The narrow neck connecting the blade to the socket on the handle is not strong enough. As soon as I used the tool it bent to the left or right depending which foot I was treading with. Because only one foot can be used at a time there is bound to be a bending stress on the neck. Even with the cutting edge ground down to be sharper and very careful use it still is unusable. (I have two old half moon cutters so I do know how to use them.) I notified Draper that their tool is not fit for its purpose and certainly not of the high quality that is claimed for their Heritage range. This is a shame because it looks attractive and is made of high quality materials.

Have been using this regularly for the past couple of weeks and very happy with it so far. Much easier to use than a spade for straightening edges, it's a good length and is quick to clean off once used. Can't comment on longevity, but for the time being it seems a good, cost-effective edger.

I thought I was buying a quality item however, the T-piece part of the handle snapped after 5 minute light use.

I was delighted to stumble on this tool. I had decided to only buy stainless steel garden tools from now on although the fact of it being stainless wasn't in the main heading. The blade is very thick (and needed sharpening - which I did with an angle grinder). Nice quality handle. Should last a lifetime
Top quality stainless steel lawn edging tool with solid Ash handle - will give many years of use.
I cannot really review this item as it was a present for my sister-in-law but it appears to be well & solidly made. Also its overall height is good as most other lawn edger's are too short for taller people, this one is the 'tallest' I could find.
