Probably the best boots I've ever purchased. These look amazing on and fit like perfection - nice and roomy around the toe box and slim to the ankle for support. I'm a size 6.5 usually but went for the 6 as the 7 would likely be huge on me. I fully expected them to be pinching at the toes, but there's loads of room for thick socks and may even buy some insoles. Highly recommend 👌 Love them!

Ok, maybe talk to me again in 3 months, but I don’t understand how you’re supposed to get your foot into this shoe? I have skinny ankles and I need to practically dislocate my foot and spend 20 minutes of wriggling to get past the elastic gussets. Once in, the width and length is perfect, meanwhile I’m losing circulation around my ankles. I’ve spent the last 2 weeks stretching them out with scrunched up paper and wide gin bottles, lots of leather conditioner, wearing at home etc and just now finally getting bearable. I’m hoping they continue to improve, but for whose feet are they designed? I’ve had Chelsea style before with no problems. What’s with the ankle space, Dr M?

Not happy with the sizing. I’m 5.5. I tried on a 5 in store and it was too small, so I bought size 6 on line and they are WAY too big. I have had to put insoles and wear thick socks. I wouldn’t by DMs again online. I would want to get them in store where I could get the size right. Wish they did 5.5. My sister since told me you have to buy them small and break them in. It’s too late now as I’ve worn them out. So will just have to live with the large size. A lot of money for shoes that don’t fit.

I'm not sure what to say about these. I ordered 2 pair. One in Dark Brown and one in Brown? I question it because now I can't find the two different colors listed on the website and both boxes came labeled Dark Brown. One pair fits fine and I probably won't have to break them in at all and the second pair, I can't even get on. The opening is way to small. They're not at all easy to get on. I've owned many pairs of Docs and I always order a size down. They fit perfectly with thick wool socks. Trying to get a refund is a huge hassle. Don't recommend buying from the website. Always buy in store and try them on there first. Now I have $150 tied up for however many weeks. Very unfortunate.
Been thinking about buying these for some weeks. Trying to convince myself that they are worth the price. I already have several pairs of DMs so knew the fit would be good. They looked beautiful when they arrived. The opening is very narrow which means you've got to push hard to get your foot in. Once on, they are a snug, but not tight, fit on both foot and ankle. I've been wearing them for longish walks round town, which were very comfortable; and for nights out where they look smart with jeans
My Doc Martens are about 2 weeks old, and I absolutely love the look and feel of them (for the most part). They feel sturdy and the insole is extremely comfortable. They don’t need extra insoles, like a previous pair of Chelsea boots I’ve worn from a different company did. However, the tightness of the leather is still causing the top of my right foot to be in pain almost all day, even after two weeks. I read that they would be hard to break in, but I thought the pain would go away at this point of wearing them consistently. My left foot is good, it’s just the right foot! I think the top of my foot is hitting the seam of the boot, which is less flexible, and so the constant friction causes pain. So overall, I love my Docs but I’m really hoping they break in better ... MoreMy Doc Martens are about 2 weeks old, and I absolutely love the look and feel of them (for the most part). I've been wearing Docs since the 90s, and have found they typically run true to size. To my disappointment, I found this untrue of this particular boot and should have heeded the reviews of others and ordered a size down.Since I have a wider foot and wear a women's 9.5 in most brands, I decided to take my chances on the (size chart) recommended size 40. That was a big mistake I couldn't return because the leather these boots are made of shows noticeable wear* at flex points. After a few months of looking at them in my closet, knowing I couldn't wear them without my feet looking comically large and slipping in the soles, I ordered a size down (39) and couldn't be happier. They're comfortable and flattering, and only took about 10 hours of intermittent wear to break ... MoreI've been wearing Docs since the 90s, and have found they typically run true to size. My sister, with larger feet, loves her new pair as well!*I highly recommend purchasing the shoe care kit. These boots require extra protection and care. In general, because of the Crazy Horse leather and specifically if you live somewhere salt is used to treat ice and snow. If you haven't purchased the Wonder Balsam in a long time, take note that it no longer comes with an applicator.
The quality of these are no where as good as it was when I bought the same pair 3 years ago (had to but another pair as earlier ones developed a hole and the rubber had come away from the sole). The leather feels far thinner, and general construction is not as good. They were 'Made in...' two different places not sure if that has something to do with it. I really dislike shopping so the thought of scrolling for hours on end is not appealing, hence why i just bought the same pair again. The sizing also feels different, they feel a little bigger (and when compared to last bought, they are) the size down would still be too small though (why i also said true to size). I would think twice next time due to quality.
I bought these for my son. He was looking at another brand, but we decided on these as a more affordable option for growing feet.My son was very happy with how they looked and how they fit. He has done a fair bit of walking in them and didn’t require any breaking in. We wear the same size of shoe and unlike the (different) model that I have, these boots do fit true to size. Overall very happy and great value with sales and discounts.
So far so good! I bought these boots for work. I don’t wear them every day but when I do, I find them comfortable. These boots feel well-built and durable. I did put effort into breaking them in prior to wearing for a full day and I think that made a difference. The Crazy Horse leather is really soft—not as soft as the Nappa, but pretty darn close.I typically wear a women’s 8.5 (US) and I bought these in a size 8. They are plenty big, and with the right sock fit just fine.
