These shoes are so cute. I originally purchased a size 8... Iām not sure why I didnāt listen to the reviews about sizing... and holy cow they were like two inches longer than my toes. They do run large as I still have about 0.5-0.75 inch in room in the toe area and the straps are comfortably loose. I don't know if they'll stretch too much and be uncomfortably loose in the future since they are leather but that remains to be seen (no one wants their feet to slide back and forth). Cute shoes. The ankle strap kinda dug in the front, since I don't have a skinny ankle, but after bending it around it's a bit better. I also took some fine sand paper to sand down the edge of the strap to also dull it out where it hits the ankle. Now I think it's manageable. Size was also good. I'm a size 6 - 6.5 depending on the shoe. I have a slightly wider foot as well so a 6 was perfect. If you have a narrow foot, I say go a size down.

Iām a huge fan of Dr Martenās shoes. I still have my original pair that are 25 years old and still look great. However, I donāt like the materials Dr Marten is using in their shoes now. Some kind of synthetic leather. Itās not soft therefore it doesnāt bend or move with you. Scratchy, stiff, and just plain uncomfortable. Iām sad and disappointed.
I have several pairs of Drs., but this is my 1st sandal. Love the purple! If you follow the size guide they fit perfectly. I am an 8 UK in Drs, but details said size down 1 size. I got the 7 UK & they are perfect. I get so many compliments on them. They are super comfortable, fun & Dr. M edgy. I thought there might be an issue with my baby toe popping out because of where the strap lands, but it's not an issue.
Hydro leather is Polyurethane (PU) leather. NOT real leather synthetic leather. If you are OK with synthetic textile material (see Dr Martens website) then great sandal, very comfy. Top Strap at toe area is not the best fit, but does not look bad. Size down. If you are a 9 then 8 will fit good, but if you are a true 9.5, then 8 may be a little short. Fit across ball of foot is wider but not too wide, similar to most Dr Martens boots. Returning & purchasing the leather version for 20.00 more on Dr martens website.

I read other reviews and Iām glad that I did because you need to size down an entire size. I am a true size 10 and shoes and I purchased a nine based on reviews. They fit perfectly with a little bit extra room at the end. The information inside the shoe says it is a US size 9 but an EU41. I honestly think that these are based off of menās shoes sizes which Iāve see on Drās before. I found a pair of Oxfordās that I loved and they were a size 9 which I couldnāt believe fit my huge foot. I love them. But they are kind of uncomfortable. Usually a size 8. Returned and got a size 7. And they are still big ? Your feet slide all the way back when walking. Idk how to explain it but your foot doesnāt stay put. I know Iām not the only one, Iāve seen it happen to other girls Iāve seen them with. At first I thought they got the wrong sizes, bc their foot was almost out the sandal on the back, but upon getting my pair, itās the sandal itself that makes your foot slide back. Iām not going to return but definitely not what I expected. Also, the second strap rubs against my pinkie since the foot slides back.
