These are next to useless. Poorly designed. you have to depress the lever to close the cupboard, mount it any lower an it won't latch. BAD ..........

Durable

My 3 year old son has gone through this Hulk smash phase, where he likes to find things & smash them like his favorite green hero..unfortunately, this does not suit his daddy & I. Anything that could be toxic, is far out of reach, but we keep age appropriate toys/pots for him to bang on/baking ingredients like flour & such, where he has access to them. All fine, until, while cooking, he Hulk smashes the bag of flour while carrying it to his daddy (who was cooking). He was tremendously amused with himself & the cloud it made...we bought these the next day & there has not been another incident. He is 4 now, & still likes to do a fair share of smashing, but we do this outside with water balloons.

Garbage

I bought 12 pack these 3 days ago. Only for package to be short parts for starters. To then install them and immediately have 2 snap within first 24 hours when pressed to open drawer. Swapped em with few left waiting see how long those last. My guess not long.

I love it!!

I have never used these before. I am so glad ui received a free sample. They are great! Keeps my little girl safe and out of harm's way! No matter how hard she pulls my cabinets won't open! These are the best ones I have found so far! I would totally recommend these Safety Catches to anyone who wants to keep their children safe!!

I wouldn't really recommend

The product was ok, it does its job. It was just as hard as any other safety latch to install. It's just very stiff material compared to others I have tried. I feel the spring loaded ones are much easier for adults and older people to open with, but kids cant. These are pretty hard to open. Kids can't figure out how to open and its sturdy. I can see after a large amount of use it will wear down and my kids will be able to get it opened. I would not recommend this. I recommend the spring loaded ones.

Like most other safety latches

These latches worked very well, they did their job and kept the kids out of the drawers I used them on. However, there was nothing special about them that set them apart from other ones just like them. If you're looking for some and you find these buy them, if you find another that is cheaper by all means by what's affordable. These will work good but so will others.

Need Installation Instructions

I received the Dreambaby Safety Catches from Viewpoints in exchange for an honest review. The installation was tedious and time consuming. The screws are not the best but they worked. Once the Safety Catches were installed, they provided security until I went to test them and two of the catches snapped in half. Over the next few days, several of the other catches broke. Before all the catches broke, it was a great deterrent from the little hands. Overall, I think the product is poorly made and would not purchase or recommend this product.

Perfect for my mini genius.

My little guy is seriously into every single cabinet and drawer. These where the perfect solution. My 3 year old gets the outside safety latches undone, but can't get these thank goodness. She has been helping her little brother open cabinets. These are really easy to install and neither of my kids have figured them out. We can easily still access everything. Only downside is you do have to screw them onto your cabinets which leaves holes but nothing too noticeable.

Work great

These are great unless you have a genius child with crazy dexterity. I do. And about 1/10 times she focuses on a cabinet to get into she can defeat these safety catches. But for the other kids who visit our house, these work 100% of the time. They are fairly simple to install if you have the right tools to screw them in and once you have them set up and are used to them, easy for adult fingers to maneuver. Even if your kid can figure them out occasionally, they buy you enough time to check on them before they can cause any significant disasters. Fairly sturdy compared to their counterparts that stick on.

When it came to baby proofing our house we tried several other brands, but wished we tried these Dreambaby safety catches first because they are the best. They are very easy to install, sturdy when pulled & tugged on and an excellent option for keeping small hands out of cabinets and drawers. Best of all, these latches are hidden from plain view and screw on the inside of the cabinets and drawers, unlike other latches. We use them in the bathrooms, kitchen and everywhere that is within our son's reach.
