After reading the reviews I took a chance buying this item although more expensive than most similar items in the range I am more than happy with my purchase it is whisper quiet with a good range of settings rated for outdoor application I am using it indoors

Bought one today and straight out the gate had a high pitched squeaking issue as stated by others, tried adding silicone spray which wasn't affective will run it for a day then see about returns. Super,Super disappointed considering the cost.

I bought this fan last week and its a fabulous looking fan! only one small thing is that when you first switch it on it omits a really high-pitched squeal. I called the distributor and they advised that its because the parts have been over-tightened in prep for transportation. I was asked to spray some silicone spray on the central shaft / blades and it would loosen it up. Worked a treat and the sound has now gone ! love it so much that I'm going to buy the wall version for my pergola :)

On returning a recently purchased smart fan because of a high pitch noise the Bunnings staff member advised this hadn’t been reported previously. So I decided to take a replacement. That was 2 weeks ago. I have used this fan daily on my deck since I got it and there has not been any high pitch noises at all, so there was obviously a problem with the initial fan I purchased. Overall this fan provides a good range of speeds, good oscillation range, a handy remote and is fairly quiet when running - thank goodness! A bit early to know whether the dust resistance works but the water resistance is a great feature. These features is what attracted initially and now I do recommend this smart fan.
I purchased this fan for my outdoor deck area several weeks ago. Assembly was very easy and operation via the remote or the app is simple as well. It offers a wide variety of speed settings which is really good, but there is a high pitch whining sound which is really annoying. I thought this annoying noise might “disappear” after use for a period of time, but that hasn’t happened. Consulting the manual offered no reason for this noise at all. Perhaps it is due to the metal blades. I cannot recommend this fan and I will be returning it.
