This is one of the better official modules for D&D 5e. It features zombies, dinosaurs, zombie dinosaurs, and a whole raftload of creative situations and decisions for players to engage with. The initial hook is somewhat weak from a narrative perspective, and there's an abrupt tonal shift towards the end (especially in the titular Tomb of Annihilation), but these are things that a decent DM can manage without too much difficulty - and, depending on the players, might in fact be desirable! The land of Chult provides plenty of content for all three pillars of D&D gameplay (combat, exploration, and social), so if you put in the work it will reward you richly.

Refreshing! This is an enjoyable campaign in a fresh setting with an Indiana-Jones-meets-Lara-Craft-meets-superbad-undead-bad-guys vibe. It provides an injection of freshness by giving the chance to take a Forgotten Realms campaign and adventuring party somewhere new and leaving them wanting to spend more time in the exotic land of Chult. Very happy to have invested in this product, especially as a number of the quests within the campaign could easily be ported for use elsewhere if they go unused as part of your main campaign.

A solid adventure from the current edition of D&D. An extended and remastered version of a First Edition adventure, this story sees the group traveling to the rich jungle lands of Chult, complete with villages, bizarres, a death jungle, several fallen kingdoms and a few misfortunate surviving settlements. This adventure is recommended for adventurers after an initial campaign has been completed as every mechanic of the game is used here consistently. The game rewards smart adventuring and tactical use of all skills acquired and is an intense run through a land with many colorful characters and deadly foes. Entertaining puzzles, encounters, and stories are to be had!
The 5th Edition adventures are a vast improvement on my last experience of Wizards of the Coast's previous attempts (v3.5) - they give a wealth of information and many sandbox options for players to carve their own path, as well as much more comprehensive information for DMs. In terms of the book quality, the 5th Edition books seem to have slightly thinner pages than the 3.5 equivalents but have lovely, high-quality matt/gloss covers and wonderful art. Incredible value for money.
The pricepoint for this book was a little expensive but the content itself is great. Arrived in perfect condition and earlier than expected. Definitely recommend if you are looking to add to your adventure collection!

Such a complex adventure!I started this campaign with nearly 10 players! With that being said, even with such a large number of player characters I've been able to waive them in and out of the story effectively due to its broad adventure mapping and well written guidelines. Heavily suggest this to all D&D geeks!
OG 's called it Tomb of Horrors. Newer gamers call it Tomb of Annihilation. After playing it, it's usually called a Total Party Kill. Very tough, but more fair now than it used to be. Make a character that you don't care about and throw it to the wolves.
This remake of what was considered the most difficult dungeon in D&D ever is really good…well, it depends largely on your DM. Some encounters with the environment can be misinterpreted and lead to some interesting results. Regardless it’s an incredible (and loooong) adventure not for the faint of heart.
