I also love the choice of being able to lace or zip them up-it’s nice to have options!I stuck with my normal size, and very happy I did, they fit like a glove. I’ve followed the guidance from the Dr. Marten website on wearing them in, little and often, and wearing thick socks, and haven’t suffered any discomfort.Excellent value for money, well made shoes that will last me for years, so pleased I invested!

I have the Audrick Platform Chelsea Boot in black and LOVE them. So I decided I wanted something in white with the same kind of platform. I figured I'd need to size down like in most Dr. Martins but I was wrong. I got these in a 7 (like I did with the Chelsea Boot) and I'm a pretty solid size 8. I could barely get them on my bare foot. They are super tight and have a much more narrow foot bed area. I will need to purchase my normal size 8, maybe even a 9. The Chelsea boots also say, "Air Wair" but the Sinclair Bootie does not have the same padded foot bed. Not a deal breaker for me- it took me a bit to get use to the padded foot bed in the Chelsea boot. Love how these are also a solid white (no yellow tint).

Dr Martens have been recommended to me by so many people, so thought I would give them a try. I had a really good experience in store, the lady I spoke with went through a variety of styles with me. I decided on these boots because they have the option to look like two different styles of boot. I also got the insole to make the fit better and more comfortable. The quality is great, they are hardy and look very cool with jeans or a dress. I ordered them online & signed up to the newsletter to get 10% off saving myself about £19 which was amazing. Definitely recommend.
Me and my wife Lucy just shared our third wedding anniversary. And i thought what better gift is there for a leather themed anniversary than the beautiful dr martens.I went for the milled nappa boots and they did not disappoint.They arrived just before we left for a party and needless to say the footwear she had on were instantly discarded.We danced all night and there wasnt a sore foot or blister to be seen the next day, after no breaking in. She mentioned that she wondered how many people realize that the zipper is REMOVABLE! That was a revelation! The zipper is actually a separate piece laced in. I've NEVER READ THAT IN ANY DESCRIPTION OF THE SINCLAIR BOOTIE! It made all the difference. Well, that and the sale price for a discontinued color.The removable zipper makes them more versatile. This is my first pair of Doc's and I absolutely love them! They were my second choice initially (the other pair I wanted sold out) but I'm actually thrilled I ended up with them instead. I love the classic look of them, love the platform, and that I got the best of both worlds with having a zipper and laces. Super easy to dress up or down depending on my mood. Definitely recommend purchasing insoles to go inside instead of just wearing them as-is, but I anticipated this & bought a pair at the same time as my boots. My only small complaint is that they don't do half sizes, but it's really not much of an issue seeing as how I wear boot socks with them anyway.

Someone with taller feet and/or wider ankles would fit them well without insoles I think. If you are between sizes, I would say size down. But not a whole size! I have bunions and I think that a smaller size might hurt my feet. The issue is that there is too much space between the top of the foot and the tongue of the shoe, so you will slide around. Insoles are the solution! And apparently most work boots require insoles anyways for a custom fit... Worth the insoles and worth the complicated ... MoreI LOVE these! Slightly bigger in the fit then my previous docs, maybe the added zip giving more width? I really wanted the Jadon but preferred the Soft milled leather over the harder smooth leather of the Jadon. I wasa bit worried about the size of the platform (I am mid 40) but they look good with everything. Still very comfortable and using them in this recent icy conditions the tread is holding up very well! I have quite slim feet and there is a slight bulk using the zip and I’m sure that would not be an issue without the zips but I wanted to zip up my boots. Will be keeping them and wearing them every day … with everything!

Unfortunately, I regret my purchase....too much work, too heavy, expensive. Should have gone to a store to buy and try on. Maybe the classic style would have been a better choice.....But, these are still very cute...
