top of the boot with every step. Wish they would line the cuff edge with some cushioning to make it softer against the calf. The laces were not thought out at all. They're a flimsy, slim polyester blend that don't really hold. Haven't got much wear from my pair, since I've been looking for a new pair of laces to replace the originals. Not what you expect when you pay this much for a pair of Docs.

Everything with these boots is pretty great except getting them on. Since there is no lining for some reason, the unfinished leather inside the boots make it difficult to get on. It grabs whatever is on your feet, socks, tights, and doesn’t allow your foot to go in the boot. So there’s this fight you have to go through to get your feet in and then you have to adjust your socks or whatever so your toes are squished to death. Then there is the issue with the laces. They are shorter than they probably should be. I couldn’t tie them at first because they couldn’t even meet. I had to wait until the leather softened up a bit before I could tie them. The ankle and leg opening seems to be made too small for a normal person. My ankles are big and I feel like they are too big ... MoreEverything with these boots is pretty great except getting them on. Other than all that, they are pretty cozy and they look cool. I just think they could be better.

The boots live up to the DR Marten brand and are well worth their money. My issue is the lack of any mention of them being the vegan version on the product page which gives off the impression they are of the real leather type. This wasn't a particular issue for me but the lack of clarity and option to return the product because of it makes this dishonest advertising. This is potentially harmful to the consumer due to the expensive nature of these boots.

I am soo pleased with these DMs don't know why it took me this long to get some. Three days wearing them, walked around ikea for 2hours. Love how it hugs my skinny legs and leaves enough room for my wide feet. Only drawback...if they are laced all the way up your leg it has to be tight which then makes it difficult to walk and if it's too loose it doesn't quite hug your leg. Overall, they are my new besties, I'll keep wearing them to see how it changes
As I have seen these trending more and more and winter is upon us, I decided to finally purchase my first pair. They look great. For sure. They are however not a great fit. Very uncomfortable and tight. The materials are very rigid and shiny not what I expected. Easy to scratch. I expected the fabric to be a lot softer. Laces are very short too. As I have worn them now I cannot return. I will definitely not purchase another pair. Not worth the price at all. Look good but that's about it if I am honest.
I have wanted a pair of Dr. Martens for about 20 years now and finally decided to treat myself for my birthday. Straight out of the box these boots look unbelievably cool! It was love at first sight. They are well made, beautiful super thick leather, and very sturdy. I personally appreciate the zipper, even though I understand that is an unpopular opinion with some; without the zipper I don't know that you could get them on honestly. The style and 10 eye height make them easy to style with pretty much anything, and the platform gives my 5'3 self a lil extra height. Awesome!But... I measure a true US women's size 8 and fit as such in other "true to size" brands. When my US women's size 8 boots came in the mail, they were huge! They visibly looked too big for me and had so much extra room it felt dangerous to walk in. This was exacerbated by the fact that these boots are extremely heavy. I decided to order a size 7 to see which felt better because these boots are seriously too cool to give up on. The 7's fit much better and noticeably look like they fit way better; the only issue is that my big toes slightly tap the front of the boots (only) when I walk; they are not squished and it's not painful, but I'm just very aware of it when I walk.I decided to keep the 7's and send back the 8's because even thick socks (which I don't want to have to wear all the time anyway) and inserts couldn't make the 8's fit right; I also know that leather stretches over time, so the boots would potentially fit worse later on. I took the 7's to a cobbler to have them professionally stretched for almost two weeks. They do fit better now, but my toe still finds the top of the boot easier than I like. I am hoping they conform to my feet and that resolves over time. Like I said, it's not painful but just something I am aware of when I walk. I wish these came in 1/2 sizes because then the fit would be absolutely perfect, which is why I gave these 4 stars out of 5.The leather is extremely thick and was pretty brutal to try to break in myself; they tore up the back of my feet through two thick pairs of socks when I was trying to stretch them out at home. It only cost $7 to get them professionally stretched, and I would highly recommend considering doing that instead of murdering your feet trying to break them in at home. I would say they were pretty unwearable out of the box. I understand that Docs are notorious for needing to be broken in, and these are no exception. All that being said, I am in love with these boots and am really excited to finally stomp around town in them to break them in to perfection.
I bought these boots because they said leather upper. When they arrived the box said they were vegan boots. When I contacted Customer service they told me " Yes they are vegan and leather" after several attempts trying to explain the two together are not possible I gave up. Don't buy these boots if you want leather ones. The description is wrong.
These boots have been an excellent purchase for me. True to size and beyond comfortable. I have three pairs of Docs now and can see myself purchasing many more in the future. I love love love the platforms on these boots, stylish and cool, the design couldn't be better. The leather is also wonderful to look at and as long as you look after the boots they will definitely stay wonderful. Soles were comfortable and so was the heel, once you wear these in they'll be ready for anything.
Everything about them is brilliant, the look, the fit, Docs have always been my favourite boots. The only issue i have which I don't know was caused by my own doing or depo or transport. There is a small scuff on the front of my right boot, I haven't worn them out of my home yet, and I only worn them sat on the couch I just didn't notice until after I had them on for 10 minutes. I still think they are amazing, and I am so grateful to the team in Chester helping me decide what to get. Very fun and friendly team, deffinitly my go to shop now.
The docs are of course beautiful but unfortunately I’m not sure if I had really bad luck with mine but the laces that came with mine were too short and the store said they were the wrong laces to be provided with the jadon hi’s, so I had to purchase new laces which she kindly laced for me. The worst thing though is that the tongue on the left boot completely twists to the left which means when wearing them part of my sock is exposed. For the price of these boots I’d expect much better. The lady in the store told me once the leather softens up that “maybe” I’d be able to train the tongue into the correct position but she didn’t sound hopeful, just kept profusely apologising that I was “unfortunate” to get a twisted tongue.
