A good machine, useful in the workshop, but the Instructions are very poor. many pages of safety info but, for instance, two knobs on the outside of the main plate are not referenced at all. If you have the time to fiddle and test that is great,

Nice product, it can be used like an electric fret saw in your hand without the table, or like a small band saw table, fairly quiet, brackets fitted on to work bench easily & held the table section tightly. I've only used it a few times so far, but it's done all I've asked of it. Blades are very small and a bit fiddly to fit at first, but gets easier the more times you do it. The instructions are laughable, you have to look at the pictures to be able to work out how to do things. I don't know how easy it is to get replacement blades, but you get 4 standard wood blades plus1 finer blade, so no rush to look for replacement blades. Everything comes in a sturdy plastic box with handle, so easy to store when not in use.

I've only used this on wood up to 5mm so far but it's excellent at that. It clamps to the bench easily and is light enough to move out of the way. It's not intrusively noisy but I use ear protection. The extraction port might be in an awkward position but I just collect it all in my lap and then vacuum me. Bellows would keep the cutting point clear of sawdust and an led light would be useful, but that said it's probably not intended for extended use. For all that, I wouldn't be without it. For the model maker I think it's a worthwhile addition.

Ideal for the hobbiest or diyer enthusiast. My granddaughter was given a dolls house. The problem was that there was some flower shaped wedges missing these were needed to keep it together. There were eight needed. A tedious job I thought. I purchased this saw and got the job done in no time.
I am extremely pleased with this tool which I bought for model making. It is really good for small accurate cuts in wood and plastic and possibly softer thin metals but have not tried that.I would have given 5 stars but the instructions are rubbish - difficult to follow how to assemble but got there in the end using a bit of diy knowledge. There is no information about how to get the best use out of the tool ie which blade for which material and what speeds to use.
I've used this for various small wood projects, it's simple to use, leaves a nice smooth edge, minimal sanding required.Inserting the blades is alittle fiddly but once in they are tensioned to a firm hold
Great little gadget. You can set it up anywhere or permanently secure it to a worktop. I have used it in the attic, shed and kitchen for quick and easy cuts. Once finished, it easily comes apart and gets stored in its protective carry case. All in all a great fret saw at a great price.
This is a great small tool, it is so handy for lots of jobs. I have arthritis in both my hands and find it hard to saw by hand, now I have time on my hand i'm always looking for things I can do. After making two nest boxes I thought I would try my hand at a dolls house, so I drew a plan and looked for a tool to help me. I already owned a Dremel cordless and was very happy with the slandered of quality, at first I had trouble putting the saw to the plate but this was because my hands. It was so easy to use and before I new it I had cut the all dolls house out. By the end of the week I had put it together, then I started to make fittings for the inside. none of this would of been possible without my Dremel Moto-Saw. Thanks to ScrewFix I bought this tool
Great piece of kit, the only issue I have with it is the storage case - really fiddly to return it in place and then close the lid..... Dremel make some good gear but the case sucks.....As usual, Toolstation fail in supplying replacement blades - so many things they sell without thinking about the consumable items; I bought a bench sander and they don't stock the circular abrasive pads.....
I got this saw to cut parts of a project I was planning and I must say it's a really good buy! Assembly is pretty straight forward although fitting the blade was tricky at first. I remedied this by going on YouTube and watching a couple of videos but it was still tricky. I had to use a torch to see inside and it appears the blade was the problem. I swapped blades and it went in easier. Once this was done I was all set to cut my first thing. I just had 4mm wood so I got cracking on it and it was very easy to use. And with a little practice I think it would be easy to cut more intricate patterns ect. The on off switch is a bit out of the way but that's OK for me as I wouldn't want to turn it on by accident. I'm trying thicker wood later but should think this little ...ย MoreI got this saw to cut parts of a project I was planning and I must say it's a really good buy! I'd recommend getting the hoover attachment to suck up dust as the collection of sawdust around the blade obscures your view if you have drawn a guide line on your project. I'm so happy I got this and canthe wait to do more with it.
