I bake a lot and would never buy another vanilla again except this one. This is the best one out there. I have tried all the expensive and cheap ones and always go back to this one. It actually tastes of vanilla and is very strong!

While slightly better than just vanilla extract, you can see that it has been diluted down with sugar by the consultants of the company in order to squeeze out some profits. It is not a professional baking product.

Used this today to make Creme patisserie and it gave the ultimate vanilla smell and taste. Before this I have only ever used vanilla extract, not the expensive versions, so cannot compare but I loved how it has flecks in so it made the cream pastry look even better.

I bake a lot and would never buy another vanilla again except this one. This is the best one out there. I have tried all the expensive and cheap ones and always go back to this one. It actually tastes of vanilla and is very strong!

I bake many, many cakes and only ever use this vanilla paste, plus Dr Oetker's Vanille Zucker (Vanilla sugar) in 1kg bags. I have been using this paste for many years and find the complaints about it being too sweet rather strange. Then again, I don't lick the stuff. It has plenty of vanilla in it and smells wonderful. One's only supposed to use 1-2 tsp of it. It's very easy and simple to use and is not messy. Just like a toothpaste tube, you unscrew the lid, peel the protective seal off, screw the lid back on and squirt. It's a good idea to shake it first a bit. I've been using this for years, but just lately they've watered the vanilla bean content, it's far sweeter and just doesn't have the same strong vanilla taste and smell it did have. Very disappointed that they've changed the formula, no doubt to save a few bucks! Have gone back to my old, more expensive vanilla paste.
Im not sure how I ended up with this as i usually go for the more expensive (and tastefully packaged) alternatives but Im glad I did. I had low expectations but wow! Really great flavour, easy to use and lasted a long time. I will definitely be buying again!
I usually go for the expensive beautifully packaged ones, but Im so glad I tried this. I think the flavour is excellent. The price is great. And I loooove the convenience of squeezing it out of a tube! So much easier than faffing around with jars!
Tastes like 100% sugar. Packaging is also terrible as there are plastic bits that are hanging from inside. Doesnt taste like vanilla at all! Is just sugar. Worst vanilla product Ive ever used. Is also not cheap at all
Cant criticise this product, though it contains syrup, its tricky to suspend vanilla in anything else, and I dont like the alcohol based alternatives. Unless buying pods, I think this is excellent value and flavour. Works in cakes, cream, icing etc. or home made custard.
This is an atypical product for Oetker. Sugar syrup with a few molecules of vanilla. I could not believe this when opening. We went to the closest supermarket and bought again a Nielsen-Massey product which is a completely different league
