I have always bought Dulux paint and chose this to paint my garage doors. Used Weathershield dark grey undercoat which went on like a dream. Not so with the topcoat in Weathershield gallant grey. It dries far too quickly leaving unsightly roller marks which you cannot go over as this makes it worse. The paint gives the doors a nasty plastic appearance and the light catches every roller mark - looks dreadful. I’m hoping I can rectify this by buying a different brand of exterior metal paint and repainting. I am anexperienced painter and carried out all the proper preparation work before painting.

Excellent product. Water based so easy brush cleaning afterwards.I find this primer works very well on wooden exterior doors.Tip once rubbed down completely, wipe over with a slightly damp micropore cloth. This has the affect of stopping the paint absorbing too quickly on new plain wood or older doors stripped. The primer levels very well and I only use Dulux exterior gloss over as the two products keytogether very well.White version primer for very light colours.

Bought as undercoat for a front door that I wanted eventually to look like 10 Downing Street. Very easy to apply. Good coverage. Applied 1st coat of black gloss and I’m on my way to achieving Downing Street finish. Would recommend.

This undercoat is great. It's got great coverage and not streaky at all. It's definitely fast drying, I would suggest not using when it's super hot or sunny as it will dry too quickly to get a nice finish. I did two coats on double french doors and still have over half a tin left! Goes a long way.
"God, 20 quid for *that* small tin!" I thought, but turned out excellent value for money. I've done two front doors with one tin, and still half the tin left. Goes on beautifully. Dries to a very nice finish, and colour wise this grey looks good in any light. Neighbours commented how good it looks. Even small dogs passing by turn their heads to look, their little furry lower jaws dropping slightly at the same time. Cats not so much, but we all know how critical they can be. Definitely recommended.
Excellent paint, usdd to repaint garden furniture, goes on nicely, used a number of brushes to paint 8 seats and a table. One 2.5liter tin was enough, now furniture looks like new. Dries really quickly, but was tacky for a few days after. Recoatd really well. Would recoment
I used this product on my garage door and was amazed how easy it was to use. I had about just under half of a wee tin left .I was at the same time painting our garden arbour . I made a mistake because the arbour had a very weird finish and I thought give it a good sand and use Ducksback on it. The Ducksback ( maybe not the best choice) went on but it was patchy in places after many coats. I thought to myself I will try that undercoat on a bit - we’ll to cut a long story short it Iooks so good maybe I will buy more keep it grey instead of the green it was.
I bought 5 2.5 litre tins of this for painting windows and doors. The paint is too thick and hence after 2 coats applied by a professional both doors and windows stick. After some weeks blisters have appeared which we can only think has been caused by the sun as those doors that are not in full sun have not been affected. All surfaces were appropriately sanded and Weathershield exterior undercoat and primer were used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. All in all the worst result we have ever seen. Please bring back the old paint formulas as this water based paint is just not suitable for outdoor use.
I purchased one then a second can of this to paint the ceiling to a deck area. The Matt finish still had a noticeable sheen and was unsuitable for a ceiling application with a very patchy appearance apparent on a flat surface. The coverage didn’t match the claim on the can.Unfortunately, I’ll now need to repaint the ceiling and treat this as an expensive undercoat.
This paint has great coverage and is long lasting in full sun. It covered up my old wooden shed well. Would like to have the option of a smaller pot size for touch ups (e.g., 1L). Great colour that's not too dark and flat as it has a bluish undertone. Love it!
