This collection offers our two most definitive styles the 8-eye boot and 3-eye shoe to the vegan consumer. The synthetic materials used are acutely vegan-friendly but this has not precluded quality, with this collection replicating our standard footwear down to the very last detail, even boasting a more natural feeling heel loop. The original Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole, providing underfoot comfort and durability since 1960. It is oil- and fat-resistant, tough and offers good abrasion and slip resistance.

I bought these shoes on sale so I could test out DM vegan shoes with minimal cost in case I didn't like something about them. Verdict: they're great! I can't say how they'll hold up over the long term, but in the handful of weeks I've had them they've looked and felt as good as any other of my DMs (and I've got about 16 pairs). In fact, these shoes required pretty much no break-in at all. And the color fade from purple to black is *gorgeous*. In sum: this is a very nice pair of shoes - all comfort and good looks...and animal-friendly to boot.

Love my new DM's. Haven't owned a pair for years but took the plunge after a conversation about the vegan shoe dilemma - if not prepared to wear leather, how to justify environment-destroying plastics? Can't bring myself to buy new leather so went for best quality alternative in hope they last and last. They look great; sizing seems very generous but ultra-comfortable with inserts. Ask me about longevity in 10 years.

I have a lovely pair of turquoise vegan Doc shoes, & I ordered a pair of cherry vegan shoes from the sale- but they were a very different style, much more pointed, & too narrow. So I took them to the Brighton shop, who were really helpful, & found me a pair of purple vegan Docs. They're great, cool colour (though tbh I was hoping to get a cherry pair), the staff at your Brightnon shop were great - only downside is the purple ones weren't in the sale. I REALLY hope you make all your shoes with the more rounded style of toe cap, then i can get a pair of cherry coloured Docs at some point in the future.PS I don't think the cherry Docs are True to size

I think that these shoes have been much worse since Martens removed the full insole and went for a half insole. They look half-finished inside and they are much more uncomfortable. When I asked at the store, they told me that I can buy insoles separately. I did but they make the shoes very uncomfortable for me - as then they are too small. So now I'm on the hunt for half insoles for the front side to make them a bit more comfortable. I don't understand why Martens changed the design like this...
Beautiful pair of shoes. So shiny and cute with every outfit.Just a few problems I had that other people haven’t mentioned: first, I got my usual size but had to end up sending them back and getting a size smaller, which fit perfectly, so beware. They’re vegan leather, so expect creases at the bend even from the first day. They’re easy to iron out, but faux leather will always crease very easily.Lastly, unlike other people here I have found trouble breaking them in. Make sure you wear thick socks, double if you can, and out of blÃster plasters for at least the first few days.Otherwise, they’re absolutely beautiful and very comfortable, what you’d expect from a pair of docs.
First pair I have bought and owned. I needed a nice pair of shoes for a friends wedding. I found these and they were a great deal on sale from the web!As I wasn't sure on sizing, I popped into the Carnaby Street store. They didn't have the exact colour but found me another to try for size. The girl in the shop was so helpful and full of advice. I ordered immediately online after the leaving the store. They arrived in good time, and were better than I had hoped for. Perfect fit, super comfortable and look great too.Very Happy!!!
This is my first experience with vegan shoes, and it'll probably be my last. Vegan, it seems, just means plastic... or some material that feels about the same as plastic: stiff and not breathable. The first time I wore these, the rear rim of the left shoe had been digging so far into the back of my ankle that I had developed a blister after just a little walking around. Luckily, I don't have to walk much at my job, so I left them on for the rest of the day. By the end of the day, not only was the rear of my left ankle torn up by what little walking I did, my socks were nearly dripping with sweat because the shoes are like plastic boxes. Other than those two issues, they look really great and the fit is good. I just wish they weren't so stiff and stuffy. I'd love to know if there's a solution to the heel issue at least... otherwise, I probably won't wear these at all. Just a waste of money...
So I've always wanted Martens shoes, but could never buy them for multiple reasons. And now I have these beauties.I've ordered a 1 size bigger, since I was afraid they'd be too tight. I could've easily fit in my size. 1 size bigger is a bit loose, but still wearable, especially when wearing socks.I only wore them once, but they destroyed my feet badly. Will see if I manage to stretch them out.
The style is top notch- totally love it, the best looking shoes. The texture and quality, the shine and color- unmatched. The material is superior and nothing like I’ve seen before- excellent to say the least. For me- I was between sizes, so when I opted for the smaller size, I’ve struggled to break into them, the vegan docs don’t give very easily. They are getting better now, but I’ve had to go through pain and blisters before they become my got to, comfy pair of boots.I LOVE them, irrespective. Just hope they become comfy very soon!
Although not a vegan, I have been a veggie for 45 years and have always felt the guilt pangs of wearing leather footwear, even though I’ve always tried to root out ethically sourced kit. I experimented with a plastic pair of ‘Mock Docs’ many years ago, which were awful. They never bedded in and were sweaty and minging. A number of friends had purchased vegan Dr Martins and their glowing reports persuaded me to take the plunge. All I can say is Wow!Wow!Wow! Comfortable straight out of the box, they wear in just like my leather Doctor Martins back in the day and are massively easier to maintain. A quick wipe with a damp cloth and they’re back to their box fresh ox blood shine. I’ll definitely be back for more and highly recommend giving them a whirl.
