Does everything -- record ,erase re-use ,play --- faultlessly !!!

I have made recordings for 25 years using all the major brands ,of which a large number either failed to record , or refuse to play on tv's with DVD players . however , I can say that without exception , every one of the 150 I have used never fail to format ; record ; erase ; re-record or play after finalising on all mine and my families' devices . I have just bought another 50 , because there isn't a more reliable brand

Excellent DVD's

These DVD's are exactly what we were looking for. We needed a 4X + RW because our recorder is older and can't handle the 16x speeds. We didn't realize this until we had to return the 16x. The recorder wouldn't even format the 16x discs.These Verbatim discs are wonderful and the price is great too. The picture quality is excellent. The packaging of the discs is wonderful. It's really nice that each disc comes in its own jewel case. Not only do you not have to buy disc cases, but these jewel cases keep the discs clean and scratch free instead of getting the spool with every one piled on top of the other one and risking some working and some not. You can't make a mistake buying these unless you're looking for the higher speeds that will work for you.

The only brand I would buy!

I have bought hundreds of Verbatim brand DVDs for recording and never regretted it. I can't say the same for Sony brand, which surprised me. A package of 10 Sony DVD+RW had 2 defective disks. My first purchase of the Sony DVD+RW was my last purchase. Verbatim ever since, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, all have been good. I may have had one or two defective Verbatim DVD disks out of hundreds, but it has been so long that I can't even remember . . . that's reliability! Maxell is another good brand, but the disks have no lines to write on. Verbatim has 4 lines on the bottom of each disk for writing the contents, which is very convenient.

These work right every time!

I use these with my Magnavox DVRs to transfer shows I want to save. I also use them to remove content I haven't watched yet when the DVR is getting low on recording space. Once I've watched them I can reuse them. I have been using this brand for over 5 years and I don't remember ever having a bad one. I also use them with my computer and they always work with that too. I have found the DVD+RW works way better than the DVD-R or +R or -RW. They are less hassle and can be edited. Overall these are the most consistently top quality and usually the least expensive DVD+RWs out there.

Verbatim DVD+RW 4.7GB 4X 10 pk Jewel Case

These discs have to be formatted to record video on my Panasonic DVD recorders. This is done easily. Once formatted these discs perform as well as any other. Unlike RAM discs they can not be edited. They can easily be rerecorded multiple times. If you have a hard disc drive recorder you can edit a recording then transfer that recording to these discs. Once finalized I have not had any trouble playing them on any DVD player.

I bought these disks because I'm transferring a lot of photos and tax records from my computer's hard drive. I had been using CD-RW disks for this, but found that those are too small for my files. When I burn a disk, I want to keep all of the related files (ex: all the tax records for one year) together rather than splitting them between multiple disks. These DVDs are big enough to store all of my current tax records or photos and still have room to add more items later.
