When I got this sample I was so excited to try it. It worked just like it says. Its easy to install. Just peel the tape and apply to the cabinet or drawers. I didn't need to use a screw driver. It has a check indicator and it shows if it's activated or deactivated. I used it for my side cabinets and drawers. It has a key that retracts the latch. It says to keep them away from the computer and cellphones and credit cards so that's what I did. It has 4 locks and one key. Love them! I absolutely love this product! The Mag Locks were very easy to install in cupboards and cabinets and totally hidden on the inside from the kids. They are self-locking and can only be opened with the magnetic key that comes with most packs. The instructions were simple and so easy to follow. I no longer have to worry about my toddler's getting into our cabinets! I highly recommend these for anyone with small children. I can't wait to purchase more of these for all our cabinets and drawers.

They can stay unlocked and are generally strong and work as expected. It would be great to have a subtle clear sticker to put on the outside so you know where to put the magnet. We have lots of different designs of cupboards which means the magnet needs to go in different places to unlock. A little on the pricey side for what they are.
I bought this a week ago & recently installed them in my kitchen. If I could return them, I would. The latch doesn’t always pop back up, even when there’s no magnet around so I’m constantly having to check that they actually lock. I would not recommend using on drawers — they’re bulky, don’t fit in the drawer properly & because of this have a tendency to pop off. I also would not recommend purchasing if you have a strong or determined baby. Some pop right open with little to no force.

I loved this product. It was so easy to install and then use that anyone could use it. I have always used those other products for cabinets but once I used these, I will never use anything else. The instructions were easy to follow and made installing it very easy. I had no problems using them. My 4 year old could not get into the cabinets, which I was not using these for but have a 2 month old that is coming up. I did not know these even existed until I received them in the mail. I highly recommend these to anyone with small kids. I will definitely buy these again. I have more cabinets that I need blocked off.
I bought this 4 days ago and installed, the instructions on the leaflet are a deadend so I used the video on this website. After locking I got the bubba to come and pull the drawer and it took him a second to pull the drawer. I went back to the store to return the maglock maybe it’s faulty or not compatible with my drawers and the consultant at the store told me I can’t because it’s open and we can’t sell it. I don’t know which company would resale some faulty products to another customer but I am disappointed that the store refused to even look at the product to check for faults. Now I’m stuck with the product I can’t use and my house is still not baby proof

We destroyed our first kitchen cabinets by screwing in the child locks to every single one. Luckily, this set comes with the option to JUST use the adhesive. It comes with screws if you want to go that route. It's always nice to have options. I installed the first lock myself on the cabinets that are underneath the kitchen sink. It has some cleaners and things I don't want Jax getting ahold of. Jax is seven months old and crawling and starting to open and close doors and drawers so it's time for the child-proofing! I read the directions through first and it took me a few minutes to figure out how everything went. Thank goodness for diagrams with pictures! I'm definitely a visual person. I first attached the Catch portion on one side and then used the included Template to set where I was going to install the Locking Mechanism. It did take me quite a while to do the first one but once I figured it out, I did my two bathrooms pretty quickly. The thing I like about this is that nothing is seen from the outside and it doesn't have those annoying things that catch when you try to open the cabinet and always inevitably break or stop catching. This is a much more sturdy set and doesn't have the same wear and tear by repeated jerking on the bar part of the typical set. I don't see these ever getting worn down enough to break and stop working. To open you just place the "key" against the outside of the cabinet and presto, it releases the lock so you can open it! Magical! As far as the key goes, I see that as the one drawback. What if you lose the key? A regular maginet won't work and I don't know about you, but keys have a way of getting lost in my house! Luckily it does come with a little hole in the key so you could put it on a ring. I put a ring on mine and hung it from something on the fridge. The problem is I also put these in my two bathrooms. I think it's better to get separate sets for each room if you're going to do multiple rooms so you don't have to carry a key from room to room when you just want to get something real quick. As I mentioned earlier, I love having options and this does have the option to leave unlocked if you choose if baby is at Grandma's for the weekend OR if Grandma chooses to use these at her house when baby is visiting. There's an easy check indicator with red and green lock images to easily see if it's locked or not before closing. I love these new Dreambaby Adhesive Mag Locks! They are so much better then the old kind we used to have! My husband was actually excited to see how they worked because he was dreading doing the child-proofing for the second time around!
