Black ones are more expensive than silver spokes but the black coating comes off easily(PLEASE IMPROVE). So do take note when placing your bike on a bike stand, the sides of the stand might scratch your spokes. Performance wise should be the same as silver ones. Heavier than DT competition.

DT Swiss is an industry leader in quality and performance, and the spokes recently purchased prove the fact. I have some cheaper brand spokes and DT is much more solid from a weight/feel perspective. I personally would not cheap out on parts that could put your life in danger, and spokes are one of those items of the wheel you should invest a bit more to ensure there is a lower chance of catastrophic failure. Highly recommend.

A magnet won't stick to these spokes. That tells you they are very strong and very corrosion resistant.
Nice, solid, straight gauge spokes. Definitely not the lightest, but the brass nipples are nice to have. Seems to be a great value. The wheels built up smoothly and so far (~200 mi) are holding up well.PROS: Rugged

These are my go-to spokes when cost is a consideration. Butted spokes save you weight, but will add some dollars to a wheel build. A good quality product.
I used these for an e-bike front wheel build with single cross pattern. I found it quick and easy to build and true the wheel. Time will tell how it lasts but so far so good
