I gave one to my 10 weeks old Corgi puppy for the first time and she was the absolute she-devil afterwards until 3am. I was prepared for any potential side effects, such as diahorrea or lethargy, however I was not prepared for the hyperactivity. She swallowed the tablet no problems but afterwards she was very bitey, lots of barking, could not settle down for ages, and urinated a lot more than usual. Through Google I discovered hyperactivity is one of the side effects of Drontal and many other dog owners experience this.

I love Pet Circle. Great products. Fantastic service. However this particular product I bought on recommendation from a Pet Circle vet is terrible.A few hours after taking one tablet from the pack for dogs up to 3 kg my 10 week schmoodle seemed agitated and more hyperactive than normal. He couldn't get settled or relaxed. Was wide awake at times when he would usually be napping. He was more bitey and clawing at our arms and legs. Kept staring at things in the air that weren't there. Wouldn't stop whining and constantly wanted to be picked up and held only to paw at our arms to get down again. And he acted like we hadn't fed him in days. My bad.I definitely do not recommend this product and remind myself to always research anything that goes into my pup's body.

I recently have bought this drontal all wormer and this is the first time I give my dog Lollie, she vomited a lot after four hours and then start become restless and whinging at the night! She usually sleeps at 8 pm but after I gave drontal she kept whining for the whole night! She never had this kind of behaviour before. Then I saw lots of reviews on https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/bayer-drontal-allwormer-for-dogs?sortBy=ratingLowest#reviewsThen realised it is caused by Drontal! I wish I saw the review earlier! Only used the one dose and will throw the rest of the pills to the bin!
My vet recommended the Bravecto + Drontal combo for my pup, and I wish I had researched and read the reviews for Drontal. Similar experience to the other negative reviews below - Pup's behavior changed, was erractic and irritable, refused to sleep all day, did not have an appetite, barked continuously at seemingly nothing - All off which was out of character for him. The effects only finally wore off around 11pm at night.
Terrible diarrhoea, hyperactivity, crying, excessive urinating, erratic behaviour, biting and the list goes on... I certainly do NOT recommend this product and will never give it to my pup again. Poor thing was so distressed for over 12 hours.
I find Drontal is a very tolerable tablet for my chihuahuas with no adverse side effects, it works very well for them and I like this brand as it's been on the market for sometime, showing it's in demand, it works, and dogs can tolerate it well, I'm very happy with this brand and will continue to use a good reputable brand I know and trust for my dogs.
The free 3 packs of love em liver treats promotion with evey pack of drontal wormer led me to believe that the packs would be standard size packs, you know the size that you would purchase, however when I recieved them in the mail today I discivered that the packs were just tiny free sample sized packs and all of the treats were crushed. Very dissapointed as I forked out extra $ for this wormer with the belief that I was going to receive 3 standard sized packs of treats. As a pensioner its hard to fork out extra $ and when I decided to do this in the belief that my dogs would be getting great value in treats I was very disgruntled. Very unhappy !
