I was recently getting my hair cut and noticed another stylist wearing these. She told me theyāre Doc Martens and that they save her feet during the day. Shesās tall, thin, and blonde (all the things I am in my mind but not in my Jubana ā a Cuban born Jew ā body). Those were some darn coolsandals, though. Iām a 7 1/2 so I ordered an 8 since there are only whole sizes available. They were like AAAH, IāM IN HEAVEN the moment I I slid them on my feet. They ran a bit big, though ā my toes were very far away from the sandalsā front edge ā but that just means Iāll buy them again, this time in a 7. I want to thank that tall, skinny blonde for making the introduction to what I expect over time will be a closet full of assorted Docs.

After years of debating whether to buy them or not I took the plunge. I'm really glad i did though. Already thinking of another pair!! These are super comfy, they're cushioned so your feet don't feel like they're walking on bricks. The cushioning has a slight arch that is so good. Other sandals don't have this sort of arch and you notice it fast. The position of the crossed straps is great, no rubbing on my little toes. The buckles on the heel and ankle are brilliant and well thought of. I love that the sole isn't too high of a platform but still gives a bit of height.

These are my first ever dr martens and I canāt believe I didnāt buy them years ago. They go with everything - jeans, skirts, dresses (even with tights) plus add an extra inch of height. Iām already 5ft 8 but itās nice to feel taller (and slimmer).I expected them to be difficult to wear in the beginning having heard a lot of people say they are painful to break in, but I havenāt had any trouble with them at all. That being said, I did wear them with fluffy socks in the house for the first day so this might have helped.I bought a size 7, which is my normal size, and they fit perfectly. I also have quite wide feet and this wasnāt an issue, either.Very happy with my purchase - I literally wear them all the time now (except for work) and will definitely buy another ...Ā MoreThese are my first ever dr martens and I canāt believe I didnāt buy them years ago. They go with everything - jeans, skirts, dresses (even with tights) plus add an extra inch of height. Absolutely love these sandals. Comfortable from day 1, little bit of loosening them in, but so so light to wear. Iām in love with them!Had dilemmas about size I should buy. Sometimes in other shoes Iām a 7, so went for 6.5. I would honestly say just buy your actual normal shoe size. I ended up with a 6, which is my actual size. Great also as there are 2 buckles so great if you have wider legs or ankles. Cannot fault these beautiful sandalsā¦.
Iām a size 6 and I was afraid theyād run big even though theyāre advertised as true to size. Based off some reviews I bought a size 5 and had to return them because my toes were sticking out the front. I got my size, and they fit perfect! I wore them around the house for a little bit to break them in, I thought I was going to get blisters based off how the straps felt on my skin. Did not. Been wearing them out since, without a problem. Theyāre so comfortable, canāt wait to buy different styles!
They complete any outfit and look so good. I found they fit me perfectly and were super comfortable right away.I just hope they last longer than the Blaire Hydro sandals I bought just over a year ago. I wore them for a week to break them in and then took them on holiday and continued to wear them all summer (obvs not every day) as I loved them so much. Got about 2 weeks into the summer this year and I discovered the ankle strap was frayed and about to snap. I tried to get them mended but was told they couldn't be fixed. For £109 and with the DM name I would expect them to last longer than 1 1/2 summers. Really love my Blaire Quad Hydros and hope they last a few years
My RA Nurses had been telling me off for living in flop-flips. š¬ They told me to get old lady shoes and old lady sandals ( No they didn't say old lady, but that's what they were describing. Ys I'm 63, but I still object. š) Anyway, I've worn DM boots since I got out of the army 3 or 4 decades ago and they've never let me down so figured I'd try these. They're bloomin ' brilliant! Highly recommend to anyone, not just uz not de*d yet old folks.
The site said that they were true to size. However when I tried them on, they were clearly a size too big. Additionally th straps are wider and cover more of my foot than I expected. So if you have petite feet and are looking for more of a summer-y sandal, I would not recommend this style. Thankfully I was able to return them and receive a refund relatively quickly and smoothly.
I have wide feet and hate buying no shoes as my feet blister easily. I've never actually owned a pair of Dr Martens before (shocking I know!) but love the style of these sandals but wasn't sure if I could justify spending the money. I'm so glad I did! These sandals are simply amazing! You can see the quality in them the moment I took them out of the box. When wearing the sandals I feel like I'm walking on air! And the great thing is I can adjust the buckles to find the perfect fit for my wide feet. If your doubting whether to purchase them or not - I'd say 100% just buy them! You won't be disappointed.
If you are like me, you buy doc Martens one size smaller because they usually run crazy large. I'm 7.5 for sandals so bought this at 7, and was shocked that it was actually kinda small; my big toes are sneaking out of the sole in the front. I'm keeping this though because 1. the bottom sole is large enough that my toes are still contained within the general boundary of the shoe and won't be banging into things, and 2. sling back straps are just enough length on my ankle that I can "slip" in and out without doing the buckles each time but they will still stay on when I walk.
