I totally agree with Jim from Birkdale (Advanced DIYer) - it goes a powdery light grey after a week. I want to thank Jim for posting his review. I only wish I had read it before using this pathetic excuse for a paint product. My brand new woodland grey colourbond fence suffered an accidental major whipper-snipper attack (not by me) and I thought I would use this to patch it up. I would have been better leaving it be. It looks far, far worse with this product on it as it has gone powdery light grey. I shook the can. I even applied a second coat. My fence is ruined and I can only replace the panels now thanks to Dulux.

After painting the patio the shed looked out of date. It was either put up screen panels or paint. Picked this product up with the recommendation from paint staff. Paired it with a deep etcher. The paint pressure is great for the first half. By this point you’d be getting to the coverage you get and adjust your speed. I suggest moving at the speed a pedestrian crosses the road whilst on their phone. Hot tip the spray cap can be twisted for spray direction. 3 tins to cover the front, buy extras as I had to go back.

Good quality paint, perfect colour match with my window frames so i could paint recently added lockplate and make it blend in seamlessly. No blobs and a good coverage.

Great paint in terms of colour profile. Simple and effective. Great durability. Excellent.ps; I love the whole Dulux Metal Shield catalogue. ( I have been using them for multiple years at this point.)
Awesome product, easy and fast to apply wot great results. I have never painted anything in my life and yet I did a pretty good job pairing my garage door in leas than 30min
This was not a match at all for my colorbond monument shed. My scratched door now looks like a graffiti artist's project book. Not just a waste of money, but it's caused a problem I need to find a fix for.
Bought a can to touch up the shed panels which I bought from Bunnings also, and my Fencing contractor also was using the same, so I followed his lead.All the touch-ups by my fencing contractor on the fences and fence bolts as well as my own touch up on the shed panels with my own purchased can have all gone a powdery light grey after about 6 months. Looks terrible. Tried to clean back the powdery surface with a mild cleaner, then resprayed the areas; but it finished up just bigger patches of powdery light grey on the darker woodland grey colour. Used dulux for first time in spray form and the experience is not that great. Competitor are way better than Dulux.I was repainting the security door(aluminium) and the can finished the half way!!Dont like the feeling when you are in mid of work and the finds the the product is unreliable!!
Painted colorbond security door, despite correct prep and application it came out matt look and feel (it states semi gloss) and then peeled off fairly easily with fingernail, after 48hrs.. I removed it all with 600grit sandpaper and re-did the job with rustoleum and it turned out perfect looking and better adhesion
When my whole house was doing new roof last year, there were some scratches during the installation. My roof contractor said to me to use spray paint to cover the scratches for the long term sustainability. I trusted Dulux and bought 4 cans of Metalshield Multipurpose Woodland Grey colour, and the tradie used all on the roof. What a big mistake I had make, after only couple of months, the colour was changed to powdery light grey. At the beginning, I think I was bad luck, but from the same experience of other people, Bunnings should ask Dulux to recall for this product. Thanks Dulux, you just ruin my new roof.
