Once again B&G does an impeccable job with their boxes. Everything is clearly made with love and care. My only issue would be that I assumed the set came with premade characters, like every box I ordered before, but was confused when the sheets were just the sidekicks from the adventure. This was my error since I didn't read the contents of the package before ordering. My box did come with a slight dent, but it's nothing to worry about. Thanks for another great product

The mini adventures have always brought a little something extra to flesh out specific sections of the adventure that can use a side quest. But no DM screen this time around. Have always enjoyed the custom made screens which really helped act as a guide for the previous adventures/world boxes. Hope not including DM screens is not a trend for future boxes.Overall another must buy for an DM that can swing it, or for a group that wants to spoil their DM and hint they want to play in Krynn.

I purchased this for my Dragonlance-loving wife as a surprise for her big 4-0 birthday. She's currently prepping to run Shadow of the Dragon Queen for our table and this boxset went above and beyond her expectations! Not only that, when she was going through the encounter cards she found that there were 2 Bozak Draconians in the stack, but no card for the Kapak Draconian. I reached out to the Support Goblin and explained the situation and a Kapak card was mailed out ASAP and arrived quickly.Very happy with the purchase and customer support. Will definitely be looking into other boxes for future campaigns!

First time buyer -

First time buyer so i can't compare to other boxes. Overall I'm pleased. Everything seems high quality. The art on the monster cards and the maps are the big draw to the box for me. I can make the handouts easily and could purchase the tokens/pendants separate if needed.RE: the partial map issue. Not a criticism, but I thought people should know what is included. Full battle map of: Wheelwatch Outpost, the Mansion, + Bluemaw CavePartial maps: 4tha nd 5th floor of Threshold of Heavens, 2nd floor of Wakenreth, Ground floor of Bastion, Cavern portion of Sunward Fortress and 1-2 rooms each of Catacombs, Path of Memories and Flying Citadel.I understand decisions needed to be made to control cost, but would have preferred fewer complete battle maps rather than so many ... MoreFirst time buyer so i can't compare to other boxes. But B&G are the pros, I trust their decision making re: doing what they think is best within their budgets for each of these things. There are fully laminated 8.5x11 pages for each map for quick DM reference. These are well done, able to be wet-erase marker written on, and will be great for notes.Just a guess, but I think the reason there is no Campaign specific DM screen is because WOTC put one with the affiliated board game and wants you to buy it there.I'm looking forward to running the additional encounters, and have one player that will love the pendants. I'm not sure how much use I will get out of the pantheon cards other than the Wizards and Knight ones, but these could be really valuable if there are more adventures set in the world, or if I homebrew some stuff. I doubt the journals will get much use from my party, but other parties may love them. The Monster cards are a godsend for my players as we approach needing bifocals. It's getting harder to see the details on the tokens I make for these games.Hope this helps you decide if this well done product is worth it for you.

Good for what you expect to be in there

The best features are the Bonus Encounters(as usual), the Battle Maps(my favorite of these box sets), and the DM aids (especially surprising in the helpful little things it provides).Additionally, the affiliation cards are also useful for people new to the setting to peruse and decide what gods or factions they may choose.Kalaman Special Forces passports are very nice, along with some of the blank, fancy notes, even if they are more one-use items. There's a triangular flag or pennant thing that has already bent in the tip because it doesn't really fit with the other handouts and hardware. The Dragonlance Battle maps are fragile paper rather than the more durable material used for battle maps from the Icewind Dale and Fizban's Treasure boxes. Most egregiously, ... MoreThe best features are the Bonus Encounters(as usual), the Battle Maps(my favorite of these box sets), and the DM aids (especially surprising in the helpful little things it provides).Additionally, the affiliation cards are also useful for people new to the setting to peruse and decide what gods or factions they may choose.Kalaman Special Forces passports are very nice, along with some of the blank, fancy notes, even if they are more one-use items. These are instead the exact same 6 Sidekicks provided by hardcovers of this module.

Pretty Meh
2 February 2023

Everything you get in the box is very nice and high quality.A lot of what you get I feel is incomplete or missing. There is not GM screen or Completion Coin. The half the battle maps you get are just for 2 or 3 rooms of an entire floor, having half hallways and rooms at the edges of the map. The 27 affiliation handouts are basically the same things you get when you buy dice set for campaigns from D&D. Those cost $25 come with a nice set of full dice, a dice rolling box, and the same handout found here.I feel like this is Silver Edition level, but cost Gold Level. If you look at what you get in the Curse of Strahd box for not much more money, there is a huge different in content.

Steel Edition Delivers
6 March 2023

B&G continues to delivery great value and excellent quality. My Steel Edition arrived in perfect condition. When I get a B&G set I don't by the hardcover so that's $50 saved right there. Then, considering the maps and what it would take to print those out yourself, or have someone print them, you can easily save another $50-$100 depending on how you go about it. Then the artifacts, the creature cards, the handouts can set you back even more. On top of all that, even if you did recreate similar items yourself then you have to take in consideration the time spent. Certainly for myself this is a no-brainer and B&G has an excellent product. This is my 4th boxed set and I've been happy with all of them.

The almost perfect Box Set!!
10 February 2023

I would first like to say that, I love everything in the box. The artifacts are heavy, beautiful and feel well made. The handouts are great and I can't wait to use them in my game. The maps are fantastics however, this is my first complaint the maps are not the full dungeons. I must have missed that in the discription but I thought I would get the whole dungeon map. You only receive the locations within the dungeons that are likely to have big encounters. I also would have liked for the maps to be in the tube instead of just folded in the box. Rolled up maps are easier to get to lay flat. The other complaint have is with how much these sets cost, nice folders should be included to hold and keep organized all the maps and handouts. Instead they are just shrinked wrapped and once opened just lay in the box and get shook about, this could lead to the material getting damaged. The other thing that is really missing from this box is a DM screen, the DM tools are nice but I feel an actual screen would have been really helpful. This was my first Beadle and Grimm's purchase so I had very high expectations, I do feel that this set fell a little short of my expectations. However, what I received is a wonderful edition to my TTRP collection.

This made my Game a Premium Game
9 February 2023

These boxes are not cheap, but if you want to bring your at home campaign from just your fun at home Game to your fun at home Premium Game. These boxes are for your. All of the extra physical handouts and bits to include in your game. The wet erase full double page maps instead of the single page maps in the book elevate your tabletop game. This box was one of the best purchases I made for my at home game, and am excited to see what other Dragonlance content is created!

You want Dragons? Look no further!
28 December 2022

If you're looking for the Dragonlance setting, then obviously, you've found it. If you're *not*, and you're just looking for new D&D content, then there's a fair bit in here. A few magic items that might catch your eye, a new playable race, and (in my opinion) some modular pieces - i.e. a dungeon or two - that you can pop out and use in your own homebrew campaign world. There are also a LARGE number of new campaign-specific feats, which with a bit of tweaking could easily have their lore/flavour removed and used pretty much anywhere.
