I was really excited to get these. I originally got size 8 because I normally wear an 8.5, but they were still far too large. I returned then and ordered the 7 instead. The fit from toe to heel was better, but the straps were much tighter. I have slim feet so was able to fit into them fine, but would imagine that even an average foot would feel contracted in them.Ultimately, I ended up returning the size 7 as well because I did not like the way they felt walking. The soles are EXTREMELY bouncy and the platform height made it feel like I was wearing moon shoes! It quickly tired out my calves and shin muscles to the point of discomfort, even after a short walk. Sadly I was very disappointed with these.I have wanted a pair for so long and decided to treat myself and my sister.We had to order these 3 times over.The front straps are either very loose or tight so your foot will not go through properly.The inside leather on the strap is very uneven, they are very messy in the stitching.This causing rubbing all over your feet from the uneven stiching, making it look so unprofessional for this make of shoeUnfortunately I had had to wear these to find out meaning I cannot return now and can not wear them either.This isn't due to them wearing in its the shabby finish of the sewing.So disappointed as I have many of the boots .

Unless you have a wide foot, size down. The other reviews are right - your heel will hang off the back of these sandals no matter what. I didn’t find that too uncomfortable, so I decided to keep them. They’re very cute! The only other complaint I have is that the quality of the straps doesn’t match the quality of the sole and footbed. You’ll see what I mean if you decide to buy a pair. Some say the leather breaks in and feels better over time. I hope they’re right. Prepare for a stiff, sharp upper attached to a thick, heavy sole. If that doesn’t bother you, these are fantastic shoes.

Aesthetically, these shoes are awesome. I love the style and proportions. However, the fit misses the mark. I ordered down a size like many users suggested, and that definitely helped with the length (it was definitely the right size for my footbed), but the top strap was way too tight on my toes. It felt like I was about to have the foot equivalent of a nip slip; my pinkie toe was halfway out of the strap.I’m going to try and exchange for my regular size to see how that goes, but I’m nervous that the increased pinkie toe room might throw off the other aspects of the fit. Fingers (or toes?) crossed for better news after the exchange.

So disappointed with these sandals. They are incredibly uncomfortable. The sole of the sandal is comfortable but this is completely overshadowed by the strap around the ankle which is torture to wear. Women’s feet are delicate and the strap is rough and digs into your skin…..it just doesn’t seem to sit comfortably and rubs harshly against skin so literally cannot wear them. Also, the straps across the foot are very big. They seem to be made for a swollen foot as they don’t sit close to the foot at all. I would return them but it costs over €20 to return them. Won’t buy again. :(
As far as sandals go I find these massively overpriced for what they are. Especially considering DM was nearly a poster boy for the national front back in the day. They were a gift so , it is what it is. However the fit I can comment on. DM sizes are not good my wife is a 6 they are clearly bigger. Even though they say 6. Anything smaller would have been to tight. So she has had to buy an aid just so she can wear this footwear. Disgusting considering how much Doctor Martin charge for them. But like all fashion trends I'm sure this one will run its course also. Photos clearly show they do not fit even though fully done up. Oh and the cherry on top these were a birthday gift. They take min of 14 days to rtn and they do NOT do exchanges.
I’ve been after a pair of Blaire sandals for years and finally plucked up the courage to get a pair! What I didn’t realise though is how difficult it would be to find the right size! These shoes are quite an odd fit being very long but also tight in some places and very loose in others. I’m normally a size 7 with a relatively wide foot and found with these shoes had to try multiple sizes ranging from 5-7 as the shoe is such an unusual fit!If you’re after this shoe, I would strongly recommend trying it on in a store so that you can try multiple sizes at once. The size I ended up going for was a size 6.5 as the length was better but I had to try on 3 different pairs of 6.5’s as they all fit totally differently! STUNNING LASTING WORTH-IT RECOMMENDED .. but I agree with above (Joanne.w & Susan.d) bough these June 2022.worn almost every day I LOVE THEM! fue things tho I noticed they are loose (like I have duck feet) around the toes & the holes on ankle one it’s too lose on the next it’s too tight I bough size 6. (I can punch another just haven’t yet) standing they are perfect to look down at fit in the soul nicely but walking it’s a night mare they are way to loose I can lift my foot & they won’t be touching to sole, I noticed this on school run(first ever wear) I also found I get stupidly dry bits on the sides of ball of my foot and heal. Due to the soul and fact it would cause sores/blisters when walking is why I ordered 6 online as none in store, I also didn’t get the 10% discount nor did my mom when she signed up to order daughters boots for school last yr too
