Needed a dremel to remove support from 3D prints. Decided to get the brand name rathan than Ozito. It should of had a 15000rpm setting and 35000 rpm setting. The switch didn't click into any place, 15000rpm seemed more like 100 then once you tried to cut it would just stop and emit 50hz hum. First thing I saw when looking up "dremel failure" was bad switches. Bunnings did however give a full refund and I got the ozito rotary tool which works great (even if i'm not a fan of ozito). I tried the switches on other dermals on display and they feel equally as bad, the tool itself feels great quality but that switch really lets it down.

This is a good little tool build wise but it's major drawback is it's speeds. Low speed seems to stall really easy and can only be used on very soft, non-resistant material like foam and balsa ect. High speed is insane and basically burns/melts most material I have tried not to mention smokin' drill bits! But... It has still got me out of a couple of tricky situations and IS handy to have around. Will buy the variable speed version when I feel the need with no hesitation though.
I'm a resin artist so this tool is perfect for me, it has lots of bits in it that I needed and I didn't have to buy anything extra for it. It was good priced too.
Have just used the Dremel 200 to sharpen my Hedge Trimmer blades with one of the grinding attachments.I wish I knew about this Tool a long time ago, but so glad I have found it now!Used on the lowest setting with little to almost no pressure applied. Absolutely love it,perfect for the job and now no need to pay a professional to do the same job!!
It has two speeds, too fast and too slow. The slow speed has very little torque so it is absolutely no use for use with the cutting discs or any circular saw requiring a low speed. It does function (no matter how poorly) so I didn't return it. I use some of the accessories and some others from a 3rd party with my bench drill; that should give you a clue how good it isn't! Just trying to think of a way to use the motor for some other application.
Worked well while it was working, which wasn't all that long.After a couple of uses it started smelling and getting hot, then it stopped. Motor burned out. Lots of useful accessories.
First one was broken from new. On low speed setting it did not move. Just hummed. Returned to store and replacement was the same. Previous review shows this was a problem 2 YEARS AGO! Clearly manufacturer doesn't care. Dremel was once a quality brand. No longer :(
wow this is the best ever tool for doing almost all kinds of jobs ive been restoring lots of little brass and copper worn products
