I have the dream baby gates throughout my railroad style apartment, one in the kitchen door, one in my girls doorway, and one to their brother's room. We had the regular wood gates and my son at a young age learned to climb over them. I ordered the Dream Baby gates and they were the best gates I have ever owned. They are very high, coming up above my waist (I am 5'6"). The extensions are very sturdy. They do not move when installed correctly.

Good sturdy gate/extension

Great extension, fits well with gate and makes a safe barrier over a wide space. Love that it doesn’t mark the walls.

Great Gate

The Dreambaby Chelsea gates are sturdy, easy to install, and very adjustable (so long as you measure in advance and purchase the correct extensions). The gate can stay open for pets (when kids are sleeping) and is very easy for adults to open with one hand. Don't forget to measure in advance and get the correct size gate and extensions.

The extension was a must since we moved. We made do with 2×4s for a few days and it did not seem reliable.

It works

They aren't kidding when they say you cannot add more than one extension per side. We have a large doorway and needed to add an extension to what was already an extension. We thought it would not be a big deal to add 2 small extensions together, however they bow when you do that. Once they bow, the gate latch will not line up properly. I recommend you go for the larger size extensions to be safe.

Perfect add on for large entryways.

Our new home has several large entryways into rooms such as the family room, formal dining room and the office. This extension was a perfect add on to the Dream baby gate because it keeps my grandson from getting near the stairs when he visits. Another reason this gate is fabulous is that it keeps my three (friendly) dogs from jumping on everyone as they come in the front door. Now they wait until we are in the family room to say hello! Wonderful product and the dual swing, locking door is such an asset! :)

Worth the Money

I needed a very large gate for a very strong dog who esapced, knocked over or jumped over every other gate we had before, the extensions allowed us to limit her to her the kitchen area of the house only, she has yet to knock it down after many attempts of ramming it with her body, also you do not have to apply hardware into your walls its mounts right against the wall and does not leave any marks at all. Would recommend for anyone who has a large opening that needs gate off, they are also super easy to install!
