I would have stayed with a red handle, Radio Shack torch with interchangeable tips. I've owned 4 of them in the last 17 years or so. But they are not easily available, so I picked up on the Dremel. I like their power tool. It is a nice little piece. So far, the Dremel Torch is better than any torch I've ever used. Time will tell, but parts are available.

Always loved dremel products, became aware through a good friend that they were discontinuing the pen style torch for the 90 degree version going forward so I had to act fast. Couldn’t have been any easier or cost effective than through my trusted ol’ Walmart app. Oh yeah...get you one (or 5 :)

I use this primarily to solder my hand made jewelry. It is excellent when working with small parts. It heats fast and the temperature control is precise. The flame lock is ver handy. I can reach all the controls with one hand. The gas canister is quite large an burn time is impressive. You get a lot for what you pay for. The metal case holds all adaptors firmly. I would highly recommend this Dremel tool.
I finally have an iron that gets hot enough for just about anything I need this side of Oxy/Ace. Out in the wind or otherwise, This jewel gets hot! It's nice and portable. I'm talking about first impressions of course. If it will last... only time will tell. However, out of the box, new and such, 5 stars.
I bought this brand because I have used a coworkers dremel and got familiar with it . I use it with open pin-point flame to soldier larger # 16 , 12, and 10 stranded wire. Also use it to apply heat shrink . Simple to use and is durable .
My husband bought this for me for mother's day and it is one handy little tool. I haven't used it too much but so far it's worked great for what I've needed it for. I used it to solder some jewelry and it was fantastic! Over all a great tool for a hobbyist, can't tell you how it would hold up in a professional setting where it is used frequently but it's just what I needed.
I've owned 4 Bernzomatic soldering irons, and all 4 of them broke after a month or 2. This one is much better built, heavier, and comes with more accessories. I should have bought the dremel a long time ago. Yes I recomend this dremel 2000. I forgot to mention the fuel tank is roughly double the size on this dremel also
Comparable to brands like snap on for 1/10th the cost! Great litte torch and for smaller projects lasts forever, bigger projects the butane goes relatively fast however worth it in the long run. I still have an electric one just to back this one up but highly reccomend
i haven't found anything i dislike about it. I love that it's light weight easy to use. and i have had it a week and it's already lasted longer than my last 3 torches i have purchased.. OH noticed its easier to handle when i used it to caramelize the sugar on my creme brule' (using the wide flame tool in the box) ;)
