I’ve wanted a pair of 1460 Made in England for a long time. I wish I hadn’t waited.These boots are top notch! Comfortable right out of the box, very little wearing in needed (especially compared to Trickers and Church’s)The colour is fantastic! So versatile, the go with pretty much everything.

My Doc Martens are out of this world, it was like putting a pair of British histories on your feet. The craftsmanship that goes into these Northampton-based shoes is outstanding, by far the best quality shoes I have. I’m proud to wear on my feet. The Doc Martens vintage made in England are pure quality And I couldn’t think of a better shoe, I’d rather have on my foot. The boots, even have the choice of wearing them in to the shape of your foot and are looking forward to this and wearing them on your feet and moulding to the shape of your feet, for the rest of your life . This is the purchase I will last you for a lifetime.

My wife wanted these and I wanted to like them. We went to a local store to buy them, but they didn't have her size. The stores also can't order it online for you a ship. So I did that and picked the size that fit in the store (note only full sizes because??? People who buy these boots don't expect comfort). The boot arrived but the size shipped was the wrong one. Spent an hour on the phone with support and they wouldn't ship a new one of the right size until mine was received and they wouldn't reimburse expedited shipping for this mistake. Gave up online and the store now had more in stock... Only the new stock didn't fit. Poor quality control (these were the fancier made in UK version) abounds... My wife is over them.
Wore various Martens 1460 boots before in UK 7 and they were always little bit roomier but still comfortable.Vintage are a bit more expensive but they look really good.UK 7 feels little bit more tight but perfectly fine.I am still in a process of breaking and I guess it will be about 2 weeks till they finally adjust to my feet.One thing I noticed on the right boot, just above the ankle - top surface of the leather looks a bit weird in a location where it should fold a bit. It seems like a leather coating.Left boot doesn't have that I am not sure if this is is perfectly normal. I haven't seen anything on my other 3 pairs of docs I used.Other than than lovely boot.4 stars because I still don't know how the coating conform to further breaking.
Love these boots! Great colour and great to wear with anything. Able to wear straight out of the box with no problems. Will soften up in time. I wear a size 6 and would say they are quite generously sized. Able to wear with thicker Dr Marten socks. This is my third pair of Made in Englands. I have lots of other Dr Marten boots, shoes and sandals but the Made in Englands are so worth the extra cost for the quality. Also bought the yellow and brown laces to change it up a bit.
At 52 years old, I’ve wanted a pair of docs since 1979. Took some time and finally decided to buy two pairs. The leather is so thick and stiff put the balsam on first and massage the leather. They’re my slippers for now till they loosen up. Soles are so comfortable. Cherry red colour is the one for me and it’s gorgeous. Am a size 6 usually but got the 6.5 as a bit tight near the big toe. Can’t wait to wear them outside.
My Dad sadly passed away recently and whilst dealing with his affairs my Mum gave us all some cash to buy something to remember him by. Nearly 50 years ago, when he really couldn't afford much, my Dad always bought me Doctor Martens boots as the go to, durable footwear that an active young lad would get lengthy use out of. 50 years on and the English made 1460 boot is every bit as good as I remember in terms of fit, looks and superb quality. I'm sure my Dad would approve of my choice, especially being English made and in the Oxblood colour. I'll have fond memories of him every time I wear them!

There is just something so very unique about them. My latest acquisitions are a lovely pair of Oxblood "Made In England" 1460's in the beautiful, legendary Quilon leather. I may be old these days but at least my feet are still proper cool !
It took me two years to finally grow a pair and purchase these boots. My fifth pair. My first were 14 Hole black in '87, 10 Hole Oxblood in '88, 3 Hole Oxblood in '90 and 8 Hole black greasy leather in '98. These Made In England boots are beautiful! Quality is noticed immediately of the rigid, thick leather. I added store-bought inserts for added arch support and cushioning. I have narrow feet and these boots are tight width-wise. I wear a US M10.5 and ordered US 11. Fits fine. Used Wonder Balsam a few times during break-in. Going on a weeks worth of wear; coming along proper. The ONLY way to break in new Docs is to lace 'em up and wear them!
