These exceed my expectations and then some!!! I've been wanted black doc sandals for a while now and these came on sale. So glad I took the chance on these because I love them! Comfortable and look so good on! I sized down from my normal sz7 to sz6 based on reviews and they fit perfectly, even with my slightly wider feet, they are great. Beyond happy!

I love Doc Martens… I have been wearing them for nearly 40 years. I have a small, but wide foot. My usual size is 6 1/2 US wide; generally I can go with a 36 or 37, and UK 4 or 5. I ordered these in UK 4 & 5. The UK 5 was too big footbed-wise, but wide enough for my wide forefoot. The UK 4 was perfect footbed-wise, but too narrow for the widest part of my foot. My guess is that if I could have worn them around for a while, the leather might’ve stretched, but I didn’t want to risk not being able to wear them and have them sitting in my closet. Otherwise, these are your classic, well built, very good looking doc Martens.

I always get a new pair of DM sandals every year and these ones have not disappointed. Firstly they are really comfortable, you can wear them straight out of the box and don’t have to wear them in. The size is true to your size and they also have adjustable straps. The design is great too, easily worn with a lot of different looks. The soles are moulded and the platform is a slightly different colour which adds to the overall look. Another great look from DM thank you .

After several disappointing DM purchases, mainly due to random sizes, these have come up trumps.I have been the same size for 40 years, unfortunately DM’s sizes tend to chop and change.The fit is perfect, extremely comfortable from day one so no need to wear in. Minor quibble, when the weather is very hot they become very sweaty and squelchy on the soles of the feet.
Unless you have a wide foot, size down. The other reviews are right - your heel will hang off the back of these sandals no matter what. I didn’t find that too uncomfortable, so I decided to keep them. They’re very cute! The only other complaint I have is that the quality of the straps doesn’t match the quality of the sole and footbed. You’ll see what I mean if you decide to buy a pair. Some say the leather breaks in and feels better over time. I hope they’re right. Prepare for a stiff, sharp upper attached to a thick, heavy sole. If that doesn’t bother you, these are fantastic shoes.
I am pleasantly surprised at just how comfortable these are. I have only had two other pair of Docs before… and I have to admit that these are by far more comfortable. Also, I think their sizing changed for the better. I love that I can wear these all day and be completely fine at the end of the day. The soles are sturdy, as per usual and I just adore the aesthetics of these. They ended up pairing with more outfits than originally anticipated. Really great quality. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
I returned these as they were a VERY large 10. The strap in the front didn't even touch my toes. I wanted to exchange them-- Dr. Martens does not allow for exchanges, only returns and repurchases. The whole experience was very frustrating. I am a long time wearer of the brand. I typically buy second hand. I will continue to purchase resale outside of the site from here on out. Too much hassel, no reward.
I love them! When I first received them I noticed right away that the trim on the top of the sole was slightly miss aligned and I was a little sad about that however I decided to keep themOtherwise these are my favorite shoes I've ever had an I was lucky to get them on saleI have a pair of soft boots I've had for almost 10 years they are a size 8 and have become a bit small for me in the toe so I was going to order a size 9 but after reading the reviews I decided to get the sandles in a size 8 and they couldn't be more perfect so definitely follow the size down advice! The Velcro is strong and well designed!
I love Docs, I've been wearing them for about 50 years (yeah i really am that old!) the thick soles are fab. I would have preferred buckles to velcro (especially for the price) but I needed some sandals for an event and these would give me added height. I have very wide feet and buckles would make it easier to stretch the straps as they are quite tight. Also not sure how long the velcro will last. My last Doc sandals are still going after 5 years. All that being said, they are lovely sandals and very comfortable...... after I stretched the straps.
i am so glad i made this purchase! i was looking into the different kinds of sandals and the ricki's soles stood out to me. i think they have a grungier style which is perfect for me! i've been seeing some people think these feel 'heavy' but it's definitely subjective; it's not any heavier than the other platform shoes they have (though the foam sole variants of the sandals are definitely a much lighter option!) i've worn these all day long walking about 10k steps at a museum and the weight was not a problem at all.i wear size 6 in the shoes but i got a 5 for these. my shoe size is typically 6.5 everywhere else
